Some Dollar generals are clean others look like a hurricane went through them. But here you have to remember the one most important thing you save money at Dollar general most of the time and that's what it comes down to saving money. Believe me when I say I have shopped at Ingles I have shopped at CVS pharmacy and I have shopped at food Lion and you can believe there is a huge difference in the price!!! The Dollar general you go to might be filthy and a lot of them are but what's important is the money you save. The one here is getting a 3-star rating because of the staff as well as the cleanliness of the store. I frequent Dollar general in ellenboro daily. When I'm not going to other places. In other stores a bag of York peppermint mints are nearly FIVE DOLLARS!!! Here they are a dollar and a half!!! Enough said #dollargeneral #store #business #traevelingman

CORPORATE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING!!!ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! IF YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES ALL THE STOCK IN THE BACK LINING THE ENTIRE BACK LENGTH OF THE STORE! CANT EVEN GET A BUGGY ALONG THE BACK.THIS IS THE WORST DG I'VE EVER BEEN TO.

Dollar general is a known commodity, however there are differences between stores. This one was ok. Not super clean, not stocked completely full. Good place to go if you need something generally available but are short on time or don't want to drive all the way in to town.

FRIENDLY, very nice and helpful. ALWAYS helping me, I have Back issues and they always help load and carry out my things to car if I need. I'm sorry I can't remember the girls name that cashiered last Thursday, but she was greatI had about $250. Of items I purchased, she helped load the app for $ general between checking out my purchases, bagged light enough for me to carry at home, placed the items in another buggy for me and took the buggy to my car. James is always so helpful as well. He does the same for me. And returns the buggy for me. Couldn't ask for nicer people.

The store is always a mess, empty shelves but flat carts stacked sky high with inventory. I just open the box myself to get the product I need. There may be one or two friendly associates there, but the majority of employees act like they hate being there and hate customers being there.

Both Employees outside, store inside totally unintended. I had to wait for a while before one employee came inside to help me. She was eating a popsicle while she was taking care of customers.

This DG really surprises me. The staff is so nice but I'm thinking it's because they are all relaxed smoking at the door of the store. The U boats have been piled up there for over a month. I figuring the Truck comes and more stuff just gets piled untop of stuff. I'm sure there are Christmas stuff that hasn't been opened yet. MY QUESTION IS:WHERE IS THE STORE MANAGER?WHERE IS THE DISTRICT MANAGER?WHERE IS CORPORATE, THEY MUST SEE THE SALES?CRAZY ITS SUCH A MESS TO SEE THAT THE FEW STAFF THST THERE IS NICOTINE NICE AND DON'T DO MUCH SLL DAY.... Now they hired a pregnant lady that look like she about to give birth in a week. Hey she might be related to a co worker there. I'm just saying. Come on DG step it up. It's a small community in Ellenboro we need you open and not NICOTINE up... Really

They are always willing to help their customers, no matter how busy they are...and they never act like you are a bother when u ask for their help. U always see them working no matter what time u go there, and they will stop what they are doin if u need their assistance or if another employee needs them at the register.

Employment yes are always nice & helpful and for itTo be a smaller store it is usually clean and isles are not cluttered with stuff piled in boxes in ur way making it hard to look through

This is my least favorite Dollar General. I seriously bypass it and go to family dollar.Update: it is a hot mess. I usually go elsewhere but the other place didn't have what I needed. Items in the floor, aisles are blocked from it. Shelves are a mess and there seems to be no one working on them.

As most DG's the floor is covered with overstock and all the buggies were being used to hold said overstock so was kind of an inconvenience when your buying large or heavy items like dog food but the employees were nice.

The staff are friendly. The environment is full of harsh cleaning products aroma's though.If you suffer with MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) it is best to wear a respirator in there or just avoid it.

The ellenboro DG is always in a complete mess. And if the girl with short hair and tattoos is the manager, good bless us all. She is one of the ruder people there. The store in never ordered right, all the time out of stock. The prices never wring up right.***********To whom it ever concerns, I work at Subway in ellenboro for 3 years now. I am the assistant manager. I wish you would give me a chance to make your store beautiful. Why leave Subway? I want out of the restaurant business, making sadwiches all day.I am a 50 yr old female with experience in retail, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, filing, bank statement.I also did historical tours in New Bern NC on a horse and carriage, I gave history also.I would love the chance to get your store straight. I can count down drawers for next shift.I can open the store, that's what I did at Subway.So neighbor, will you give me a chance?

I only go there for what family dollar doesn't have. Better friendlier staff at family dollar that have worked there for years. Dollar general staff is barely sufficient to run the store.

A decent place to pick up those little odds and ends you forgot and don't want to go back to town to get. They recently remodeled and now the groceries are scattered throughout the store.
