Went into this sandwich shop while on the Isle. Never been in before, but surely glad I stopped in this past weekend. I order the Italian option, with some slight modifications. The presentation was so nifty in the best way. The meat was rolled up and laid in a row. The cheese was underneath in a single layer. The visual impact was wonderful for me. The meats and cheese are Boar Head products, so I knew that the sandwich was taste wonderful. The price was justified for the level of quality of products used. I also was able to do some shopping in the little store that was on the other side of the sandwich shop. I located a few hand painted cards to send back to family in CO! Overall, this is a great stop and stop. Highly recommend this location.

If you are on Emerald Isle and want a BLT, I don’t know why you would go anywhere but the Village Market. Look at my sandwich! Amazing. And only $6.10! What a deal. And the service was friendly and prompt. I have gone 3 days this week! Open at 7am. I’d suggest going early.

Loved this place. Great food, so many options. Good service. Inside/outside dinning.Every time I'm in town I come here for this hash brown casserole. It's the one thing I come for every single time. I know they probably think I'm crazy, or maybe they just get annoyed because it's the only thing I order along with a San Pellegrino, But it's the breakfast I need to have whenever I'm in town, and I'm not much of a breakfast person.

EDIT UPDATE July 2023:I love the added outdoor seating and finally they've put a speaker outside for when your orders ready.They're dog friendly and there's a water bowl outside for your thirsty good girls and boys.When you go in, the menu is on the wall, order, they'll give you drink cups to grab drinks. There's a vending for plastic silverware right by the sodas. If the seating inside is crowded, go out the side door by the sodas machine and find a place to sit - they'll call your order over the loudspeaker!As locals we enjoy the Village Market year round. I finally had a chance to go in for lunch and had a wonderfully made sammich from their deli. TOTALLY beats those chain sandwich shops.EDIT: Village Market IS my favorite place for breakfast. The hashbrown casserole cannot be missed!!

Decent diner breakfast. We had a croissant egg sandwich, the village breakfast and an egg sandwich. All good but only memorable item is the hash browns. Think scalloped potatoes in the form of hash browns. Do NOT order the drip coffee, it's terrible. So grateful we found this local market deli! My girlfriend and I were starving, don't know the area and went out looking for something healthy for our late lunch. This place just looks so friendly we decided to pop in and check it out. The staff and owner were so damn sweet and the gifts & food were all top quality. I loved everything about this place. Absolutely will stop in each time I visit EI & AB.

This place is absolutely delicious. Boyfriend got the yellowfin tuna sandwich just the way it comes, with the creamy slaw as a side. I got the portobello sandwich the way it comes minus the cheese, also with the slaw & pasta salad. Super delish. They have a decent single can beer selection. Not a huge selection, but they've got the basics plus some local NC brews to choose from. Fantastic food, made fresh & served up in a timely manner too. Service was friendly & quick. Dog friendly patio with turf & plenty of shade. Will definitely be coming back whenever we visit the Emerald Isle!!

Loved having breakfast here. Reasonable, great food and very friendly staff. Waffles, pancakes and hash were great. Other items were good but too main stream (eggs, bacon, sausage) to call great. Their cakes were also amazing. Best carrot cake ever! Ultimate chocolate cake was amazing as well.Plan to come back whenever we visit.

I have been here 3 times now on my week long vacation to Emerald Isle…twice for lunch and once for breakfast. Has never disappointed. Love the gift shop they have and even have a large outdoor area so you can bring your pets. Great, prompt and efficient service from the staff, and food seems reasonably priced. Atmosphere has that “authentic” and “cozy” feel to it as well.

Great option for casual (limited-service) breakfast/lunch in Emerald Isle. Expansive menu and additional dessert options. Indoor and outdoor seating (extra points for pandemic-conscious patio spacing) with a wonderful atmosphere. EI staple!

Please check your receipts- they charge you more than price listed on their menu. They are doing this and not telling customers. I get inflation but charging more and then saying it's because of inflation and then not matching the prices on the board is illegal.Also good is overpriced to start with . $12 for 1/2 sub.

Beware the hash brown casserole - which by all thoughts should be gluten free - BUT it's NOT! Every review said the casserole was great - it was awful. A strange mix between mash potatoes, breading, chunks of potatoes - served in an ice cream scoop portion. Couldn't even finish it. Very expensive, very little food - $80 for 5 people who didn't order much - left hungry. No need to tip since they don't serve you nor do they clean up or check on how things are going but when you check out - the machine automatically pops up for you to leave a tip. Will never eat here again.Dietary restrictions: Beware - hash brown casserole is NOT gluten free.Parking: Limited parking.

Best breakfast ever! Fresh fruit and a bagel smothered with cream cheese and topped with bacon and cucumber slices. A combination I would never have tried, but will eat over and over again. Thanks to The Village Market!

Grilled portobello mushroom sandwich with a side of cole slaw was not good at all. Grilled cheese was just simply grilled cheese, definitely not worth the $7.99 price tag. If the other menu items are similar, I would not recommend this place at all.
