They have a little bit of everything here. It is nice to have the convenience to pick up whatever you may have forgotten. I like the old style shelves and check out lane that appear to have come from an old grocery store. It is a bit pricy, but if you need it, they probably have it.

The folks at the Fontana General Store are great. I've been here just two weeks and have been in here pretty much every day that they have been open.They have a good selection of foods and sundry selection of other goods that might come in handing while hiking and camping. You can definitely do a legitimate resupply here.The prices are pretty average for a store in a location such as this one. No real ripoffs and no real bargains.They do have one of the only microwaves in the who village that people staying at the lodge can get access to.The overall lack of microwaves definitely was an issue for me and I'm sure I'll talk about it when I write my review for the overall village and lodge.In the same building with the General Store is the laundromat and post office. There is also an ice cream place but it is closed for the foreseeable future.Stop by and tell them Moo said hi :)

Great little shop to get what you need while you're on your vacation. The staff is freindly and the products are reasonably priced. They also have a gift shop inside.

Currently only open Thursday through Saturday . The time I believe is 9:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. some things they carry besides drinks and water are milk, pancake mix, butter, local honey and jams, can openers and several other things I can't remember. On the other side of the store they have a souvenir, gift shop store. They sell shirts, long sleeve shirts, Christmas ornaments, candles made locally, and several different books. If you're staying at the Fontana resort you definitely need to stop by and check it out.

I've been coming here 2-3 times a year for the past ten-ish years, the entire resort is just so cute! And everyone is just incredibly nice and helpful! Definitely recommend a stay here!

Place is a ghost town since Covid. The newspaper in the coin machine is still dated for over a year ago. None of the homes are occupied. Was told that there was a job fair recently and no one showed up or wanted to work. What a shame, always wanted to see what this beautiful town was all about, but we were a little to late. :-(

I am rating this place a 5 because it is a godsend when you are staying in the area! They have a little bit of everything when it comes to the necessities (including beer, ice, toiletries, etc.). Yes, things are pricier than going to a chain store, but I honestly would have paid ten times as much as usual to get the ibuprofen I desperately needed.The staff was super friendly!They have a side section that has various items to commemorate your visit at reasonable prices.THANK YOU FOR HAVING THIS BUSINESS HERE!!

We were just up in Fontana and enjoyed the convenience of the General Store, they had a little bit of everything. We were happy to have it close by. Service was great as well! I think they tend to stock less items as it gets cooler, but we were able to find what we needed!

Great store with a lot of stock and friendly service. They have camping gear, tourist items and a well stocked grocery store. Adjacent to the store is a nice little ice cream shop that serves Mayfield ice cream.

Not much in stock in the way of food. 40ish miles to a grocery store not in a dry county. Prices a little high. The clerk was polite and recommended the grocery we went to.

This is a great place to grab all of the things you missed while on vacation. If you are camping or stating at the resort, they have everything. They even have a great section for souvenirs.

For basic necessities throughout the vacation season, the general store has you covered. From a half gallon of milk and some eggs for breakfast to a bag of cat food to replace what you left at home.
