I am absolutely livid and would give this place less than zero stars if I could. I used to shop here for four years, but every year they've been going downhill - and today was the final straw! I experienced something utterly unacceptable and unprecedented in my life. I saw a racing jacket in the cashier's hands, asked to take a closer look, we discussed the price, and I put the jacket in my baggy and continued digging. That was a rare and expensive jacket, and I was so thrilled to find it! But when I was ready to pay for my items, the store manager showed up and asked me to return the jacket 'because she had promised it to another family'! Can you believe that?! They forced me to give back the jacket, saying 'sorry'! Sorry? Really?! That's all you've got?! Imagine putting food in your cart and the cashier taking it out because 'it was promised to another buyer'! How would you feel about that?! I felt utterly disrespected and humiliated; they just ruined my day. That was completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and unacceptable behavior. I didn't deserve such treatment, and neither does anyone else. How could this even happen?! I'd like to ask the manager, do you think it's normal to treat people this way?! Your store is non-profit and exists solely because of people's donations. Your goal is to serve people, but it seems you don't give a damn about respecting buyers who aren't your friends. I don't need your pathetic 'sorry'; you should apologize to that family because the jacket was already in my cart, not theirs. But it seems like you decide who can buy the items people donate to you and who can't! This is not only disrespectful but also illegal. As I said, I will never come back to your store, and I don't recommend shopping here to anyone!

I went this week for the 1st time while I was working with a client. It is a huge place with lots with lights of items to look through. Lots of shoes, bags, clothes, household items, baby clothes & hats, blankets, sheets, comforters, furniture.... You named it. All the workers are super nice! Recommend this place to anyone in Forest City / Rutherford Co.

I have shopped here for a few years now and I go because they have a restroom. So I figured if I ask nicely they might let me use it. It seems I always have to go after I have left the house. Even though I try to go before I leave. They told me no so I said I am sorry I can't come back and buy the basket full of clothes I had picked for myself. I did not make it home. In the west it is against the law to be open to the public without a restroom. It should be that way everywhere. What about people with IBS, or the elderly?

One of the cashiers just makes it feel awful to be here. Just entirely rude. Not once or twice but literally every time we've been here in the past 3 years. Not coming back again. I would NOT recommend this particular Salvation Army as anyone's destination. If the customers aren't treated well, how are they treating the people coming in for help?

This Salvation Army location is very well run. The store is always near and organized.All of the clothing is sorted by style and color. The prices of the items are very easy to find.The dressing rooms are very large and clean, and feel very private.The employees are always very friendly and helpful.They usually have out of season items at 50% off.

I liked this place.. it had alot of stuff cause I don't ever look at the clothes and it was CHEAPER than any Salvation Army I've been too! And that's alot trust me.. I would definitely go back..staff were also friendly

This place is awesome. They have really great prices on everything in the store. It's so nice to be able to shop somewhere that gives back to the community. I give this store a A+ in cleanness, lots of good items, and exceptional friendly workers.

They have a lot of good stuff there. I found three pair of denim shorts that are my size. It's hard to find shorts in winter. This store is a little pricey for a thrift shop bit still a lot better than department stores.

Horrible customer service. Was in the store for less than a minute and and one of the male employees (who I thought was just a shopper) rudely told me I wasn't allowed in the Toys section and to leave NOW. No signs, no rope off or anything. What a way to run a business.

Worked there for 2 days and got lied to and said I would have to come to the store to get my check but come to find out they sent it in the mail after they already it would be there today! Some store this one is not very kind

Salvation Army has funds to help ppl. with Bill's, rent, power,gas, and other things. With the government shutdown and not knowing when it's over, plz. go and try to get help. Everyday s.thing changes and they have many things they can help you with while funds last. Dont wait till you're in a crisis..

The employees are very rude the sign says open til 5pm and its 3.36pm and they locked the door in my face. I drove from Morganton but wont ever again.

Nice place to find household products good proces....previously shopped at flea town usa until I seen rats on a pallet of food ,and opened pharmaceuticals .prices are cheap,but not worth the risk...

Clerks not wearing masks no social distancing when paying, the clerk had her mask on but when it was time to pay she took it off only a few feet away, if she has covid I'm done for, mask only protect the other person not yourself.
