I drove 1.5 hours to get to this store and I'll be doing it again soon. These are some of the most polite associates I've ever experienced.The meat sale was PHENOMENAL and the butcher was amazing. I'd never used one and he walked me through how to make my choices.The cashier and young man who helped bag my things were amazing and so sweet.Total worth the drive!

I was camping at a nearby park and needed some food and odds and ends. Found this store with a Google search. From the outside, it only appeared to be a large convenience store, looks can be deceiving. The store is well stocked with all the staples as well as some general hardware items as well. The store was very clean and everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful.

Purchased a boneless rib roast. Was very pleased with service (cut to my request) and quality of beef. They were very busy but check out was fast; no waiting. All advertised items were available. I recommend this store

The meat sale they run monthly is great and they do have a fairly good selection of groceries including produce. The people are generally pretty nice. You do have to check through your receipts though, I have been double charged for items four times now. I didn’t say anything the first time and wrote it off as I should have been more watchful the second. The third time I was kind of upset about it and returned to the store. They were very willing to refund my money. This time I remembered before I got to my car and they refunded my money very quickly but I believe at this point it is worth warning others to be aware.I’m updating this review to say I’ve been shopping there bi-weekly for about a year since the above review and I have not been double charged. Whatever was causing the problem seems to have been fixed.

This place is great. Reminds me of Galaxy Foods in Mt. Airy, NC. The store doesn't seem to be so clean and the aisles are not wide and accommodating. However, the meat sales and friendly staff make up for this. The meat at this location is excellent and the butchers are great. They listen and do as said. The manager staff are quick and jump in to help. I love this store and will continue to visit always.

Great little grocery store. Meats prices were VERY reasonable. It is about 20 miles from downtown Suffolk.Steak. $5.99Ribs. $1.99Ham. $1.19Chick $1.19

While visiting my grandparents they sent me on a grocery errand. I was a little confused at first because it's also a Shell station. I was pleasantly surprised by how much stock they had. The prices were not too bad either.

Not a bad place to shop. The meat is good and they have lots of sales. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the manager. He just isn't friendly and he goes back on his word. I am a customer not a employee, I wouldn't work for him.

Can't say enough about this place. The new manager is a good fit. The prices are INCREDIBLE on some items! I shop here nearly everyday for myself and my patients. Senior citizens with a small food stamp allotment can benefit from shopping here and I'm SO grateful.

Unfortunately, this is the only store here!It's okay, But the fresh veggies an fresh fruit is anything but fresh. They wrap the fruit an veggies bad side Down. It's always a waste of money. I really wish we could get a foodlion here! I've lived here 13 years in NC. An everyone takes there money to VA.

They end up having a lot of sales, but it generally isn't a good sign when your local store is constantly having sales on just about everything. They offer a variety of products and generally have Faygos of a good variety which I enjoy. However, they also will get mark down meat and produce to a lower price rather than throwing it away when it gets discolored and starts going bad. Their cakes will end up being really dry and kind of gross as well. I've never had them be fresh from there.

Under the new management I like the family pack meat specials. More bang for my buck and I have always had good quality meat. Like the new management. The store used to be dirty and had A lot of old food, some even dusty. Now the store seems to have had a rebirth. The new mgmt seems to know what he's doing.

I just wanted to admire all of the young men and women that are employees for Family Foods ,They always have a smile and ready to assist you with any need.Its very rare to find teenagers of that age in this day and time to actually like there job and be so friendly and helpful at the same time so I am proud of them and not to forget the other staff as well as the managers you guys truly made shopping there very convenient and welcome

They are expensive. They carry the usual southern foods. Oh and other foods that I didn't recognize. They did have Land of Lakes salted butter. It's fine for running in to buy some stuff that you forgot to get.

Great store in a small community. Clean for an older building. First of every month they have great sales on meat products. Take the drive and check it out.

Great Grocery Store!!The staff is "focused on helping customers" and keeping the store clean & well stocked..Kudos on proper attire for your employees!Their Meat Dept's ground Chuck will make you the "Best Burger ever! Weekly sales are hard to beat.. Coffee section even carries Luzianne..killer bold and smooth without high caffeine. Amen.Thank you Mike and Everyone who transformed this store into a great destination and asset to the community!In both Life and Business: You will never be any better than what you "settle for."Kudos for setting the bar High and keeping everyone focused!
