Let me start by saying I am not one to leave negative reviews especially for a Local business in my town. I prefer to stay positive, but today left a sour taste in my mouth. I went to Franklin Grooming last year for the first time in September. I wanted to support her business especially after she supported the business I work for. I brought my dog in and was happy with the results. Everything seemed great. A couple months later I called to book an appointment but was told she was booked out pretty far in advance, fair enough. Long story short I ended up not getting him in for some time and that showed on his records. I called the day before to confirm my appointment and was met with no questions or concerns of that. The only day she was able to get him in required me to leave work and get him over there. Once again not a problem. I got there on time with a dog that was a little amped up after a 20 minute car ride. I will admit the dog was pretty matted as his hair does that once it reaches a certain height but I have always kept him cleaned washed and vet appointments promptly met. She immediately met me with he's really matted its going to cost extra. Once again fair enough, I replied with whatever it cost I understand, I just want him trimmed up. They then reviewed his "flash card" and it had notes of him being tough to handle. She told her assistant who has worked with him in the past and she acknowledged it and kept on with her day like it was not a huge deal. I was then met with no we will not groom him. I then grabbed my pup and headed out. I am not upset with the fact they didn't groom my dog even though I believe a seasoned groomer learns to work with the tough and easy dogs but then again I dont work in the grooming industry. But I am upset that I wasted my time and feel it could have been avoided with a simple phone call before hand. I waited a long time being loyal and trying to get him in only to be met with a waste of time.

Miss Maggie always gives my dog Bella the best cuts and she is very creative with her special little adornments (see photos). Her prices are reasonable and she responds quickly to appointment requests. I highly recommend!

Maggie and her team are amazing! We were visiting the area and had taken our Golden Retriever in after weeks of hiking. I can not say enough how AMAZING they did. He has never looked better and we can’t stop talking about how wonderful our experience was. Expertly trimmed paws, cleaned ears, bath, brush and “tune up.” (Cash only FYI)

I had been taking my dogs to Maggie for years when a friend opened up a grooming business so I checked them out. I still liked the job Maggie did, so when I called to schedule back with Maggie, she was so incredibly rude! After she said she had openings coming up in September she said she didn’t have anything available to me and then hung up! I was in no way rude, just explained that I tried out a new groomer and wanted to come back and I am just totally appalled. After reading other reviews I suppose it’s a blessing. Steer clear of this totally unprofessional groomer! Unacceptable!

I called to make an appointment for my dog and she was able to get him in, she didn't ask how long it had been since he had been there or anything else for that matter. When my son showed up with our dog for his appointment still nothing was said and shortly after I recieved a phone call that we had to come pick him up because they wouldn't groom him because he hadn't been there in 3 years and they didn't have his updated rabies information. I take my dog to another groomer who we love but she was busy so we thought we would have him groomed in between. Second she NEVER asked for his rabies records.... will never go back and she was very unprofessional and rude!

I wish I could give this establishment zero stars because that is what they deserve. Not only is the groomer unprofessional, but she allows her son to be rude to her customers as well. When you stand up to them for their behavior, they try to steal your pet by telling you that you can't have your dog! Needless to say...that didn't go over well. On top of this unacceptable behavior, our dog had razor burns on her when she got home. I would highly recommend NOT using this grooming shop! It is not just my review that says how rude they are...so think twice before bringing your beloved pet here!

After numerous visits to Maggie's, I have concluded she is unstable. She MAY be nice. Or she may turn into a raging, rude person. I do have a few special things I like done to my 2 dogs; she starts to listen, consults her cards on your dogs, and never seems to quite get what you are telling her, and will say she is a "MASTER GROOMER". If you ask for what you wanted, that she clearly did not understand, you are an unsatisfied customer, too hard to please, and the verbal abuse begins. Today when I again asked for my Cocker Spaniel's ears to be cut, in length, one finger's width from the longest part of the ear flap, straight across, not bell shaped as they were last grooming 2 months ago, she went berserk, said I'd ruined her day and she would never do my dogs again. I was too much trouble, never happy. Then she threw us out. I was flabbergasted and highly disturbed. To be fair, she had done a good job otherwise on the Cocker before; the dog was not stressed out having been there all afternoon. Maggie had claimed she was not a problem. Dog two, a Maltipoo rescue from a breeder, deceased, was surprisingly not a problem either. I wanted her ears slanted longer in front and at a straight angle to a shorter back. It was hard to get Maggie to understand that, plus I do not want toes or toe nails to show. Neat feet, but not stand up puffy or snowshoes. Those had been my comments I tried over time to get across. If you are happy with how your dog looks and have nothing special needed, stay with Maggie. If you disagree in any way with her, find another groomer, lest you get the extreme rage I faced today.Incidentally, I do not live in Franklin, so try to book appointments on the day of the week I have another appointment there. This was a "problem", too. She cancelled our last appointment at the last minute and texted offering me another time that was impossible for me. I texted back and offered two choices to see if either would fit her schedule. Her answer? "OK, it's done." Well, which one? Communication difficult.

I have been going here for the past 10+ years and have NEVER been disappointed with the quality and care of my fur babies. I have recommended numerous people to them for their services and they have never been disappointed either. In fact one friend had their dog mistreated at a Petsmart and she had trouble getting him to go into a shop but here he is pulling to go in! She is so happy and he never has a bad time there!

My sign should have been how dirty the waiting area is. Hasn't been dusted in years. My dog got tape worms from being there. Never have had in issue with them before this groom. My other dog does not have them so the problem is clearly not at my home. The only other place she has gone in 2 weeks was to this groomer. Never ever going back. The vet visit was 49.00 plus meds. She needs to refund me my cost. Bad business.

I can’t reply to your reply. But I would love to see the video of my 1.5 year old poodle tearing up people. Sounds like you should’ve called animal control the day 😂, didn’t even act like it was a big deal until you needed to try and justify payment which I was perfectly fine with. Why didn’t you offer video the first time she was there? And why wouldn’t you tell me then not to bring her back?

I have gone to this groomer for 5 1/2 years.can't say enough about how I love taking my little dog there. He gets so excited when we pull up. Maggie is great with Jake. Always pleased with work, she's the best !!!

Very disappointed first she act like she was not going to do my puppy. And made me try to feel guilty for me not bringing it when younger. Have read reviews now, it sounds like you don't want new customers, that's ok.I like the furry look, wanted trimmed except around face could shave. Told her I didn't like shave look, but no she did shaved all the hair. she looks like a rat now. And she has scratch and scratch all evening, smells like a cheap perfume

I’ve taken my Yorkie here twice before yesterday and was quite satisfied. But this time I’m horrified by the condition of her belly. It is red all over and the area is raised with a couple of weeping areas. Obviously she was shaved too closely or with a dull blade. She hurts and is traumatized, hiding her head under a pillow and rejecting food.

I was a happy client until I wasn’t I am not going to rant a rave on this review but I had my dog groomed on Sept 30 th and Melissa did a great job when I came to pick her up Maggie checked me out it was 90.00 but because I had a debit card she charged me 5 percent bringing it to $99.75 if when I made the appt I was told to bring cash I would have I then tipped Melissa $10.00 for a job well done I inquired how did she behave and was told fine so no issues I told Maggie I would book her next appt the following week which when I called she said how much does she weigh I said I didn’t know but would take her to the vets office and weigh her she said we are not doing any dog over 50 pounds well I was just there a week ago and she hasn’t gained any weight in week so needless to say worthless and unprofessional for a business to operate in that manner and to be honest Maggie has been rude on the phone and in her shop as well so BEWARE

Went to the shop about a couple of times in the past, I would never walk in. Everytime we left our dogs they returned afraid and not the same happy dogs. After the second time we changed shops, maybe it's changed like I said it's been a while, just didn't have time to make my review.
