Good environment,Good beer, and friendly staff!I have never changed a review in my life but after continuing to visit sideways I feel it is needed. This place is amazing! The Brewer gave me a little history lesson and also explained why he rotates beer so often and I totally recommend asking him about it while enjoying a glass of the best beer around! The location is perfect and makes for a great place to just relax and get some fresh air!

After a day of hiking and swimming we decided to go see the local watering hole. Tucked away Sideways Farm & Brewery was well worth the drive and stop. Our group enjoyed the live music and food truck but the brews were not just on point they were delicious. Groups favorites included Grants New Zealand IPA, Spring Ale, and the Schneider’s Copper Altbier. Well crafted and and well done. We will making a trip back that’s for sure!

Very nice farm/brewery! Owner was very friendly. Explained their vision of what motivated them to start and where they want to be. We had the English Ale and Porter. Both very nice and smooth. Bought a bottle of the Porter to take home :) Would love to be back in the summer as we went at the end of March and it was rather cold outside and, no flowers whatsoever. On the day of our visit, they had the Vazbro's food truck there. We had the Jamaican empanada and a chicken Taco. They were both delicious!! Would have ordered more food but we were stuffed already!

Spent the day killing time before our flight home in the Mt Pisgah area and stumbled upon this watering hole. Great outdoor space with live music and great beers. The Cherry Farmhouse beer was wonderful.

Such a cute place to relax in the sunshine with a delicious drink. Love the farm to table feel. Friendly staff, great drinks, beautiful garden to walk in. Very dog friendly. The donut stand is excellent, and the Sunday brunch market features local crafters. Truly a gem!

Family run farmhouse artisian brewery on an actual working farm!! Locally sourced ingredients in their creations and ever evolving beers and a kombucha like drink. Hosts Jon and Carrieann are the nicest people you'd want to meet. Made a HUGE impression on us and can't wait to go back!!

Not as long a drive from North Asheville as I'd imagined, and what a lovely, peaceful setting. The co-owner was so welcoming to me and patient with my questions about the hops--kindly, competent, congenial. There were a good variety of their beers and other libations on offer, and the food truck, right by the entrance, had an appealing menu. I paid in cash for my seasonal wheat beer, which meant going over to where Grandma was taking care of the cash register, and she was great. The bar area inside was open, airy, very pleasant, and there was lots of seating outside on an expansive covered deck or out on the big lawn area, with soothing views of the farm and woods surrounding it. In short, I loved the place and will definitely go back. I should say, too, that the beer I had was excellent.

Fun sustainable little brewery that we boondocked through Harvest Hosts! Jon and Carrie Ann were gracious hosts and their beers are unique, craftily flavorful and go down smooth! Really enjoyed their Belgian Ale and the Hemp Ale!! Yum! Need to make this an annual stop to watch Sideways and the area come to life along the bike trail going in!! Thanks guys for your hospitality!

Every business is trying to find ways to thrive during COVID19 while maintaining the safety of staff and consumers. We spent some time recently at Sideways Farm and Brewery; they have set up socially distant tents outside to minimize contact between people. You can walk through a vast farm, see and pick flowers if you wish while sipping on a glass of craft brew. The Diggity Donuts food truck on the premises also has some delicious sliders - highly recommended!

This brewery is our absolute favorite in the AVL area and is a "must visit" for those that want a unique brewery to visit. Jon and Carrieann are absolutely the best and the beer is so creative and delicious, its hard to not take some home! We LOVE their story and the family feel when we visit. Holly and Jolly, the goats that you can cuddle with are fun and we love the super dog friendly policy. Every time we go back, we are anxious to see how creative Jon got with his next batch. We had our first "beer float" there with their delicious Molasses Cookie Porter, that is based on their family cookie recipe. Oh yeah, Deb, aka "Grandma" made the Molasses Cookies to go with the float!

A laid back, super friendly farm brewery surrounded by nature - bees, wild flowers, cultivated flowers for bouquets, and of course some cute animals. And, oh, probably most important, the hand crafted small batch beers are excellent!

After reading amazing reviews we were so disappointed with our experience. We walked in with no greeting, felt like we were intruding on individual conversations. No explanations or information of the farm, ingredients, vision, etc… My husband and I just awkwardly stared at a menu for a few minutes in silence at the counter before picking drinks- anticipating the staff educating us on ingredients, recommendations, etc… The beer was fine, but the experience was definitely lacking. To the staff- I would just recommend greeting all of your patrons with the same fervor that has been described in previous reviews.

The Dubble beer was one of the best beers I've had at any brewery coast to coast! The service was outstanding, the ambience was fantastic. We had a great conversation with some of the locals. Highly recommended this brewery and we will definitely be back before we leave the area.

We had an absolutely delightful time here with friends, dogs, and kids. Outstanding beer, and thankfully not a single IPA on the list. Really delicious English bitters, and some funkier stuff for the more adventurous. There was also a fantastic BBQ food truck on site during our visit, as well a a donut truck. The staff were super friendly and happy to make recommendations. Overall a great experience!

This place is great. Amazing beer and jun made by and at sideways. Great wine from a local vineyard.Service with a smile at an amazing location. You get the owners and their family pouring their delicious creations so you know the processes and why it was made.Limited runs on most brews. There's other amazing points to this place.... But you'll have to check them out to see for yourself. Can't speak highly enough about Sideways.

Randomly came across this beautiful spot during a vacation motorcycle trip with my husband. Ended up being exactly the vibe we love, from the atmosphere of the property on the farm, with the views while sitting outdoors. The brews were unique and equally satisfying. There was also a bbq food truck that we are still raving about how delicious it was. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Would love to make a trip back there!!

We had an amazing visit here with four adults, five kids, and a dog. The beer and the kombucha style beer, jun, are delicious. Fresh made donuts at the shack behind the brewery kept us all happy and the food truck, kinfolk served up food that pleased everyone in the group. We got to see some baby goats along with chickens, ducks, and sheep. You can even cut your own flowers. Even in October, the variety was plentiful. I would be here every week if I lived closer.

This brewery is such a gem. Visited with my husband and daughter over the weekend and we really enjoyed our visit. We had the beer tasting, where the owner gave us tastings as explained the beers and brews. My daughter enjoyed playing amongst the flowers and visiting the farm animals. I would highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area and looking for something unique and genuinely lovely.

I have been out to Sideways Farm and Brewery a couple of times and it is always a delight. It's tucked away in a neighborhood in Etowah, and you would never find it if you didn't know it was there. People do know, though, because they usually have a nice crowd it seems. The beers are small batch and handcrafted and they aren't afraid to branch out and do things that other people aren't. I adore their jun, a version of hard kombucha that's a little less vinegar forward, although you do have to like kombucha style drinks. My friend had the India Pale Lager they were serving and he said it was one of the best he's had, and perfect for summer! We went on one of their Market Sundays most recently, and while I wasn't particularly interested in many of the vendors, it was a nice atmosphere. The live music was a nice addition, and the porches were busy with people eating and drinking. We didn't get any food from the food truck, but what I saw looked great! I also absolutely love their program of giving back tips to a local charity each month. This connects them to the community in a meaningful way and makes me even more likely to return to support their business!

No beer yesterday! Stopped around 5:00, looked at the menuA couple of beets were crossed off. Of the 4 available beers, two were high alcohol...7.9 and 8.4. Too strong for me in the afternoon. I ordered a pale ale, he only had a 4 ounce pour remaining! Long trip over there for a 4 oz beer.
