This place does a very good job at finding homes for dogs. Always sad to see when dogs are just dumped but these people do an outstanding job. But they do need volunteers for walking and donations and why don't you Foster a dog if you can

Please adopt! No need to buy or breed animals. This place is phenomenal and is exclusively fueled by donations and hard working volunteers.

Well hi everyoneThis animal shelter is very nice and the people who work here really care about the animals. Todd is very nice and friendly and very helpful. everyone else is always friendly and nice. I got and Adopted my dog Bear from here so my other dog Nala wouldn’t be by her self. Also this is a No-Kill Shelter as far as I know.Hi just a Update i went to the animal shelter again on 07/06/21 because i had a stray dog that kept coming to my house and wouldn’t leave after i fed her and i couldn’t keep her so i took her to the shelter and the people and staff there are always very nice and helpful and they took her in and also helped me out with some food for my Dogs.So i just wanted to say thank you for all of your help.

No kill shelter in Macon County that does amazing things for the critters. We are beyond blessed to have them as advocates for those that have no voice.

Great place to find your furever friend. The cat room and kitten room give you a space to sit and interact with the cats so you can find the one that best fits your own personality.

They offered very helpful and sympathetic assistance when we visited them after our dog got lost.Update!!!We found our "new" dog there in February 2018."Abby", an "American Corgi", is a rescue from a "hoarding/neglect" situation. She required eye and ear surgery, so they waved most of the standard adoption fee.Bless these people who perform this most valuable of service to our neglected and abandoned creatures.

We got our puppy there and she is awesome. We had to take her back to get spayed. Everything worked out just fine. Very nice people there who obviously love animals. Reasonable prices.

Please be aware that this company does not care about their dogs. Multiple parvo cases all of the time. We adopted a dog years ago who had parvo and thankfully recovered. My mother and I recently FOSTERED a puppy, they both had parvo and there was NO CONCERN at all for either of them. They will not pick up on calls and showed no care for either puppy when messaging. These two amazing puppies did not survive, we contacted this company multiple times expressing our concern with the need to be seen. There should be mandatory testing and isolation. The company will also delete Facebook comments they do not like. The public needs to know.

I got my KING EDWARD THE LOVED there. He's a rescue kitten that is a blessing to take BUBBLE BATHS with and he's been a naughty one at times, but I love him so much!! He watches over his mama and nobody messes with me. He's protective of his home and he's being taught Sunday goods, (wet food) only on Sundays. He loves to sleep with me and cuddles so good. I have spoiled him rotten, even getting him a cat condo put by the wall mirror so he can do his 'I'M SO BEAUTIFUL ' thing that is so sweet and adorable. Thank You for providing me with this special loving royal feline KING EDWARD THE LOVED!! I got him in June, he's just as healthy as can be.

This rescue center is far above and beyond what most rescue centers are like! The staff is friendly, professional & helpful. The office as well as all facilities are very clean! They even have volunteer dog walkers to help walk the dogs during the week. We adopted 2 furever family members from here....A.T.(Plott hound) & TigerLily (SharPei mix). The process was easy; the staff caring greatly for the animals under their care! I can understand why they would be hesitant to adopt dogs out to owner’s who have lost their previous/newly adopted pets! There can be accidents. Yes. But as a responsible pet owner, all of our dogs are microchipped & collared with names & phone numbers. However, in 50 years of having animals, we have never lost one under our care or had one killed by a vehicle. Ours died at the ripe old ages of 14 or so. So I would suggest to pet owner’s complaining in their reviews, to take more precautionary measures with their pets. And therefore, try to sympathize with the staff, as they have the very difficult job of vetting pet owners & making sure the furever home will be just that... FOREVER!

My daughter went in and picked a dog out. They promised to hold the dog until the next Saturday, which was today. She called this week and verified that they knew she was coming to get the dog today. They said yes, that was fine and the dog would be held for her. We go to get the dog today and they bring another dog out. They asked, is this what you remember the dog looking like? We said no and showed them the picture we had taken. Turns out they gave it to someone else. How difficult is it to place a sticker or piece of paper on the crate that states "HOLD?" She was heartbroken. No one seemed to know much about it and when we wanted to ask about the other smaller dogs, no one seemed to want to help us. We walked out without anyone trying to help or console her. Extremely unprofessional way to handle business. Won't be back.

Kill shelter is best these people are rude and unkind. My dog that I was fostering and couldn't adopt until after shut down was killed after running off on me!They told me I couldn't adopt or foster bc I didn't pay for Zeus yet. Not sorry for your loss we are mourning too. It was that's sad but not letting you adopt here again. There not friendly or helpful and don't know how to run a busniss. I suggest the kill shelter so those dogs and cats have a better home. Don't go here!

Love this place even more because it is a no kill shelter. They treat animals like part of the family. Each animal is adopted into loving homes and if for any reason the pets can't be kept they must be brought back to be readopted

My friend was hired to work there and on her first day, her birthday might I add, she was told it was an accident because she has a disability and she was told she wasn’t even allowed to go outside without permission. Completely discriminatory.
