This is a cute little shaved ice place. It's great for a family to go and have a treat on a hot day. My husband had the strawberry cheesecake and shaved ice, and I had the sugar-free cotton candy with vanilla ice cream inside! The young lady working was so sweet and just a pleasant. She explained the menu in detail and answered all of our questions.

The snow cone was literally the best I've ever had. I spilt half of it when I got home so I was a little sad since it tasted so good. Service was outstanding. The two employees who served me were very polite and welcoming. Definitely would go again. Only issue was how the place looked. It was clean. Just looked kinda boring. Otherwise 10/10

Usually go to the Pelicans Snowballs on Ramsey, didn't realize there was one on Yadkin road. Very clean and cool temps inside on a hot day!I wanted to get something different. Was giving some suggestions by the young lady at the counter taking orders and got the cantaloupe and honeydew flavored snowball. It was not super sweet very refreshing and I enjoyed it. If it's super hot outside I'll frequent this one if it's a little bit cooler I'll be visiting one on Ramsey they both are equal in customer service, fast and friendly and decent pricing.

The kids have been several times, my first time was today. Several options to choose from. Very sweet and fast service. Much cheaper than frozen icee at nearby convenience store. We will be returning!

My favorite place for snowballs. I didn't know Fayetteville had one I found this place in Durham.Tigers blood with sour spray is my #1 recommendation.I'm pregnant and this place is my craving. I love you guys.

The best Snow cones ever. Large cup any flavor $3.50 or small cup $2.50. Outdoor seating only. I had the Wild 🍒 cherry flavor which was great. The use shaved ice for their snow cones.

Snow cones are cold and tasty. The favor and the snow is always well mixed and evenly spread. Short waiting time. Super cool experience cause I got a front seat view to a police chase/search. Wonderful fun and SO MANY FAVORS.

I’m quite disappointed. When Pelican’s was located on Ramsey street, my children and I frequented there ALOT. They relocated which was a disappointment because from our house it was a 20 Minute drive for the treat and now it’s almost 40 minutes. I promised my daughter (age 6) that I would take her into town and make the drive for her to get her beloved snow cone. We arrived and walked in at 759 pm after driving in sheets of rain to get there. 2 customers were exiting upon our arrival. The website says open til 9 pm. My little girl ran up to the counter excited as all get out only for the young lady to look at me and say “we are closed now” I asked her to please do one last one for my daughter and she said “already put up the ice, you can come back tomorrow “. Of course my 6 yr old looked at me with pleading eyes only to break out in tears when there was nothing for me to do. No sign up that you were closing at 8. And I’m sorry, it’s ice and it could have been made. Either update your hours online or honor what is posted- oh, and if you are closing, maybe have a sign up or an employee at the door locking up so no one else enters. Or maybe just have enough compassion for a child to take 3-4 minutes to make the “last order”. Quite frankly, no longer interested in giving business to a place with little regard to children’s feelings.

My kids really like Pelican’s, so I took them today. We ordered our ice cups. Once they started making our ice cups and gave me one of my children’s cup I remember after seeing it that they add a big ball at the top of the cups. I then seen my cup and it had yet to have the ball and the favor was already in the cup with the ice that put in the cup before adding the ball, so ask could they not add the ball on mine and keep it as is. (I didn’t really want a lot) the lady that had took my order proceeds to roll her eyes at me, I didn’t say anything and avoided they negative energy. The gentleman that was making the ice cups asked her what I said and she AGAIN rolled her eyes and said “she don’t want the ball”. At this point I’m not understanding her attitude. But continued to ignore this aggression she had. After I get the rest of my order (including mine without the extra ice at the top) she proceeds to say “next time just to let you know that either all of them get the ball or non of them get the ball”. I say ok and I leave. My problem is one 1. Don’t roll your eyes at your paying customers 2. Why does it matter if I did not want the extra ice. It technically saving your business extra by me not even wanting the extra product. Like really why it that a big problem. Granted by the pick up area it does have a sign that “orders can’t be changed after ordered” but I didn’t think asking for LESS INGREDIENTS would be a product would be a problem being they not wasting product. Honestly asking to not add the extra ingredients???? It’s not like you just wasted your product and had to throw it out and make it again …. And THEN either all get a ball or none??? What kind of “rule” is that lol AND then you roll your eyes at a paying customer????? I guess next time I’ll make two orders lol or dump the top off in their trash lol but my kids enjoyed the ice so that’s a plus, I guess. But, please work on your customer service attitude.

The drive was 20 mins away from me but worth it! Brung the family out and we all enjoyed it so much! 100 flavors and the cup sizes are nice sz. You get 2 flavors a cup. They have candy toppings and sour spray. I loved it, Awesome! Definitely new favorite spot!

Love this place, so many choices...so refreshing....still waiting for a non-sweet dill pickle flavor though :) Update: So glad they are open again. They have re done their menu, somewhat color coded, easier to read. They have so many flavors if you don't have a favorite it can take a minute to figure out what you want. (Still waiting on a tangy pickle flavor though :))

Great outdoor atmosphere. Snow cones are very good. Great sizes for all ages. Lots of flavors. We go there often when it's hot. Lots of shade and picnic tables to enjoy your treats. Great places to bring kids.

This was my first time coming to this one. I stay in Charlotte so I’m used to that one and I always order a large to share with my son and even after sharing I still have at least half a cup left. I was disappointed today because I Ordered a large red velvet with snow cream on top (my usual) and what I received had little to no syrup and honestly it barely had any ice in it. The amount I had in my cup would’ve most likely equated to a kids cup, seriously. I will not be returning to this location.

I am a big fan of Pelicans, until they started closing and hour before everything says they close, including the website, while they employees on duty that night sit in the main area talking and messing around and waved me off, while they were messing around. Very rude.

My family and I are regular customers at Pelicans. We were disappointed today when we visited their Yadkin Rd location for the first time. When you order a cup size here they always give you a ball on top of the cup, but when you get it to go they would give you a cup size bigger so the ball would be flat with the top of the cup. Now they don’t give you ball on top nor a cup size bigger for to go orders, meaning you are getting 20% or more product less for the same price. I feel like it was deceptive because we’ve been going to them for years and it was never like this.

I came down to visit from VA and my family loves this place! I ordered a fuzzy monkey snowball and it was delicious! Unfortunately they don't have a drive thru and an unpaved, grassy parking area so by the time we walked back to my car, our feet were dusty from all the dirt the cars kicked up. The great tasting snowball made up for it though.

Usually the experience is great... the gentleman with dreads is always helpful and makes great cones. Unfortunately after visiting tonight there were different people working and both of my cones had very little syrup and were basically just ice half way through. Pretty disappointing.

Ton of flavors and prices are affordable. There are 4 sizes. $2 for a kids size and the largest is $5, so prices are good. Toppings like gummy worms or whipped cream are only 50 cents. I got blue raspberry and candy apple. Soooo good!!!!!!

Pelican’s is a great place to take the kids and adults for a treat on hot days. They have several picnic tables set in the shade and are even pet friendly.The flavor board is HUGE with tons of options and the staff is patient when kids are struggling to make up their minds.It takes a few minutes to get your order, so plan for a bit of a wait, especially if they’re busy, but it is more than worth it. The portions are enormous and we always opt for the kid size so it doesn’t go to waste.

We love pelicans they give you lots of flavor with awesome choices. They have a special where you can buy $20 worth of pelican bucks and get $5 free so you get $25 total. Our favorite one is the unicorn flavor but we have liked every kind that we've tried so far no complaints here.

Can't go wrong with Pelicans! They have an enormous variety of flavors to choose from with decent prices. The staff are always welcoming and patient with you! It's convenient because it's a short walk away from campus. It's a great place to stop by on a hot day!

My kids enjoy the place and they have better selections on flavors. It's also safer to enjoy snowballs with family and friends. Only issue sometimes they are short staff or slow.

Great snocones! Not chunky/icey. They were really smooth and snowy, and they didn't skimp on the flavor syrup. Tons of flavors to choose from! The line can be long at times, but it's worth the wait!TIP: If you have little kids or don't want to deal with the rounded top, ask for a flat top and they'll put it in the next size cup (to make up for the extra you would be missing) and level it off for you.
