Staff might care to scan the waiting area before saying certain things about customers... With that being said, the people working the pharmacy are clearly overworked. They work hard to get prescriptions out as quickly as possible. CVS should really consider keeping larger team in the pharmacy to help meet demand. I was put off by what I heard, however, if I was having to run and work as hard and as fast as these people were it could have just as easily been what I would have said. Management needs to do better supporting their employees.

Miss Barb was ready to provide advice on remedies for severe toothache issue~not only did she recommend~ she gathered all items and gave full instructions. In and out in less than 5 minutes!! Thank You CVS and Miss Barb!! CVS Extra Care pass and savings saved 73%, paying only $4.79!!

I LOVE CVS, STAFF SO FRIENDLY SO HELPFUL, FROM THE PHARMACY TO BUYING MERCHANDISE IN THE STORE.. VERY HELPFUL, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF ALL PRODUCTS... I finally made the switch from Walgreens in Cape Carteret to CVS in Emerald Isle and boy was it the absolute BEST decision ever. I first called CVS and spoke with Elizabeth to ask about insurance and if they had my medicine. At first she wasn't sure if insurance would pay and how soon she could get the meds. So she kindly kept me on the phone and researched it to find out insurance would pay and she would have the medication in a day or so. Then she said she would call Walgreens to get my prescription transferred. I was so excited and so impressed with the staff at CVS. Never would you get this kind of service at Walgreens. Then I received a call from Elizabeth...poor thing held on the phone for thirty minutes with Walgreens and still no answer to transfer my meds. I felt so bad for her that she waited that long as a staff member for me. However I knew what she went through because Walgreens never answers the phone. Long story short she sent over a fax request for my transfer. I am truly amazed and thankful to have finally made the switch to CVS. I need this medication daily and I now feel confident that I will have no more delays in receiving my meds monthly. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart to Elizabeth and ALL the staff at CVS on Emerald isle. The island is lucky to have such wonderful people caring for the medical needs.

I agree with someone else’s review. The little man pharmacist is rude and obviously felt that using the cash register was beneath him. He made me go up front to purchase the non prescription items in my basket. He said he was busy but I was the only customer at the time. As a professional business woman for 40 years, going above and beyond for a customer is key for an exceptional client experience. Customers seldom remember what you do but they will always remember how you made them feel.

They were in no rush to get to you they would even say we will get to you when we can. Customers should be #1 priority. Took them 15 minutes to transfer a prescription over then they told me 30 minutes until the prescription was ready then it was late even after all that. Will never use this CVS again. The women was extremely rude but the gentleman was at least pleasant and helpful. That’s the only reason I could give any starts.

Great experience getting immunizations for my family! Pharmacist Elizabeth Bailey was wonderful! Great personality and patience! Elizabeth got all four of us in and out in record time! Thank you CVS and Elizabeth Bailey for great experience!

I have tried to call the pharmacy several times is the last 2 days. It's impossible. I waited on hold for over 2 hours total with no response. I finally transferred a prescription online. It was supposed to be ready by 4:00 the same day. I checked in online the first day. It was in "process" I checked the next day and it was "in process". I checked the 3rd day and it was in "process". I finally decided I better go to the store and see what was up. The prescription was still in "process" but they said they would have it ready in 15 minutes, and they did. I asked why they didn't answer the phone. They are too busy and under staffed. Why didn't you fill my prescription until I came into the store? They are under staffed they said.It's a farther drive for me to another CVS, but I can't tolerate this customer service.

The CVS texting system is not working properly. I was notified last night that a prescription was ready through a text message, the medication and dosage were listed. I confirmed a time for pick up today. When I arrived today after work, I was told that the medication was not only not ready, but the doctor had not filled the prescription yet. Why am I getting texts to confirm pickup if there is no medication ready. So tonight I don’t have this medication. Is CVS liable if something happens? Can I trust CVS in the future? Food for thought.

Got a nasty double ear infection while I was down there. Too much swimming pool! My doctor treated me from afar, and this CVS was great coordinating things. Terrific pharmacists. Nice, friendly store. Conveniently located. Plenty of parking.,

Went there a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday to have 5 prescriptions filled. Got there at 4:45 and they close at 6:00. When I got there pharmacist was very rude and said he didn't know if he had enough time to fill all of them. He acted like he didn't want to be bothered. Then after waiting 30 minutes he said he didn't have 3 of them in stock. So I ended up leaving with no meds.

Never answers phone when you try to call in refills. I have to drive to store to let them know I need refills. Have called them in store where I can see them. No customers at pharmacy. They refuse to answer phone. It is a shame when you have to drive to CVS to let them know you need refills. This is a monthly occurrence. Have been with CVs since they opened. Does no good to call District manager located in New Bern. I realize the number of pharmacy staff have been decreased and pharmacy staff can not control this. Answer the phone please. In reality you are working for the customers. The money their insurance and the copay they pay is paying your salary. None of us would come to a pharmacy if we were not sick. What gives?

I have been a customer since CVS opened on a Emerald Isle many years ago! My surgeon at Duke sent in a new prescription on Friday for Gabapentin. The pharmacist on duty, Heather, told me she did not feel comfortable filling it when I talked to her over the phone on Saturday morning so I went in person to the pharmacy that afternoon to talk to her and I showed her I still have 2 drains in from major surgery. She told me again she did not feel comfortable filling it; she said she could fill but would not. My surgeon at Duke wrote the first prescription, I called Dr Yoo’s office and explained my situation about the pain to his nurse, she talked to Dr Yoo and he sent a new prescription not a refill! He felt it was needed. Your pharmacist decided that I did not need it so I have been in unnecessary pain and discomfort because of her inability to see and accept a Dr’s orders! It’s Sunday night and I’m hurting and extremely angry that I have been treated badly. I’ve been a customer for many years and you could look at my record and see that I have never abused medications. This is my 5th surgery in a little over 2 years, I’m 64 years old and trying to follow my Drs orders but no instead I’m very uncomfortable and not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight! I may move my prescriptions to another pharmacy after 30!plus years at Revco and CVS at this location. Jo Ann Riddle

This CVS never answers the phone if they do it's after an hour on hold. Your doctor sends in your prescription and they never seem to get it. They only have 1 employee in the pharmacy area and apparently they can't handle the work load of filling prescription, taking care of drive thru and answering the phone. This CVS is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with and I have been with CVS for years but as of today my prescriptions are with Walgreens. If you are local to Emerald Isle you will be better off driving to Swansboro and using the CVS rather then this trainwreck of a place.

This is the worst pharmacy I ever had to deal with. I get a text on Friday saying they ordered my meds I call Wednesday afternoon and I’m told they haven’t even been ordered yet.When did they plan on notifying me?Three days without my meds without the courtesy of a phone call.Then to add insult to injury When I asked for the manager the girl says there isn’t one there I then asked for the store manager and was told there was no point talking to them they were separate from the pharmacy.Then she said she didn’t have to listen to me and hung up..I started using this pharmacy last july and there had been a problem almost every month. I will never go back

Went in for a flu shot today. Female pharmacist extremely rude. I have had a bad experience with the shot and when I tried to tell her about that she talked over me and said abruptly “Well I’m not him”. Absolutely didn’t care about my experience and me. I had a great experience. I was near the CVS for the Emerald Isle Boat Parade. It was an awesome parade. My grandfather is with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and he was in the parade.

Simply.....they refuse to answer the phone in the pharmacy. My wife is currently on hold now for over 45 minutes. I have witnessed this happen while in the store. They get a "one pharmacy call" and they mill around and "act" busy and ignore the call. I have watched them do this. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

I have transferred all of our prescriptions To another pharmacy because of the customer service. I had to set at the drive through window on two occasions for 20 minutes or more before anyone came to the window and once I waited longer. I watch two cars give up and pulled away before I gave up and just left without my medication. I have been with CVS at Emerald Isle for10 year’s really sad that I had to find another pharmacy.

Just called to get a medication transferred that my father in law forgot at home. Pharmacist told me she was 3 days behind on non CVS transfers? Guess they are ok with him suffering for 3 days. I am not.

This pharmacy is an absolute disaster ! Prescriptions always late ! Non stop on-going issues ! Non existent customer service - I'm going to switch over to Walgreens - I'm tired of them.

This business is not a Minute Clinic. They open their pharmacy at 10 even though the store opens at 8. The closest minute clinic is in wilmington (57 miles away).
