I had the nicest lady help me this afternoon, Feb 6th, in the men's shoe department. She was so nice and helpful and wanted to make sure the shoes fit good and were comfortable. The store has a lot of great choices in just about everything. There are sales signs all over the place. I would recommend stopping in belks.

I'm sad to say after many years of loving Belks, I will never ever step foot in this store again. My son and I stopped in earlier today to buy him a dress shirt & tie for graduation (a very happy occasion to be picking up odds/ends for) -- I was standing outside of his door in the men's dressing area un-pinning a shirt for him to try, when what looked like a customer (tshirt, I believe jeans and no apparent name tag) began to talk completely crazy at me for being in the men's dressing room (there was not a soul around except for my son, and the doors are completely concealed when shut) -- I informed him I was helping my son, which to me seemed reasonable (if you have a child of any age, you already know), but he proceeded to raise his voice and say things like "how would you feel if a man was in the women's dressing room??!!' -- well, if it were a father helping his daughter? I'm not sure what your point is.....he then says he is going to have security "DRAG ME OUT and throw me out of the store" -- at this point I'm convinced this man is insane so I said "great, you go do that" and I turned back to what I was doing. Imagine my surprise to see him again as we were leaving, stating he was now with his manager (so I assume he was actually an employee!!!) -- she seemed to echo his sentiments, though I couldn't help but wonder if she knew just how he was acting and talking prior. Needless to say I left every single thing we picked up there as I will not spend another dime in this store. We were able to get everything we needed elsewhere with zero issues -- actually HAPPY it worked out better, but still highly disturbed by the behavior shown here.My advice to Belks -- you really need to return to the days of requiring Associates to "dress" for work, ensure they wear their identification and above all else, teach your employees how to interact with customers (i.e talk to ppl like they have sense and NEVER EVER make THREATS -- esp at a MOTHER)!!! Perhaps add a sign that says "MEN/WOMEN ONLY" above your dressing rooms (if that is even your policy) or consider adding a "Family" one for parents assisting their children. It became more clear on my way out why this store was so empty (esp on the weekend).*You do not have to worry about me assisting my teenager with anything in this store in the future, we will NOT be back -- but you should do better for the customers that actually continue to shop here.

I went in to fine jewelry today and had the best customer service ever. Lolita was so courteous and helpful I needed to exchange a tennis braclet for smaller size and she looked every where to find me one I liked and fit. Unfortunately no luck but her suggestion and knowledge was soooo helpful about going to get it sized. That was a star employee.

Never really had any problems with this store. It hasn’t changed too much over the years. They used to have a larger junior section which I wish they still had now that my kids are older. But it’s a decent store with some really nice purses.

I don't remember the nice a sweet lady name but she was black and the other nice lady working next to her had an foreign accent. They were so professional. My son is ready for back to school. I found everything he needed. That was my first time at that location but Belks is always my first choice. My great grandfather and great Aunt retired from Belk Tyler's in Wilson NC so I've shopped here for pretty much all my life.

I went into the store to look for a top I saw online they didn't have in the store but was told I could go to a register and have them do an online order I I wouldn't have to pay shipping , this is good news to me so I ordered quite a few things😁. Alice was the person who helped me she was very friendly and helpful

The store was very crowded. There was a person bagging items and one on the register at the checkout counter. The person operating the register was horrible. Granted there was a person having trouble with a gift card ahead of me. I also had trouble with my card. The cashier was so flustered she took the purse I was purchasing out of the bag and threw it on the floor behind her. I confronted her about it. She then realized what she had done and said she couldn't keep it in the bag until I make the purchase and picked it up from the floor and placed it on top of a sales bag. I finally made the purchase, only because of the sale price.

On 1/22/23 my husband and I were at Belk to do a return. I walked in one of the main entrances and went to a customer service desk. When greeted I told the cashier I needed to make two returns. When asked what items I was needing to return I informed the woman it was a set of pillows. The woman proceeded to say to me and my husband “ okay, look around do you see any pillows around here home department is upstairs” she was referring to the fact that we were in the ladies department. Caught off guard by the extremely rude and inappropriate comment I answered her by looking up and pointing to the sign above and asked her “ Is this not customer service? I was unaware that returns were designated to their departments” as she tries to back track telling me that since it was slow in the store she would do the return and take the pillows upstairs. The woman asked what other item I needed to return. I told her it was on a separate receipt. I handed her the item and she told me she could not do the return because it had been over 90 days. Prior to walking inside I took the liberty to pull up the Belk website and show her were it clearly states that I can make a return with a receipt within 180 days. I was then told that policy had changed. While I can understand policy changing what I don’t understand is why it was not honored considering Belk had not taken the time to update their website return policy. This woman was set on following the policy yet when I returned my pillows that were purchased with a gift card and a Belk Credit Card she proceeded to put it all back on the credit card. She was willing to not follow policy in giving me a refund in the form of the original payment, but would not honor what the BELK website stated for my other return. Policy seems to be followed when suited to the employee I see. I’m not surprised considering every time I have ever had an interaction with her in the store she is rude. As someone that worked in retail over 10 years I never would have even thought to speak to a customer the way that she spoke to my husband and I. If it too inconvenient for you to give good customer service and be respectful it is probably best to find a new profession. Associate : 029718

MAC makeup store in Belk!!!!!!! RACHEL (sales associate @ MAC) was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal!!!!!!!! Her customer service was so pleasant and welcoming! She was helping at least 3 people at once but she did it with such grace and punctuality! I had to make sure I did a review because she was awesome!!!

Live 45 minutes away from the store, so I called the Fayetteville store to check and see if an item was in stock prior to the drive. Online said it was available and in stock, however numerous times I have found this to be untrue. Upon calling multiple times and shifted from department to department, they finally connected me to the only store manager there today. After explaining my dilemma, she preceded to tell me that I can order the product and then pick it up. I explained that I needed to compare the soft to the medium etc before purchasing. Otherwise I would have just ordered it to my home. She then again tells me to order it. Until I mention that maybe I should attempt to contact a Regional Manager that might understand what I’m talking about. She finished off by saying that she would “call me back” whenever she gets the chance to check. I’m amazed at how employees really don’t like to have to apply much effort. Unbelievable.

My experience would of been fantastic if there was a selection. I went for sandals and Nike. When did belk stop selling Nike tennis shoes. Very displeased. Picked up Sketchers not my favorite. Then ralph lauren had nothing. Sat 5 pairs of different sandles Vince camuto. Lady said they only had two out of the 3 other ones Wow... now getting aggravated. 2 pairs of tennis shoes I purchased. Then my hubby bought me a Brahmin purse and wallet to match. Ms Dorthy waited on us, she works the perfume counter. She was helping in the purses. Ms Dorthy went above and beyond what I deserved. Even helping me with my black pair of sketches. Just a beautiful person which I will be visiting her again soon. Need better or maybe more help in footwear. They need to know about high end shoes. Girl could not tell me if the RL sandal was leather or synthetic. Quality footwear they should be taught about so they help the customer. Big RL purchaser. But on RLL site. And ya'll on line. I love shopping at our Belk here in Fayetteville NC, the people are amazing, not enough help but that's corporate not our local store. One thing I would love for them to work on the downstairs ladies restroom 🚻, seriously Belk let's get that up to speed so I can come shop! Clean it up, up date it, then we will be 😁 happy! Thanks

Disappointed. Placed a order online to p/u at the store they said my item was in stock. Received a email the later stating it was not in stock and I could have it shipped for free. Well, I would hope so. They should have sent it ups or FedEx. What should have taken a couple of hours ended up being almost 2wks. 😒
