I love this store SO MUCH. I could spend all day & way too much money in there 😂 they have something for everyone and something for every room in your house! The prices are great and I've only bought one thing that didn't work (an LED light strip) but I brought it back and swapped it for another that works great with zero hassle. The employees are always super nice and the store is always really clean! Definitely recommend this place to EVERYBODY I know!!**Pictures I added to this review are 3 items I bought at the Gastonia location, I have no idea if they're still available in store. The first two pictures are posters and the other images are of a Schitt's Creek journal. They definitely have a few Schitt's Creek items in store and I hope to eventually have them all!

I went in with my brothers and I usually don’t have a problem with this 5 below but the cashier that rang me up was so rude, she was telling me about the survey on the key pad and I’ve done it before so I was going to press the x to skip but before I could she said “don’t press it I’ll get in trouble” I proceeded to press 2 and she said “was it really that bad” and I told her I didn’t mean to do that and she was like “well now you know” definitely the rudest encounter I’ve had there and definitely my last.

It's ok, we went the other day and my fiance was looking at some of the Halloween decor. One didn't have the price up front (it was towards the side versus the other signs were up front and easy to see) but to keep them from looking I automatically asked the first employee I saw. Now my fiance doesn't like to ask for help but personally I don't mind. They prefer to look for something for a good minute before truly asking for help but I find it faster to just ask. The employee in question seemed off and not friendly. She said in a pretty snarky and almost "your dumb" tone that it was on the side and walked away. This made the whole shopping experience essentially not welcoming and we immediately paid for what we had and left. I understand that it can be annoying that people ask questions even if it's in plain view but I don't need an attitude. I've worked in the service industry my whole life and I have my days but don't take it out on the customers.

Cute & useful items that can be used by more than the intended target audience. Useful for decor, organization, holiday decor as well as gift giving for the pre-teen to teen age groups. Staff at this location, in my experiences, have been consistently friendly & professional wether full of people or early morning after opening. When I actually have had to return something (which only once of those times was due to item issue) they've honored the policy without hassle including when I lost the receipt. I wanted to mention that because people tend to assume cheaper automatically means poor quality or a headache should you need to return an item. Five Below is an example it's not the case.

Not our usual Five Below & I was not too impressed. They had ONE person working all by herself! No self checkouts & she tried to call for help when the line got long but they just abandoned her. She was pleasant despite management obviously blowing her off. We'll stick with our regular location.

I love this place. I spend so much money here. I don’t even care. They have the greatest soundtrack playing Ross lynch! Love! 10/10 come. I have bought so many squishamllows. Love the staff love everything. Slay!

Lots of cheap stuff - saw a lot of it online thru penny store sites. Anything worth considering was priced between $10 & $25. So the name of the store means nothing anymore.

Store was well stocked and spaced out! Had something for everyone on my holiday shopping list. Girl at the register bagged all my items in 1 GIANT plastic bag and said "have a good life". I'm choosing to view it as a positive comment.

This place has cute little things that might not be the most durable or well crafted options, but they're great to make a space feel more homey or for a quick gift for a child. Prices could be better displayed, but that's a marketing tactic to sell more. They have pretty decent art supplies.

I went into the $5 below in Gastonia once a year or two ago and hated it. It was dirty and more unorganized than any retail store I've ever been to. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to find a beautiful and clean store after giving them a second chance. I even found a manager to tell them how pleased I was with the updates. I found a very nice leather woven rug which I took to the check out. I rang up and didn't think too much about my total being $6 even. When I got home I had a 65¢ donation. To where? No one asked or suggested a donation as I checked out. I know it's only 65¢ but multiply that times every customer and it adds up pretty quickly to go to who knows what. Be honest 5 Below!

I needed a green screen for my wife to do Zoom calls. Five Below had one that attached to the chair back at great low price. There were lots of inexpensive items there that I'll be sure to keep in mind before going back to Amazon. Plus I was able to go into the store and get it instead of waiting on shipping.

Seems to have interesting items for an affordable price. A quick place to pop in for kid's gifts without breaking the bank. They have a lot of candy here. Staff is always friendly.

Great store. If youre in search of the new "drops" of Squishmallows though, you'll have to ask for them! This store shows none in stock, BUT they keep them behind the registers! Wish they wouldn't send mass emails since not all stores will have the new drops available, as ours only had about 6 styles. But, of course, we purchased more than just the squishmallows we came in for haha.

My wife and I come here every so often and we've loved every trip. They've always got a huge selection of stuff to check out and majority of the stuff is actually pretty decent as far as quality is concerned. They also sell squishmallows from time to time so that's a huge plus.

I love this store. Especially around the holidays!! Have a little of everything and so many great stocking stuffers. I went in about an hour from close ans had a pretty good experience other then the cashier was trying to do something and seemed irritated that I needed to check out. She also gave me the wrong change, almost 1$ less then I was supposed to get back but I was tired amd it was only like a 1$ so I wasn't about to go back in. But I'd advise putting someone at the register that can count a bit better lol

5Below isn't a bad store. They often have some decent stuff. It's all overstock stuff you know they got for pennies. So, you almost can't help but feel a little ripped off when you pay up to $5 for something. But that's retail at its finest. So, if you can realize this and get past it, you can find some neat different things here and there.

This store is so Awesome you can find a lot of Great stuff here we love this place I highly recommend it to you try it out if you have never been there you need to go you won't be disappointed.
