I have been using Petsmart grooming for the last 5 years and have never really had any problems despite all of the bad stuff i have heard so i continued to bring my pup. However you guys have AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was cancelled on the day before, brought my pup in. They needed an updated proof of vaccine, so they called over to the vet area because i had my baby with me and a 120lb dog. However when the lady that was doing my grooming came to the front i could tell that she really didn’t like her job and didn’t want to groom my pup. I tried to have patience and give her grace but ended up walking out because of her overall attitude and demeanor, which didn’t sit right with me from the beginning. Sorry, but i will be taking my dog somewhere where they don’t let people practice!

Gastonia petsmart doesn't usually have what I need in stock...I usually go to the Lincolnton one because of this. However I did get this little guy the other day. Only one I've seen like him. A koi betta I've seen before but not with this pattern/colors. They had a great selection of bettas a few days ago.

I was very disappointed yesterday with the customer service at this location. I went in the store to recover receipts so I could file taxes for a business. We would have the receipts but unfortunately the device that was holding them was taken. It took about 5min for someone to assist me. The first representative that tried to help was not rude and try to accommodate my request. She was unable to figure out how to print my receipts, so she called for that manager on duty. The manager on duty was named Sean (not the correct spelling from what he told me later). Sean told me there was nothing he could do to help me Because of a system update in March and I would need to call customer service. I asked him would he mind calling customer service Or tech-support to ask of any other options, while I was in the store. He refused to call and told me the number. At that point, I asked For his managers name. He told me he was the manager and his name “Sean”. I had to ask him for almost 3 minutes, the name of his manager. He stated he wasn’t giving out any personal information. I told him the name of his manager was not personal information. At this point, of course I’m upset, but what really threw me over the edge was this “manager” Told me that next year I should keep up with my receipts and not wait to the last minute, to get them to file taxes. This “manager” was completely out of line with that. It’s a reason why I don’t have my receipts, no fault of mine. Even if I didn’t keep one receipt, it’s not his responsibility to offer his RUDE personal opinion. It’s his job to help the customer. He continued to speak over me even while I was on the phone with customer service. He continued to stand there for 10min continuously clicking the belt clip of his price scanner while I was speaking with customer service. Please stop putting these untrained, aggressive, immature, young people in positions they can’t handle. Customers can get upset and need extra help. They need to be mature enough to handle these situations. I’m still waiting on a call from the regional manager. I would rather spend more at Petco than be treated disrespectful for a lower price. I hope “Sean” doesn’t treat other businesses that spend a lot of money in your store this way or regular pet parents.

Isaiah G Is an amazing grommer he was very patient with my big boy and can we talk about good my dog looks . My dog has anxiety , don’t like certain areas too be touched and Isaiah was patient and understanding. I will definitely be booking with him again . Here is a picture of my sweet Aussie Pyrenees bear

They always have great deals for my pets! This year for Christmas we purchased bounce reindeer and snowmen. They were buy 3 get 2 free. We also purchased a glow in the dark dinosaur head for our snake! All in all the prices are pretty reasonable, and the employees are friendly!

Disgusted. They should ashamed of themselves. So many dead fish in their tanks it’s appalling. PetsMart used to be my go-to place to get deals on filters and food for my aquariums and pond. But, after seeing the condition of their fish tanks I’ll just spend my money and pay a few dollars more supporting local fish stores who actually care about the lives of their fish. I understand fish can be hard to keep alive, but, come on PetsMart you should do better.

Highly recommend NOT booking your dog under Tiana. My dog was visibly shaken when I got her back I can tell she was rough with her. She's started flinching when I go to touch her collar now. When I came in to pick up she was having a very unprofessional conversation that was not appropriate. Overall a very uncomfortable experience.

Always check their online price, shelf price, and what the price at the register says. Sometimes they're 3 different prices. I've gotten to where if the shelf price if better than online then I'll take a pic bc half the time @ the register it's a higher price. Watch petsmart, they'll hit ur wallet if you're not paying attention. But love the stock they offer, always quality items.

Only giving one star from my last experience…I have a super well behaved Saint Bernard. He has been groomed at the facility 3 times. Let me preface he has NEVER used the bathroom in the house. Every time I pick him up he is more than ready to go which is because he hates not being around his people, I get it and he does not do well with a kennel from past experiences. The last and forever final time I picked him up we went shopping for a new toy like always he almost used the bathroom on himself in the store which he would NEVER do. We ran him outside and he must have not been able to use the bathroom for 7 HOURS!!!! My poor babies stomach was so upset and he was so out of it. I WILL NOT EVER USE PETSMARTS GROOMING EVER AGAIN!Also the first time I took him to be groomed at 8 months I dropped him off and as I was walking around the store I heard the groomer walk up to a manager and say they should decline service because he was too big and scared to get into the tubs..I should have known then this was not a safe place for my boy.

The kid that opens the store at 6:30 in the morning, needs a real attitude adjustment. Doesn’t even look old enough to carry such a responsibility of opening the store. Looks like he just got out of diapers. He is rude. And really needs to watch how he talks to someone that’s literally old enough to be his mom! 👌

Visit on 11/5/23 as someone who has three beta fish and knows betas are the most abused fish breed. The care and treatment of these fish is sickening. Do better.

Do not and I do mean do not take your dog to pet smart to be groomed or your dog will be butchered. This is how my one year standard poodle came back to us. Jacy who was apparently inexperienced cut my dog where he had cuts on his skin. She felt him and said his legs were matted only when we dropped him off which is normal for a poodle and when we came back she said his whole body was matted which was an outright lie. He’s been cut 10 inches before and has never looked like this! She also tried to tell me that the way he looks is because of the way his hair grows. It was excuse after excuse. Stating he was agitated. Well if someone kept cutting you you would be agitated too; however, we watched him in the window from the parking lot and he wasn’t even moving. No, she is horrible at what she does and should be retrained. Even the manager was flabbergasted. Thanks for ruining our Christmas pictures.

Took my dog for a haircut and it’s horrible I will not be returning this is a mess!!! Do they hire just anybody to work in there??? Expensive mess is what I received 😑

Wanted to adopt this pretty little boy. If you are going to pay $150 for a an animal, you are darn sure going to make sure you take very good care of it. Too many rules and too many stipulations in order to keep the animal you are trying to adopt. I have 3 animals at home, very well taken care. Ages 8, 9, and 13, very loved and very spoiled, just wanted to add one to the family. I can't in in good conscience adopt this beautiful boy, if I'm going to be watched every second of his life. I hate that he won't get a good loving home, because of those extreme rules.

If I could give a zero I would. I took my dog to get a pawdicure and the lady who did his nails was so nasty with him and I didn’t like how she was grabbing him. Very inpatient considering this was his first time. My husband said something to her and she changed her attitude since she noticed we were watching. I will never go back here. Who even knows how’d she be if nobody was there to watch or say something. Glad I didn’t leave my boy. People who act like that shouldn’t be working with dogs.

I love this place we always get crickets for our tree frog and I'm always getting treats and toys for my cat and they have the cutest collars and clothes for dogs and the toy and bone selection is amazing we can't wait to get our dogs picture taken with Santa on sunday

This is one of the worse places I have ever brung my French Bulldogs they do not do what they say they are going to do and the price they give you is always less than when you go too pay. Don’t waste your time going here they suck

Savannah in the grooming area did an amazing job with my dog. She is very kind and professional. The entire staff was awesome to work with, from a friendly greeting when I arrived to making sure they informed me of all the services they offered and helpful recommendations for my dog.

Tried to get my dog scheduled to be groomed (this wasn't a one time groom. We were planning on being regular bi monthly costumers). We have been here one time previously and they ended up charging us a lot more than they had said it was going to be because my dog was nervous and jumpy when they got the buzzer for his hair cut. It required two people to get his hair cut. I understand getting the extra charge that's fine with me. Called back to schedule the second appointment. It was a 5:30 appt. Well I get a call a couple days before the appt. saying that they need to reschedule because he can not be the last slot because he requires two people. I told her we needed after four no matter what day. They keep rescheduling him for earlier in the day. I called to speak with someone to see if they could please get him scheduled for round 4 on any day (as in even if it's months out) she refused and said, "well there's nothing we can do because we're bucked so your just going to have to keep the 12:30 appt (that they scheduled for me-i didn't make it) I again said no and to just cancel. They were rude and cold about. Oh and just to point out. My dog is almost 12 years old. He's not aggressive. He's been around buzzers before because I use to groom him.
