Kind of small place. We had a decent wait on a random Tuesday. However, taco Tuesday did not disappoint. Our family got wings, shrimp tacos and fish tacos and everything was delicious. I don't remember our servers name but she was great too. They have a shop side too but we didn't buy anything but it was neat. Will come back next time we're in the area.

This place is quickly becoming an iconic stop for those who visit the beach. The food was good, but not in the unique and great category. The crab cake sandwich was an average crab cake that needed more grill or oven time to add a little crisp to it. The seasonings were overly onion flavored, and the crab, as expected from an NC crab cake, we're not lump, but overly shredded. Zucchini fries were overly breaded, and should only be breaded in a panko/cornmeal breading coating. The STAR of the show is the FUDGE in the gift shop area!!! You cannot miss the fudge!! Vanilla Salted Caramel is spectacular, as are all the flavors made in house by the owner.Overall, it is a fun place, my reviews are picky, and I will probably return.

Nice stop close to the beach. Parking was slammed. Entry was a little awkward entering on the storefront side. All staff was very friendly and helpful.Food was good but didn't really separate itself from anywhere else. Small menu which I thought was nice because no confusion, but expected a few things I didn't see.I would recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in here for lunch, had a pretty long wait but we weren't in a hurry. Got cheese fries and the fried pickles and peppers, didn't get a pic of those but they were good, of I had to pick between them I would go with the pickles and peppers over the fries. Fried crab cake sandwich was amazing along with the homemade chips. My partner got the fish tacos which were good, nothing really stands out about them though. Nephew got a burger that was pictured as everyone else got the crab cake sandwich or fish tacos.Decent spot for lunch but I don't really think it was worth the wait.We had a party of 6 so they added gratuity automatically. I don't remember seeing it on the menu or anything so double check your receipt.

We come to Emerald Isle/Atlantic Beach at least once a year. My wife and I visited for her birthday weekend! We were extremely satisfied! The service was awesome! We were originally told a 20 minute wait which was surprisingly faster than expected! We were seated in about 12 minutes! I ordered the combination platter with Fried flounder, Fried shrimp and Oysters with a side of fries and house salad. I could barely finish my plate but I tried because EVERYTHING tasted amazing 😂😂! Our server Alden was very attentive and made us feel welcomed and appreciated for our business. This was our first visit and DEFINITELY will not be the last. See you guys next year!!

Brought family in from Pa after the beach. Was seated by a young man training a young lady and we waited almost 20 mins and still no waiter/waitress even came to our table. We had 4 adults, 1 ten year old and 2 babies. Waitress sat 2 new tables and asked them for their drinks order. We watched 3 people, 2 of them who seated us walk in and out of the kitchen multiple times laughing and talking while we still had not been asked anything. Will definitely spread the word and will not be back. The Buisness was not busy at all either, there were 3 other tables with customers

We came because we were looking for a place with outdoor seating so we could bring our dog. They brought out a water dish for our pup and staff was nice and friendly. The food was not very good and was pricey. Fried pickles and 1 entree of crabcakes was $40 without tip or drinks. The crabcakes boasted being "a signature dish", but were not that great, mids at best. It tasted like the fryer oil needed to be changed.

An awesome place for dinner! The food is great and they have some of the best tasting fries out there. For being so busy I would think that this place would want to expand as it was kinda small. I waited around an hour to eat but it was worth it.

Went after the Irish festival and found no wait, which was great considering the crowd. Located in a small strip center off main road.Inside you're met immediately with a hostess stand and a store to browse while you wait. The place is cozy as others mentioned, however, it's well enough designed to not feel cramped. The booths are beach themed and make it inviting.Menu was big enough, prices are average to what you can expect anywhere on the Isle. We had the fried oysters, loaded baked potato and a burger meal. Kids meals were decent sized and had a few average options.There was a sign in our booth that had the first steps in beach towns and hopefully all towns one day not offering straws. Being as we are an avid ocean and recycling conservation family we always find things like this a positive step in the right direction, so kudos for that!! However, please, please stop using styrofoam for your takeaways, these are beyond damaging and 95% of towns cannot recycle it. 🌍♻️

We were planning on going to the Fish Hut Grill next door, but they were closed so we went to Flipperz. It is a small place with a cute boutique shop. I think they were a little short staffed because it took a while to get our drinks and food. We got steamed shrimp as an appetizer and it was a bit uncooked. The firecracker shrimp was really good. I asked for a maui sandwich (grilled) even though it wasn't on the menu and they made one for me. It was really good. I got a side salad that was forgettable and the hush puppies which were the worst I ever had. They need to remove them from the menu or get a new recipe stat. I had a blue mermaid drink which was good, but it didn't seem like it had much alcohol in it. The chocolate brownie cake with ice cream was awesome! My husband got the cheesecake which he enjoyed. We did order a lot more than we usually do when we eat out but our bill was a 100 with tip.

Well it’s beyond frigid in Emerald Isle today. We stopped in for some lunch and we were not disappointed. Tomato basil soup and grilled cheese was a perfect combination on this sunny but cold afternoon at the beach. Mahi burger was the special it was also delicious. Great food, great service!!

First time trying this place. Was absolutely amazing. Staff was super friendly. Our waitress was so helpful answering all of our questions. Great atmosphere. Does start to get busy at dinner time. But after we finished eating we went to the store that is attached to the store and it was fun looking around.

Small (8 booths and 5 tables) but greatHot dogs are huge (really only need 1 but can add another for $1.50). Homemade chips are fantasticKids loved the chicken and my wife's club was awesome

Being on the coast, we wanted to eat some seafood. There seemed to be several highly rated seafood restaurants in Emerald Isle, but the wait for a table at all of them was1.5-3hrs. Having two small children with us, we knew the kids weren't going to patiently wait 3 hrs to eat. We were able to get on the waiting list at Flipperz and only had to wait 1/2 hr. for a table. Our waitress (Macy?) was friendly, upbeat and helpful . She recommended a couple non-alcoholic drinks for two of us that we both liked. I had the lavender lemonade, which was delicious!The place had a nice ambience with aquatic decor - what you would expect. Our food came quickly and our waitress checked in with us several times (excellent service). Two of us split the firecracker shrimp appetizer, which was very tasty. When the entrees came we all found the portions were ample, but everything was overcooked - too long in the fryer. The food was OK, but not up to the same level as the service. I would eat here again, but would make sure to tell my waiter to tell the kitchen not to overcook my food. Sorry I don't have pictures to share, but we had small children we had to get home and put to bed, so we were a bit rushed.

Our waitress was so great. She had a wonderful personality and great with our kids. The crab dip had great flavor and she added extra pita chips for the girls. The steamed shrimp was cooked just right. My husband and I each had a crab cake (full of flavor) and split a founder filet (also tender and fof). My kids wanted to go back the next night. We should have listened because we paid a lot of money to be disappointed at another local seafood place.

Over the years, my family and I have made sure to visit Flipperz any time we've been in the area since we first discovered it.They have a wide selection of dishes, with something for everyone. Personal favorites are the steak sandwiches and wings.They also have a great selection of cocktails, drinks, and desserts.Staff has always been friendly and helpful anytime we've been here and go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable.There's a nice gift shop you'll see when first entering that is reasonably priced with a lot of items to look at. They also sell fudge in some great flavors.Lastly, they have a seasoning that's amazing that they use on a lot of their items and they call it George's Mix. You can purchase it, just ask a staff person. I've been using it at home for years and it tastes amazing on fried potatoes, steak, etc.

Came here based on the reviews and wished I had just kept driving a few more minutes to morehead city for great restaurants.Our waitress was great but they brought out my plate wrong so my husband ate while I waited for my plate. Purpose of eating out together is to eat out together. That’s a big no no for restaurants. And for that I will not return.Shrimp both fried and blackened were terrible. Mushy chewy and tasteless. The waitress even commented that the fried didn’t have any breading. You can get better shrimp at Popeyes. And the fried shrimp were as tiny as salad shrimp.Best thing in my plate was the coleslaw. I would not recommend eating here.
