I have always purchased birthday cakes and the occasional meal from Publix. However, I had a promotion ceremony on the 1st of November and Publix let me down big time. I was originally contacted and informed that they wouldn't fulfill the chicken portion of my catering order as they had already sold out chicken for the week. So I replaced the chicken with wraps not a big deal. On day of pick up my cake wasn't ready at the original time I planned for pick-up. Not only that my cookies weren't even ready and was told the cookies wouldn't be available until noon. Which was well after my ceremony. The ironic thing is the wraps were ready even though they were added to the order after the fact. So in theory the cookies should be ready as well. I assumed this was an off day for them. I placed another cake order for my son's birthday. I was contacted the day before to confirm the order and pick up time. I made noon the pick up time for the cake. So I was surprised when on the day I am supposed to pick up the cake I was called stating they were running behind and wanted to know the latest time I could pick up the cake. Now this was the first sign that ok this is going to be issues. I received his cake and it looked rushed as the spelling of the word birthday and just squeezed it in. Then at the party when the cake was sliced into it was discovered that the cake wasn't even a marble cake but a standard layered cake. So at this point I will never order from this Publix location again. Too much confusion and for the money I paid them for my promotion ceremony and now my sons birthday party cake this is just unacceptable.

I have to say one of my best experiences in NC. The customer service was some of the best I've ever come across. Deli food fresh and very good in taste. I'm from Virginia Beach and hadn't had a very good experience in the area, but this will be my go to store for my remaining time here . Cashiers are very educated on store products and very friendly.I will be moving back to Virginia in a few months I would love to see them come to the area. Unfortunately we have none there and are missing out. I actually had a manager jump in and fullfil my deli order because the employee was preparing a large order, how often does that happen? Thank you!

Being a native Californian & being raised on the west coast & then moving to the east coast can be challenging when you’re unfamiliar with grocery stores in your new state. The closest store comparison to Publix would be Von’s on the west coast. I absolutely love this grocery store! It’s a bit more expensive than others but they have some really good items you can only get here. Their bakery is amazing. Their Cinnamon Roll bread & Breakfast bread are to die for. I love this location as the staff is really friendly & the store is immaculate. It’s so clean 😯. Hands down this is my favorite store in my city.

There's tons of variety here! Helpful workers all around. The only downside is the prices. They're astronomically expensive. You definitely have to try your best to bargain shop. I would return to buy subs from here, but that's all.

I went here specifically for English beans. For beans on toast, but I'm going to do beans with grilled cheese. They had what I needed and a couple more deals I couldn't pass up. Nice lay out of the store. Very friendly staff. And check out was a breeze! Hats off to the bag boys for the hard work. Bread was separate from everything else!

Purchased/Ordered cupcakes & cake. Went to pick up order and the decorations for the cake & cupcakes were not placed. When I asked about them they said they didn’t know why it wasn’t decorated and just handed me a bag of decorations for all the cupcakes and the cake.Then I got to my car and realized that the cupcakes were not half chocolate, but were all vanilla. Got concerned if the cake was going to be all chocolate or not since the cupcakes were wrong so went back inside. Was told the person who originally made it was gone so they didn’t know if it was right or not. After while the solution was to scrap off some icing to see if the cake was chocolate.As for the cupcakes was told it’d be an hour before they could make new cupcakes. Agreed to get them the next day.No apologies, very much a “not my problem attitude”.Definitely recommend choosing another store’s bakery!Update:Went first thing in the morning to pick up. And was told by the same lady working there lastnight that they weren’t ready yet, they’d be next. So I stand around waiting. I’m handed the cupcakes about 15 minutes later and told “you’re welcome”, after I said nothing to her. Bring them home to top them myself to find out that half of them (the vanillas) are all frozen solid.Worst experience ever. The only nice part of the experience was calling up and speaking to a manager who just took the moment to listen and apologize. I wasn’t asking for anything off, or anything free. Just base line customer service and understanding as I showed them when I attempted to pick up the first time. And to let him know frozen cupcakes was absolutely ridiculous, when the other half were fine.With the current bakery staff in place, wouldn’t recommend ordering anything. Give it a few months for better training or change in staff.

They need to staff their deli better or get people who can be quicker. I ordered a sub online and 30 minutes later after my pickup time, it still wasn't even made! People who order online should get priority before people in line. If you have to make an online order, then do a customer order, do that then. Let the customer waiting know that you have to do an online order real quick. This isn't the first time this happened either. I had to wait in the sub line because no one who acknowledge me anywhere else near the counter.

If you cannot locate what you're looking for in your local grocery store you should be able to find it or something comparable if not better here! For fresh fruits veggies & more check out this alternative go-to before going to other stores. This store has the goods and great customer on hand to assist you. Be sure to stop by the hot bar for a fresh delightful meal or the deli where you get your favorite subs, salads, & wraps, made to perfection with select meats and non-meat options available and for that sweet tooth explore the bakery section. Got a rib meal from the food counter, potato wedges and ribs were good. There is a good selection of wine as well in the store. Also bought one of the deli sandwiches which held pretty good for lunch the following day. Overall a pretty good grocery store.

This is the worst Publix I’ve ever been to. The fact that they made an excuse for chicken not being out and ready was ridiculous. The deli associate said it’s because they had to change shift and the last person did not clean the fryer. The CEO or corporate needs to reevaluate this place because I drop 30 minutes just for them to say they don’t have fried chicken. Mind you I’m pregnant and this is the only Publix near by.

I went to the deli and purchased a sub, I believe the young lady’s name was “Verndetta” or “Vendetta” but she didn’t let the long line affect the quality of her servicing. I had a very specific order she didn’t miss a step. She was patient with me and kept a smile the whole process. Thank you ‘detta we need more people like you.

I recently had an unfortunate experience with the bakery. I was supposed to pick up my cake at 2pm for my party and that was significantly delayed by almost 2 hours. The customer service left much to be desired. Also! The writing on my cake was spelled wrong. Just the overall service fell short of expectations, and I hope improvements are made for future customers. I’m giving a 2 star because the cake was made and everyone enjoyed it.

Bought a small round bday cake, very nicely decorated and very tasty. I was able to choose everything in their online system from the type of icing to the color of decoration, and the cake was made perfectly! For $23 that was a huge win!

I was on the other side of town and don't head to this grocery store often. However, it is my go-to bakery for birthdays and other events. Their signature cakes are to die for! They also have a fantastic selection of ice cream cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, and fresh baked bread.

I stopped in early this morning to get some fresh sandwiches to take to an outdoor picnic lunch. The man at the deli was so nice and put the toppings on the side so the sandwich would be fresh and nice for lunch. The sandwiches were delicious.

One of the best grocery stores you can shop at. Products and quality of service is something entirely different from other chains. Customer service is something that defines this brand. Store is very clean and shopping here is never a chore. May be a little more compared to other competitors however worth the little extra.

Amazing service!, I want to give props to the young lady called serenity in the baking area, she was really sweet and a raise to the max is what I would recommend for Publix to give her! Something about her kindness was different and I hadn't ever experienced it so it was very enjoyable!

The meat selection has really went down! On my last visit I noticed that the meats had dark blood in them and had discoloration. The chicken also had a yellowing of the skin. This was after the manager had made a pass to remove old product. The last few purchases has made my family sick so, I will not purchase anymore until it is restocked with a fresher selection.

The worst place ever to have anything catered. Do not bother ordering from them. There trays are made sloppy and skimpy and they don't include tongs or servings utensils or condiments. Go to Harries Teeter for better professional service.

I stopped in here on a road trip knowing it would be one of my last publix subs before returning to the North. There were two ladies making subs in the deli that were hilarious. They were super kind to my family while they made up our subs, even making faces at my 6mo son. It made me sad to know I was returning to the land of no Publix in Upstate NY. Chicken Tender and Vegan Turkey were delicious.

I’ve never had a bad experience at any Publix, but when I went on 1/25 the guy working the sub station around 8:20 pm was rude. He acted annoyed the entire time he was making my subs, and kept on making faces.. very unprofessional. There was also an employee that kept on talking out loud about how certain things were not in her “job description” and just making overall negative loud comments. Also, if Publix closes at 10 pm, why was this employee acting annoyed by someone asking them to make a sub at 8:20 pm? Even if the sub shop closes earlier, it still wouldn’t be closed at 8:20 pm. This Publix needs to do a better job when hiring their employees. No one that goes to Publix should be dealing with any of that nonsense. On the upside, the folks that were working customer service were great. They were very eager to help me and were super friendly and helpful.Update-I called the store and asked what time the sub station closes and was informed that it closes at 10 pm, so why was the person in the sub station acting so ridiculous when I was ordering subs at 8:20 pm? Management needs to do something about these employees that clearly don’t want to work there as they’re scaring off customers. If they don’t have customer service skills, then they should be let go.
