This is an awesome local bookstore located in downtown Franklin. I was in town and was looking for something to do, and decided to go inside and check it out. They have selections of used and new books alike, and the used books are very reasonable in price. I loved the selection of the goods that were available. I got a used book. The person that checked me out was very helpful. I saw other reviews talking about a dog, but he was not there when I visited. Maybe some other time. I highly recommend coming here!

Perfect spot to buy a new or used book. Also has a great selection of used and new puzzles-- and a kids area my grandkids didn't want to leave! I could spend the whole day here.

Perfectly Delightful! I walked into this bookstore on a rainy afternoon during our vacation to Franklin, North Carolina. What a charming spot. Full of new and used books to peruse, the wooden floors and cozy environment made me wish I had hours to spend. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcomed me. Definitely the kind of hometown bookstore I love to purchase my books from.

Wonderful local bookstore with good staff picks and attention to detail with book displays. I can always find good books to when I visit, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t think I’ve ever left empty-handed. So glad to have them on Main Street!

Such a cute and great book shop! Everyone working was so lovely and welcoming. The kids area is what every book store should have. They even had a little scavenger hunt where the kids get a little prize afterwards. We could have spent all day here. Can’t wait to visit again!

My family and I visited A Novel Escape while we were vacationing in the area, and I highly recommend it! Their selection is great, and both of my kids really enjoyed the coloring station and the puzzle station. We bought much more than we planned, and I have no regrets. :-) I found children's books for homeschooling that I had never seen before, and I'm very excited to dig into them with the kids. Thanks so much for a great experience!

Recently changed owners. Have sold/bought used audio books for 15 years there. Last October I took in 5 or 6 books bought there for credit against other. TheySaid the person that did that was not there,but would appraise them and record them on my account. I went in early May and was told I had no credit. I asked for my books back and they told me my books were not Sellable and were discarded. Some were new(1 play) and the others were bought there. Something rotten inFranklin.

Even the "kid" behind the counter was amazing... On my 2nd visit, I walked in looking for an obscure book and the girl literally walked from behind the counter to the book on the shelf.I'm a fan.Great place.

Absolutely adorable. I was visiting from out of town and she immediately picked up on it. She was so nice and helpful. She got up from her seat to help me find a book that could be in three different places. Definitely recommend. There were clear labels and sections along with many options.

The new location is wonderful. A most pleasant place to browse and a huge, well organized selection of books to chose from. If Liz doesn't have the book you're looking for, she will get it, and at a great price.

This experience was much better than the last one, I apparently caught them on a crazy day the last time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, I felt welcome the entire time I was there. If you're looking for a book I highly recommend checking here first. I am a firm believer in shoping local before you shop the internet.

Great shop. Bot $125 worth of used books, great value.They are moving to 46 e. Main St, Franklin, NC in a few weeks, taking over a bookstore location where the owner is retiring. Supposed to reopen mid June.

My wife really likes books. She read all the time. We were visiting Franklin NC and saw the store off the side of the highway. My wife was looking for a certain book so we stopped. The owner, I assume is Millie, was extremely helpful. My wife found most of the books she was looking for. Great little store.

Great book store! Millie is always helpful, if I can't find what I'm looking for she will try to find, order and hold my books. Very good prices and I like that some series are bundled. Always a friendly face and always helpful. Repeat customer.

I really love how clean this store is and the big doggie that was there when I went. I also love their selection of books. Alot of books were pretty reasonable I guess for the most part but some were pretty pricey :(

Shopped at Millie's in March. Millie happened to be in the store. She made a book suggest after hearing certain books I liked, i.e. Robert B. Parker and similar. Robert Grais novels series including Elvis Cole/Joe Pike, Carol Starkey. I am so sincerely PLEASED with these books, I have all of Robert Grais' books! Thank you Millie!
