Great little store and friendly staff. Good place to stop for snacks or drinks before heading to hiking spots like bearwallow mountain or chimney rock. They also sell some really nice merchandise and candles.

Great little spot on 74 between Chimney Rock and Fairview. Eric is great and more people should stop here so he can keep his fridges stocked with yummy beers and provisions for everyone!!

Visiting the area for a solo weekend getaway and stopped in after seeing the signs. Good selection of snacks (including pickles!), a few beer and wine options in cans, and hiking essentials. Cool tshirts and hats if you like to pick up a useful souvenir. Great outdoor area to enjoy a beer on a nice afternoon! Got a recommendation for a safe, solo sunset-watching spot (if you have ever hiked down a mountain in the dark you know what I mean). Thanks!

Awesome spot located in the in between. Great spot for a pit stop before or after a hike. Awesome local goods in the mix as well as maps, hear and some quality merch. If you’re in the area and need anything then definitely stop in for some local knowledge and hospitality!

Great having a place like Bearwallow Provision close to the house so you can buy stuff. Especially if you're not wanting to wheel crank to food lion. Nice talking to Erik as well.

This is an awesome spot to stop at in Gerton, in between Asheville and Chimney Rock. Not only is the surrounding area absolutely gorgeous, the shop carries all sorts of essentials and snacks from local brands that they partner with. Plus the owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area if you’re from out of town. I highly recommend stopping here... and their shirts are seriously the softest shirts I’ve ever felt.

Solid pitstop for climbers/boulderers in the area. Great crag snacks. Friendly, knowledgable staff who are a great resource on outdoor activities nearby. I hear they might carry some climbing essentials and beer soon!

The Gerton community, as well as anyone passing through this mountain town, must be very happy to have this unique general store now open! Whether it's trail snacks, camping necessities, or just essentials, Bearwallow Provision Company has it all! Great products, great people, great place!

I was driving from Chimney Rock State Park to Asheville and wanted a snack. Lots of little local snacks here, I got a local soda (cherry? huckleberry? i can't remember) made in Weaverville that was delicious and some honey sriracha potato chips - nice to try new things!

Support local business and stop in to get your supplies. I didnt need any groceries but got a really cool hat and shirt. Also got a good deal on some hand tied fishing flies and a good bit of local knowledge on where to use them. We will definitely be going back everytime we are in town.

Not only is this spot a great place to grab local provisions, it’s an incredible hidden gem of a community! We attended their live music on a Friday night + the atmosphere was incredible!!
