What fun atmosphere and delicious food! Mostly caught fresh though some times the food was previously frozen. Just gotta ask at the order counter what's fresh.A lot of outside picnic table seating as well as indoor tables. The wait staff is young and energetic and the place is always busy.This place could triple in size for all the demand there is, the only issue is they don't have the space to do that if they want to provide parking.

Casual and fantastic atmosphere. Seats at the bar are full serve. All the tables are order at the counter. Fish is excellent as are the wings. Cocktails are killer. Long line at the counter, someone will likely help you get a cocktail in your hand while you wait. Or grab a beer out of fridges or cooler, use the bottle opener on the wall, grab a koozie to use and return if you want. Seasonal operation from St. Patrick's Day through mid November. For me, this is a must visit and enjoy while you are in Emerald Isle. We go multiple times when in town.Parking: There are many businesses in close proximity that have reserved spaces. Do NOT park in those or risk being towed. When it's busy you may have to park a short distance away.Kid-friendliness: Indoor and outdoor spaces for kids to hang out and enjoy. There's a kid menu also.

What a fabulous, colorful and fun place!We were driving by and the colors and crowd drew our attention, and when we looked it up and saw the 4.6 rating, we knew it was our lunch spot.You wait in line to order at the counter. There's someone to greet you at the door and take your drink order and explain the system.We ordered the Blueberry Jalapeno Margarita and the Strawberry Cilantro Margarita.Once at the counter, we ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos (grouper) for $14.95 and on the staff recommendation, we ordered a small Cole Slaw for $2.95 and the Beans for $2.95.We went to get a table outside (there were options inside as well) and our drinks arrived a minute later. Both margaritas were very good.The fish tacos were fresh and cooked perfectly. The small serving size of the beans and slaw were surprisingly large. The cole slaw was lightly dressed with mayo and very crunchy. The beans were a mix of two types and were incredibly flavorful.The staff checks on you regularly, allowing you to add anything to your open order at any time. After we finished, we waited in another line to pay at the register.The whole fried fish also looked spectacular and there were so many enticing items on the menu. We want to come back and try some more.Very limited parking in the shared lot.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fish Hut Grill is my favourite spot to eat in Emerald Isle. It’s become a tradition for my family that after a day at the beach we head over to Fish Hut Grill but don’t wait too long because there’s usually a line out the door. I love the rush slowly vibe of this place and the great service. Highly recommend the whole fried fish as well as the blackened grouper sandwich. For sides don’t skip out on the Minnesota poutine. Cheers.

I visited the first time when I was in the area last year. I had to come back during my vacation this time too!! We get the lb of peel and eat shrimp. It's seasoned to perfection! Fries and onion rings on the side make for a fantastic early evening meal! It'll be a must eat at place each time I come to the area!Parking: Finding parking without parking in the marked spots for the close by businesses is practically impossible especially as popular as the place is.

So good! If I were to spend a week on the island, I’d eat here every day. The line was out the door and well onto the parking lot but it moved quickly. An employee came out to take drink orders while we were in line so our drinks were ready by the time we reached the counter to order food.All of the food was delicious and fresh. The fish had great flavor. The cucumber salad was refreshing and bright. And the cheese curds were are fried and buttery rich as you’d expect.We also had a number of cocktails. They all had very fresh ingredients and good flavor. No skimping on the booze either!

My husband and I recently had lunch here and it did not disappoint! It was our first time in Emerald Isle and after searching online for a good place for seafood we decided to give it a try. There was a bit of a line when we arrived but it moved quickly. I had grilled shrimp and fries and it was the perfect beach lunch! It was so delicious. My husband had a fish sandwich and cheese curds and enjoyed his lunch as well. The staff were all very friendly as well. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!Dietary restrictions: I can't have dairy and had no trouble finding a delicious meal here!

Food was amazing, We got the grilled Yellowfin tuna sandwich, cucumber tomato salad, grilled shrimp tacos and onion rings. Service was great, but the wait was very long just to place the order, after that food was out in 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very nice. Very limited parking, we kind of just got lucky with a spot.Parking: Very small amount of parking, most of the parking lot is reserved for other businesses in the area.

Great food great service. We were met at the door and asked what drinks we wanted while we stood in line for ordering our food. We had a round of fancy margaritas while we gave them our order and got a table. Somebody checked on us while things were being prepared and as the dishes came off the line they were brought to us. Our party of five had a wide selection from whole sea bass, fries, fish bites, slaw, and poutine- which is cheese curds in white gravy. (Sounds weird but it is great) Everything was excellent with one minor exception. My side of onion rings was a bit greasy, like they didn't drain the oil off before plating it. We chose to go at 7pm on a Sunday after the weekend rush and had no problem getting a table. Keep in mind they are only open a few days a week, so check ahead, and be prepared for a wait. They have lots of outside seating if the weather is good.

Food was okay but not worth the wait and price. 180 dollars for 5 people is a bit high. The fish taco were good but the tuna poke bowl didn't have any flavor. Also had a good vibe and drink for the wait was a nice touch.

There's a reason this place has a line out the door always! The food is great, the staff is friendly, and drinks are delicious. Yes there can be a wait time sometimes, but it's worth it. The atmosphere has a fun vibe to it and while waiting you can have drinks and meet new people. They put trust in their customers as well which goes a long way in repeat business!

Very popular spot so be prepared to line up! Kind of a confusing approach to ordering and paying for the meal but that took nothing away from the quality of the food. Scallops were perfectly cooked and there was a variety of fresh fish dishes on offer. Great food but plan for the crowds!

This is a one place you can’t miss when you come to Emeralde Isle. This is a family owned local restaurant which has an honor system with payments kinda similar to Provisions restaurant in Southport, NC. They pretty much have all kinds of seafoods and the best part of it is the fried whole fish which was awesome, by the way. The fish comes with 2 generous sides ( cucumber salad was amazing and coleslaw was fresh). They have a full bar and have all kinds of common and their own creations of mixed drinks. Good selection of domestic and imports beers. I have to warn you though that you will fall in line and wait. This place is always crowded but the wait is so worth it. A true seafood lover would appreciate a place like this. We would definitely come back here if we’re ever at Emeralde Isle.

Can see why there is always a line here, it's delicious. While you wait get a beer from the cooler or order a cocktail and pay later, great concept! The poke and blackened fish tacos were out of sight. The fries were legit and would suggest the poutine fries with curds and killer sauce. The pain killer and crush were awesome, extensive beer selection, with limes in the little cooler.Vegetarian options: Great options, salad with all toppings, salad was super fresh, killer friesParking: Yep plenty Kid-friendliness: Great open seating place

We had an unforgettable experience here, wow. You can order a fish here (seasonal so not always sane fish available all seasons) we ordered red fish and it was so tasty and fried to the perfection. Be ready to lineup in a queue 🙂, it will be crowded. Although inside sitting is good enough and service was good. Overall it was amazing food experience, whole family enjoyed. Kids will love it too.

Amazing! This place was popular and for good reason. About 20 min wait but well worth it. Staff came by for our drink orders while we waited. Delicious food and cocktails! Especially loved the mojito and strawberry cilantro margarita. Mahi mahi sandwich, onion rings, and kids chicken tender basket were also standouts.

These folks are awesome! They hire a great staff and the service is always phenomenal.Fresh fish each day combined with creative drinks. We’ve always had a great experience here. Highly recommend!
