Nice & clean with a wide variety of food. They also stock a nice amount of toys, with an abundant amount of necessary items needed for your fur babies. Not to mention carrying items for you non fur babies, don't want to leave them out.

I wrote a review 4 year ago praising this place (had to delete the old review to update with the new one) and to this day they still have my praises. I went to Petco 3 months ago to set up a fish tank and I would have to say I’ve been back at least 30 times between buying more supplies, having them check my water, asking questions, and even adding new tanks. Every single time I've come in they do not hesitate to help assist me. I would like to shout out to the employees that have gone above and beyond no matter how many times they have dealt with me. Jewell, Tyese, Jerry, Destiny, and Tavares thank you for caring for your customers and especially the animals. I have never been to a store that has employees who care about their animals and customers like Petco has. If you look at my photos you'll see everything is clean from the aisles stacked so nicely and neatly to the tanks and enclosures cared for. If I could give this place 10 stars I would because they truly deserve it. Great job Petco at having amazing workers and keeping them trained in animal care.

The staff here is very friendly and energetic. They were very helpful with our order pickup and with all of our other needs. Would highly recommend shopping here for any other pet owners!

The number of times I’ve had issues with this company is ungodly and I’ve finally had it. My pet food arrives damaged or completely incorrect REGULARLY. They charge your card and then don’t ship you order because somehow they’re out of the product in the entire country. I called for the final time last night to see why my dog’s /prescription/ food had not arrived yet which I had to fight to even get my order placed because their app and website is unreliable and inadequate. The receptionist couldn’t tell me why I had called in the past meaning they lied to my face when they were writing down my concerns. Then I was told a supervisor would call me (at my request) and it didn’t happen. They instead sent me two emails that made no sense. I was a viral care member for 2 years, I have 4 pets they get a lot of money from me and they don’t care. Not to mention the storefront doesn’t get enough hours to function like an actual store - there’s always dusty shelves with missing product that’s sitting on a pallet on the floor that other dogs pee on. They don’t house their animals with the proper equipment - something that leads to death and disease - something their RACEL admitted to. They don’t equip their employees with the knowledge and tools they need to take care of the animals and keep customers happy. It’s ridiculous and it’s all on corporate. The poor employees who work there don’t make enough money for what they put up with and corporate does not care for you anymore than the $$$. If they get paid they couldn’t care less. Think about who you’re giving your money to. A company with a district manager that believes in kicking dogs for training or a small business.

This is a great store to shop at. Very clean, very brightly lit, great selection. Saw a good number of parakeets, sleepy ferrets, and adoptable cats. And the employees are very nice and helpful.

The monthly half price sale on aquariums and the variety available earned all 3 of these stars. Live plants are expensive and almost always dead inside of the cups/containers they are to be sold in. Fish tanks are always an absolute mess! Dirty water, tanks being shut down to quarantine diseased fish because 1 filter is used to filter between 6 and 9 tanks and if 1 tank has a problem they all have a problem, livestock is overpriced for what they are selling and I don't remember seeing any tanks without at least 1 dead fish left to float around. They have plenty of fish food and as you walk down that aisle looking for the nicer products that they used to sell there is nothing to be found except for empty spots and 50 different chemicals that are not needed for an experienced fish keeper. Limited options for sand or gravel substrate, zero options for planted tank aqua soil, and the only decorative items are plastic and would look out of place in a natural habitat as well as being insanely expensive. Staff has told me on multiple occasions that they are going to special order fish that I inquired about, when I return on the date the shipment was due they never have what they claim to have ordered. Might be great for other pets, I have no idea, but fish they are definitely not doing well at all.

Honestly only leaving the review because of Darryl. I have been taking my dog to Petco to get groomed for 5 months now and Darryl isn’t my usual groomer however today he SHOWED UP and not only did he handle being the only groomer very well but he did it with patience and kindness. These 5 stars aren’t for Petco they’re for Darryl and I hope management realizes the amazing employee he truly is. I wish I could’ve gotten behind that counter and helped him myself. I didn’t see any management going out of there way to help him either(I’m sure they were sitting in their office)

Grooming manager sucks. She only wants to work with dogs that don’t have enough hair. I made an appointment and the manager told me that she is not going to allow anyone work with the dog as soon as I walk in the store. She was not friendly at all and talked to us really horrible. My dog has been going to this place for grooming monthly for years and since that manager took over she is making my life miserable. Edgar is a fine groomer and is so sad for me to have to find someone else because of her. I don’t know if she is racist or what but she looked at me like I was beneath her. Not coming back, at least while that LADY still there.

I usually love this place, but the saltwater policy is stupid. I literally bought a fish like 10 minutes ago, and saw that it was sick with ick or most likely brooklynella in the car. I didn’t even take the fish out of the bag it was in. When I tried to return it, I was told that they couldn’t do a return, even though it was still in the bag and everything. I would understand this if the fish was dead, or I put it in my tank, but it was still in there tank water and everything. Hopefully it lives, or I’m out $26. The people who work there are really nice, and I don’t blame them, but the tanks obviously have something bad in them. I was told none of the other fish are sick, but literally Half of the tanks are closed down, and all the coral are dead. I really don’t believe that. Please be careful when buying fish from here. It’s very hard to tell when they are sick because of the low light and the algae they have on the glass of tanks, unfortunately once it’s out the door, that’s it. Thankfully I know how to treat the illness, but they should have some kind of return policy for living fish, that’s sick because of something they did. I will probably still get cheaper fish from here, but definitely not coral. The coral here is in really bad condition, and you won’t be able to take it back.

We initially went into Petco thinking that we were going to get just one fish and leave, but we were fascinated by all of the different options of fish. Destiny and Jewels helped us for nearly an hour, explaining the differences in fish and how to care for them, as well as offering advice on the best types of fish tanks to purchase. Our finalized decision was based on Jewel’s advice to get the feeder goldfish to create bacteria in the tank for the fish we are planning to get next week. Destiny stayed an hour past her shift, to ensure that we were confident with our choice of fish, as well as the cleaning and maintenance processes. The customer service provided to us today was a 10/10!

I used to take Bentley here, he has since passed. He did try to bite in his old age and got banned over a year ago. Soo, long story short, I have an 8mos old maltese puppy named Rocco.. Darryl called me after an hour and said that he couldn't finish cutting my dog cause he kept trying to bite and sees that he hasn't been there in awhile. I said my dog has never been there. He said I see that *Bentley* hasn't been here in over a year and he can't finish grooming him. I told him that dog is not Bentley, his name is Rocco. He said let me check, then said oh yea, well he's too nippy. I had a few choice words for Darryl. He got my dogs mixed up and didn't want to finish the job as it was the end of the day. Darryl challenged all groomers by saying if he can't groom a dog then no one can. Can someone please prove him wrong and advise where I can take my pup for a good groom. I came in with a serious problem, FLEAS! I've tried everything, but nothing has worked. I spoke with the groomers, the grooming manager was really helpful. She dealt with my frustration with apropo and patience. We scheduled an appointment for the full service (cleaning, haircut, nails, ect...) The price was very reasonable. We also scheduled an appointment with the vet for "the pill". They gave me excellent advice to handle the situation. Overall I was very pleased with the whole experience. I would give them a sixth star if that was an option. Thank you guys!

They had two dogs fight in front of my 5 month cats scaring everyone in the building and they got upset when make cats who usually never mind being picked up got scared when she reached in to grab them and they pulled away and said we can't see them cause they weren't socialized enough?? You literally had animals fighting but won't touch two kittens?? These guys do not deal with cats only dogs from what I see and they don't know how to deal with any other animal so take heed. I don't know what you expected from cats when it's there first time seeing pitfalls fighting in front of them n9t to be scared after. They would of let her pick them up but the second she saw they were scared she just canceled my appointment immediately. Please make their jobs as easy as possible or else they recommend you go to an emergency clinic for anything out of the norm.

This location was neat, clean, bright and with welcoming and knowledgeable staff. I went with my Service Dog in Training (Monica.)Everyone who came into contact with us did EXACTLY as I asked. It was such a positive experience for Monica!! She has many positive traits, but is a bit timid. By staff assisting me, she came away with a confidence building experience.They also directed me to what I needed (Service Dog in Training vest...didn't have one) and helped me find a similar item. I ended up purchasing a Good2Go Pack Leader Dog Backpack fir $29.99. I know that I could have gotten the same-or comparable-for about a third the price via the 'net because I checked before leaving home.KUDOS TO ALL THE STAFF WORKING BETWEEN 1300-1500 ON 17 OCTOBER! Because of their thoughtfulness, professionalism as a team and willingness to LISTEN to the customer, a brick and mortar sale was made.WAY TO GO SALES AND TRAINING STAFF!!(I've attached a couple of photos of Monica wearing her new work clothes. )

Been shopping here since they opened up. Well today I went in for some brine and got it, but I wanted to check their livestock and this is what their tanks look like. I will not be buying anything from them since they neglect their animals. Saltwater isn’t cheap and I don’t want to pay top dollar for something that will die due to stress since there is no guarantee on saltwater. Look elsewhere and take the drive to Raleigh or Charlotte for high quality saltwater fish.

The Petco here, in Fayetteville, is amazing. The employees are friendly, they'll give advice (on certain pets) based on experiences, the store is clean, and items are easy to find. This is the pet store I visit more frequently and I have never been disappointed with the care they provide.

Looked online first at Amazon, Petsmart, and Petco to option- and price-compare. Petco allowed us to pickup same day and price matches, so well worth it. Once in the store, I had no idea where the product was and Corey walked me to it rather than, as some store clerks do, just pointing out an aisle or location. We then discussed the product options and he informed me of their generous return policy. Then the cashier was equally friendly and professional. Petco is definitely about pets and their owners! You guys have way too much inventory on the floor. Those racks tou have everywhere would be detrimental to panicked people...say in a fire or other emergency. Other than that, this Petco was well maintained.

I would love to start and say that I had an absolute amazing experience today! I went and got my dog Ava groomed at this location by Darryl. He was very welcoming, thorough and passionate. He explained to me how Ava’s session went and what ways I can improve my baby’s coat. He suggested using oatmeal on her coat because it was a bit dry so I will for sure buy that in the next upcoming days. Moreover, he was very patient with Ava because I know at times she can be a wild one so I really appreciated that. I live in Charlotte but I will start coming to this location because my dog and I feel valued and appreciated. She will be coming here every 6 weeks to see Darryl and get her lovely beautiful cut. Lastly, her haircut is perfect. I love the finishing touches with her little waves. The Petco in Charlotte does not compare at all in any aspects. Thank you so much Darryl for taking your time and being so sweet! We appreciate you!
