listen, this store is not for the quick shopper that wants to grab a thing and go. there are great deals, but it's not organized like a typical grocery store. you have to hunt. use your own judgement for you and your family. inspect items. pray. say your grace. pray again. lol. there are a few plant base options. decent selection of Asian cuisine cooking sauces and spices. it's worth a trip if only to mosey around. i recommend for the avid bargain shopper.

We stopped in on a whim while visiting from out of town and i can’t say enough good things about this store. Wonderful store! Great prices, great selection and super friendly employees. I wish I had one in my area we would shop there all the time. If you are coming from the lower level of the mall it looks closed, but it’s not they are just upstairs! Have fun hunting!

Great deals on most things, like food items, both refrigerated and boxed items. Great place to find spices. So much variety. Personal products are a little expensive for a Bargin store.

They have a large pantry food selection as well as a large refrigerated/frozen area. Their stock is overruns, shel pulls, commercial qty., etc. so their selection changes often. Their prices are mostly less than typical retail but some are close so be sure to know what you typically pay at regular retail. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Some items were priced at a good deal....some were at the same price as the grocery stores....over all, it was clean and I would recommend shopping there!

Great customer service! Amazing deals to find. Realize not everything is a good deal. Know your prices.Take a cooler for the freezer and fridge foods.If your into gluten free, keto, organic and natural food there is a large section. They have bulk foods as well. Lookout for specials throughout the store.Definitely worth going to!

Today was my 1st time there! I live in Midland NC...& I will definitely be going back! The mall seemed busy with alot mall walkers (elderly people)! So sweet seeing the elderly getting out and moving around! Hope they have other locations in the near future!PS....after reading some of the negative comments about expired food items! I purchased many items today and nothing was out of date! Just be cautious if you are really that conscientious about food EXPIRATION dates! Happy shopping! 😃

Buyer beware was told one price by employee then another employee wanted to charge me double..of course there's no price marked on the boys jeans I was going to purchase...hate trying to shop and prices are not marked on alot of stuff ..you never know what your going to be charged and alot of prices are higher than Walmart ,some food expired..won't be going back

Loved going here and it was my very 1st time. I didn't see anything wrong with the store and if I had more than what I went in with I would've brought more than I did.But the next time I will make sure that I have extra cash on me to buy plenty of what I needed.

Sorry…but this place doesn’t live up to the hype. The employees are very friendly and helpful…but not worth the drive out there. The Eastridge mall is a run-down shell of a shopping center, you don’t even feel safe in the place, afraid to even walk out to your car after dark. Took me forever to even find the entrance—every single interior entrance to the store is closed up, have to go around the outside of the building to find the one door actually open. Inside, there is a random selection of household goods, clothes, and food (half of which is outdated), but the prices are basically the same as I can get from the regular stores on sale. Was definitely a one-and-done for me.

former sears/teddys. since they left bargain max took over the former sears space. looks a lot better but I still don't know how they are paying for the space and yet they can't have one back here in Charlotte

I love this store. It's a hidden treasure here in Charlotte NC. Many name brands, scratch & dent items, still within expiration date . Excellent deals on meats, cereals, household items for laundry to name a few. Looking for a bargain, this is the Store. Friendly Staff. Thank you 👏😊🙌💓

I shopped at this place before they got the black lady. She is one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Lisa is some timing. Things are too out of date. Watch dates. Even things in date are stale. Watch the meats. They could be up to 3yrs old. Just be careful. Buyers be wary!!!😱

Many good deals just be careful and watch for expiration dates. They tend to frozen stuff out and may have a different taste. I've always purchase their chicken never had a problem until in February when it didn't tasted right.'--Jan 2022 the store relocates to Gastonia with teddys outlet. They are so extremely cheap in finding a building so they are sharing which seems kind of odd__April 2022 after visiting the store looks much better but far away they promise to have a future store in Charlotte but say renter/lease is high. It seems weird being in the mall and share with Teddys. It was confusing to some customers one lady checkout bargain max items at Teddys the cashier told her she needs to go bargain max.

Well the things I was interested in looked too good to be true with the prices, it wasn't until I was about to check out that I noticed a snack with 11/16 on it at the register. Well I decided to check all my food in my cart and well EVERYTHING was expired! It's not safe nor healthy to sell expired food items! What's wrong with you people!

I recently purchased what was described to me as chicken parts that was wholesome and no more than 7 months old. When I received the product it was as old as 7 years and could not be used at all. I had to throw it away. When I called and emailed Doug Hipps I got no response at all to this date. I am now in the process of reporting Bargain Max to the USDA. Doug Hipps is anything but a christian for the way he has treated us in this matter

There are no lights in this place. It’s so dimly lit I struggled to read labels. It’s also dirty, disorganized, and generally gross, so maybe that’s by design. Prices are comparable to Aldi which has clean shelves and real freezers. I left without buying anything.

...have been shopping @ bargain max since 2008!!...love the bargains...still waiting for more salsa😀....meat specials are exceptional (pkg of frozen cube steaks @ $5...smithfield ribs/2 THICK vacuum-sealed slabs @ $10)....this is THE store fir exceptional deals (had duke mayo @ $2 each)...
