I got my boy, Oscar from Kurakats in September of 2023.I could not be happier with my sweet baby. He is truly the love of my life!Oscar is so well tempered. Doesn’t mind his nails being cut, getting baths, and loves going on car rides. Even going to the vet was a breeze. The doctor was in awe of how calm and brave he was! That being said, his temperament I am certain is from the wonderful upbringing he had.Robb and his wife were an absolute dream to work with. They are so kind and clearly care much about their animals.I can’t wait for the day I can get Oscar a new brother or sister from Kurakats.100% recommend. 💕🐈⬛

I have two boys from Kurakats. My niece has one. These cats are absolutely amazing. They are friendly and outgoing. They love people. Our visitors are always amazed at how curious and friendly they are. They even win over non-cat people. I can’t say enough about what a great job they do a Kurakats and their breeding program. If I get another kitty, it will definitely come from them.

I've had my boy, Babylon, from Kurakats, for six years now! Rob and family sold me my twin flame, he's only gotten better with age!I highly suggest them as a breeder. I'm thinking about getting another soon. Please be aware of health issues that can arise from any purebred animal in general. Not this breeders fault imo.The temperament Babylon came with as a result of the rearing Kurakats did was amazing. He's so sweet, he's so loving. 10/10 recommend.

I want to cry almost every time I think about how grateful I am for this cat.First I'll get to the business then I'll detail the feline.I was so afraid trusting this breeder because I had been searching for MONTHS and all I saw left right and center were people getting scammed online or having to Import which I was SO close to doing until I found Kurakats (THANK GOD- way too much risk in importing)I was still hesitant about paying strangers States away without ever actually seeing anything tangible. My communication was shaky but through my Skepticism Robb practiced patience. Even after being little short for a moment he was still completely accommodating as he gave me a FaceTime call to ease my anxiety and worked with me arranging payment. Finally I drove 5 hours to pick up Tia just before Christmas!Best decision of my life. When I pulled up Rob was very inviting , ran through the adoption packet with me , answered any question and even sent me home with a few scoops or food and a makeshift litter box for the journey. I even got a chance to look into the cattery and it was beautiful, very clean. Lots of stimulation and The kats &kittens looked happy and active! Now for Tia:She was obviously well socialized. She was very attached to him during the handoff. He clipped her nails in front of me. No fight. Very quiet and when she wasn't crawling all over him she was exploring our vehicle. She never showed any hesitation, anxiety/ aggression- NOTHING. As a matter of fact the only battle I had to fight with her was she refused to be in a carrier. We drove the whole way with her in my sweater and on my lap. Insperable ever since.Tia is the best cat I have ever met in my life and I've had MANY cats. I am so grateful to have met her. I swear my life by hers, she's my best friend. She's been healthy from Day 1 - not even so much as a baby cold. No skin lesions, temperatures, runny nose/eyes. Nothing that the advised looking out for. So smart SOOOOO LOVING. I can go on forever but to sum it up.*She does not have the curly coat I was expecting that drew me to the breed except on her tail. She's actually confused for a sphynx often because her coat is so short. If that is specifically what you're looking for pay attention to that in the photos when you choose. They don't "grow into it" lol*I completely trust Kurakats to deliver kittens of this Exceptional quality every time. Healthy, well socialized beautiful genetics. I am raving. Highly recommended. 1,000 outta of 10 stars.THANK YOU KURAKATS!!!!!The only thing I would have potentials note is that I believe some number of their cats or kittens are imported from overseas breeders (ex: Russia) and with that comes the possibility of illness (that they completely inform and prepare you for!). Useful information for additional research.

Rob sold us a kitten years back and we tried to work through the issues with our cat and ended up with a solid cat, however this cat would have been a nightmare if it wasn’t for me and my family’s years of experience working with animals. The day we went to see our cat Rob informed us that he gave them baths regularly and we didn’t think a lot of it but later on we came to find out that they were infested with ring worm and within a day we started to see it come back and it was excruciating for my cat to pet it as her skin was so irritated. A side affect of this is that my cat isn’t loving. She isn’t cuddly and almost never purrs, but since we have had experience with them she has never sprayed, clawed, or bitten people. She has however never introduced to dogs as she hates big dogs and is hesitant of little dogs. Also we were on the list for one before the one we currently own. And she had major growth issues as she was extremely tiny, I’ve heard from other reviews that there have been more than one different health issues. Also she was not socialized as she should have been, doesn’t like kids, doesn’t like to be loved. Another thing that was extremely wrong was that he pulls there tails until they scream to help them “Find There Voice” which is extremely wrong and makes the cat way more anxious around people. So please buyer beware. If you do want one of these wonderful cats please first consider a breeder in Florida you can tell how well they raise there cats and it looks like they have a whole different feel as kittens. For the people who don’t believe that it’s true the friend that told us she bought one from these guys told us her cat was so scared that she hid under a bed for a month. So please again be careful what you buy.

In reference to the Jessie Weiss review 8 months ago….Sadly Flint had to be put down last night. He went into congestive heart failure.Having to put Haku down after just a few months and Flint after 2 1/2 years was nothing I would wish upon anyone. It’s heartbreaking. He was socialized and so sweet. But not healthy. I do not recommend this breeder… they have offered another replacement but that can’t fix a broken heart for a person with severe anxiety disorder. Flint was to be a therapy cat. He took his job seriously but unfortunately, his health stopped him from doing what he did best. Take care of my Jessie…..Tammie Weiss.

We purchased a kitten and a retiring Queen from Kurakats in June of 2019. We love them both so much! The kitten warmed up right away and our Queen came out of her shell shortly afterwards. They are so much fun! Man oh man did they help me through the the first 2.5 months of this pandemic. Rob and Lisa were the best and easy to communicate with. I am so grateful we found them!

I really want to like Robb and how much time and attention he gives these kittens, but my personal experience with his cats had been very heartbreaking. My first Kitten I received had an eye and respiratory infection. Robb was hesitant to let us take him home, but we were excited and knew we would be diligent with the medication the vet provided to make him better. He died a few months later of FIP. This disease is incurable and is noted on the paperwork when getting one of Robb’s cats. It says that the cat will be replaced, but it is hard to replace an animal that you grew connected to and loved so much.Still feeling very heartbroken,I decided to bring home two new kittens so that they can keep each other company. They have been great for the past year, but one of them recently had health issues popping up. First was inflammatory bowel disease, which he has to be on a prescription diet lifelong. The NEXT thing that came up broke my heart, but I was told that flint has an incurable heart disease. He has been accepted into a study at Ohio university to see if they can prolong the life of cats with this disease. All of the vets we have seen state that this is a genetic condition.I am now in the position of watching another cat slowly pass away. This time it is worse though, because I know I will need to get some kind of companion for his littermate to grieve his death.I am sad and angry to be losing another cat. I wish that Robb genetically tested all of his cats for this heart condition before they left. It is a pricy test, however, breeding and selling cats that pass away causes people a serious deal of emotional pain.I have reached out to almost every other breeder in the United States to find someone who tests their kittens for heart disease and does not adopt them out until at least a few months to ensure health and shots are given.Robb is a really nice guy. I wish I had something better to say about kuracats, but I would not suggest getting a kitten from them. My particular situation, I’m sure is rare, but other breeders are willing to test and make sure this does not happen. The grief that I feel knowing I will lose a cat that has become my best friend is insufferable.

I’ve had my kitten for a month now and she’s amazing!!! Super happy and would definitely recommend Kurakats. My kitten was well taken care of and obviously well handled. She loves people, is super affectionate and is getting along well with my rat terrier and chihuahua.

I have two Devon Rex cats that are 4.5 years old.... Half brothers purchased from Kurakats. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the cattery and the obvious care with which the owners take with the kittens. One of my cats has absolutely no problems. The other cat did contract the feline herpes virus as a young kitten. The kitten was given the appropriate vaccines at the appropriate times, but contracted the virus anyway. Things happen; not all vaccines are 100% effective for various reasons, and I don't know for sure that the kitten was exposed at the cattery. Rather than be upset, I am grateful that this cat is also very healthy and copes with this virus very well. The cats are extremely sweet, sociable, and just pure delights. I am pleased with my Kurakats experience.

After having one Devon my husband and I decided to get another. We chose a different breeder this time due to problems we had with the first breeder( kitten was dirty and sick and the breeder refused to answer our calls) We were extremely impressed with Kurakats. The kitten was perfect and even my vet was very impressed. She came with necessary vaccinations, ears, skin, nails and fur were perfect. She has been handled in such a loving and caring way that she is playful and snuggly. The owners kept in contact with us sharing pictures and giving us information on feeding, grooming and introducing our new kitten to our older adult cat. They even continue to reach out to find out how our little joy is doing and offers advice when asked. I would highly recommend Kurakats to anybody interested in owning this wonderful, loving, playful breed.

We took possession of our Kurakats Devon Rex on May 13th 2019. This is our third Devon, over the last decade, so we have experience with another Devon breeder and the breed. We have, however, developed a love-hate relationship with Robb and Kurakats. On the one hand, our kitten is very well socialized, friendly, craves human interaction, and is playful and kind. Kurakats has done an admiral job creating a family-friendly pet. From a personality and temperament perspective she is exactly what we wanted in a Devon kitten. On the other hand, Kurakats delivered to us a kitten with an active case of Feline Ringworm. Although this is not a life-threatening kitten disease, is a huge PIA to deal with in a household with other animals. Robb at no point indicated our kitten had an active ringworm infection, although his contract and paperwork does discuss the potential for fungal “issues” with kittens. As our contract requires, we had our kitten examined by a vet within 48-hours after delivery. Our vet noticed a dime-size circular bare patch on her rear-end which she suspected to be ringworm. We decided to do the IDEXX RealPCR panel on this bare patch, which came back as positive for Ringworm. It would have been helpful if this had been diagnosed and disclosed prior to delivery, or at least disclosed when Kurakats did deliver. The other issue with Robb is customer service. Dealing with him was completely exasperating. At times he was engaged, friendly, and responsive. Much of the time he simply could not remember what he had told us in a previous conversation or was completely absent from communication. This was basically the interaction we had for the six months we dealt with Kurakats. If you’re looking for a well socialized Devon, Kurakats has done an excellent job. However you should be prepared for potential communication frustrations and be sure you have a thorough panel done on your kitten after delivery. So if we’re rating the temperament of our kitten, 4-stars. If we’re rating the rest of our experience with Kurakats, 1-star.

Terrible family. They over breed and do not take care of their cats. They have two grandchildren they do not speak with due to their son being incapable of growing up.
