This is not a working system!!! Medications have been messed up twice. Refills not being ready before you run out. App isn't working. No one will answer the phone. Staff members fighting in front of customers. If you can't have a working system, close the door until you can. Before someone gets hurts or killed from medications not being correct. This is greed!!! I truly believe this is not the staffs fault.

Sorry,sorry Excuse of a Pharmacy..It needs to be closed due to the fact of the anger it induces due to Really Poor Service..As soon as Possible ill get my prescription changed to a Winston salem based pharmacy,ill drive the extra miles to get my prescriptions on time and have better customer service.i need to start a Petition in Elkin to have this pharmacy closed,continually running out of medications and you can expect to wait days or a couple of weeks to get a prescription filled. Please,let this place be be put in the spotlight with Walgreens upper management and the local better business bureau and the chamber of commerce in Elkin,NC..By far the worst experience in my life in regards to a pharmacy..as soon as i can see my provider im going to have my prescriptions sent Anywhere else but Walgreens!!!Sucks,Sucks Piss Poor Customer Setvice and Unable to get prescriptions refilled in less than 2 weeks...

Their store manager is a corporate hide behind not a useful bone in their body!!! How can there company take the money out of my account as I decided to go with the express pay option this being the first time it was said to make your experience faster so I did so low and be hold it took out which was for this particular prescription $110 out of my account at that time I didn't have enough to pay for it again and they cannot release it and it is still not been released as of this moment in time which is will about four days now this is nuts. Fortunately, I had an employer that I work for who is more than willing to help me out to get the medication what? What the hell if I didn't have that it was a medication I needed like I cannot function without it.! Fu Walgreens!!!

Store wise I love it. But, the pharmacy is a negative 100 in my book. They should make customers wanting a prescription filled park instead of waiting in the drive thru. They fill whatever prescriptions they want, when they want. The only pharmacy staff except 2 are very rude, snobby, slow, and have no clue that they're doing. And it's sad because years ago I worked here and actually enjoyed it. But, if you're needing your medicine you'll have to wait days until they feel like filling it.

This particular Walgreens branch must be vying for a spot in the Uselessness Hall of Fame. They're constantly delayed in refilling prescriptions, waste the customer's time by putting said prescription in the wrong bin so it takes them twenty minutes to even find it when it finally is ready. Thirty minutes on the phone just to be told that my prescription would be ready by 4:00 and that it's in stock, after waiting for days for it to get filled in the first place. If it's in stock, why did it take that long?Don't even bother with the drive-up pharmacy. You'll end up waiting until the next Ice Age and will need to go in anyway. I've been getting the same script for the past eight months and six out of those eight pickups have yielded less than favorable results. I'm about to switch to CVS in hopes that maybe they move a little faster than pondwater and have enough staff on hand to actually function.What an embarrassment.

The pharmacy here is a disaster. They forget to call medication transfers in, long waits, and rude staff. They will say they are short staffed but sit around gossiping while they have multiple people waiting. I’ve never had an issue at any other Walgreens locations but this one.

Walgreens has been my pharmacy of choice for many years. Over the last year, their service has went downhill tremendously. While I understand, we are in a labor shortage, I have never experienced such a lack of customer service the last few times I’ve had to pick up a prescription. I’ve been told many times by the Elkin store that they are not able to look up the stock of other stores, but other stores such as Dobson, Mount Airy, and Sparta are able to look up stock without a problem. Tonight was my last time sending my prescription to Walgreens in Elkin. They have lost a lifetime customer. Elkin Walgreens Pharmacy has went downhill it’s a disgrace to our town. They staff is exceptionally rude!

If I could give zero stars, I would! I’ve been waiting for over 2 days now for my sons pain medicine. They keep giving me a sorry excuse when they do answer and just now I wanted on hold for THIRTY minutes just for them to pick up the phone and HANG UP! I will NEVER have another prescription sent here. They’re VERY lazy and RUDE.

I was told Friday that my script would be ready Saturday ( I live in Irredell County). So I go Saturday and they said that I couldn't pick it up til Sunday. So my caregiver goes by today, Monday, to pick it up and they said they were out of that medicine until the truck comes in around 3- 3:30. Why in the heck wasn't the it filled when they said I could get it the first time????? They crapped me out of around 20 pills a few months ago and didn't realize it until I got to the beach and had already taken a few days off my medicine.. There have been a few times they have been so wrong over things and I have been so tempted to take my business elsewhere but hard to find certain medicines. Lord, how I pray they can get better.

Called and told they were working on my prescription it would be ready for pick up at six. I live 20 miles away I get to pharmacy a few minutes before six and they are closed!! Why not tell me they were closing early? Now I have to make another trip and we all know nobody has anything better to do than make multiple trips to pharmacy!!

I cannot begin to describe how slow and inept this place is. I have not once had a prescription filled on time even when I filled it DAYS before the scheduled pick up time. You can't call because nobody ever answers the phone. If you have auto pay set up it almost always charges you twice(once when they finish filling it after 2 forevers and again when you pick it up ) causing you to have to sit there getting a charge reversed since you can't leave and handle it later because again, nobody will answer the phone. Their app is busted, notifications either never go out or pop up hours to days late. Thanks Walgreens for the heads up about me picking my meds up 2 days ago...😒. I could go on and on about how much ire and contemp I have for this place and will be happily paying twice as much across the street at CVS from now on.Edit : The 1 star was for counting my meds correctly which honestly at this point is a shocker.

Pharmacy staff is Incredibly RUDE AND INEFFICIENT ! Today, they Shorted me by 10 pills. When I called to ask about it, the person did not Even apologize! I had to make a Second trip to get them! We will NOT BE GOING BACK!

I rarely ever leave reviews but I am beyond annoyed with this Walgreens. I got a covid test on 10/11 and was told before scheduling it that I would get the results within 2 days. I had to have a negative test for a concert on 10/13. It is now the third day and there is nothing in my portal. My mom called another Walgreens location near her and they looked me up and said they see no record of me receiving a test in their system at all. I have called 3 times, once I was hung up on.... once I was "put on hold" for 20 mins so I hung up, and the final time I was told that I need to call labcorp and there wasn't anything they can do. I asked them to check and see if they have record of me receiving the test and they said they can't do that and that I need to call labcorp again. You can't see the record of an appointment and a test that YOU administered??? This test was to get into a concert that I will probably not get to go to due to their incompetence. Not to mention I got to the drive through 12 minutes before my appointment and had to sit there for 45 MINUTES in line to get the test done which took me a total of maybe 2 minutes to complete. UNREAL.

Waiting, waiting and more waiting is the only way I can describe this place. Sure, you'll get your prescription, if you have an hour or 2 to kill. And don't be suprised if a spanner in the works pops up while you're waiting, making you need to wait even more. Almost every single time I go here with my dad it is a test of patience that he doesn't make it through, and I barely do. I am THIS close to putting it as a 1 star.

If I could give a -5 star review I definitely would. Very rude unprofessional people my mother in law came to get her meds she lives in mountairy and came to get her prescription here. They said sorry your not a priority. Apparently they don't care if your in pain or not. She has chronic pain from a unfortunate accident that happened years ago. They are liars. And they don't seem to care completely unprofessional and didn't want to give me the number to corporate.tgis is ridiculous

Ever since we had to switch to Walgreens from rite-aid, it has been nothing but problems. We just waited an hour and a half for prescription, only to be told we had to wait because they said entered insurance wrong and the pharmacist (who was standing right next to her) had to review it. 25 minutes later we finally get out of there! We want Rite-Aid back!!!! #Where’sthe0review

Why have a phone for customers to call if all they are going to hear is 3 or more callers ahead of you every time they call. It's ridiculous! You hang on for 45 mins to speak to no one because you are cut off.

Very nice people working there but the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever seen. They lose prescriptions, will not call when they have to order meds, won't let you know when your RX is ready.Time to find a new pharmacy

Called and made sure my medicine was ready to be picked up and they said it was. When I arrived to get it I was told it couldn't be filled until the next day after I was told it would be ready.

This is the worst pharmacy ever! They have given me wrong prescription on multiple occasions. I have been waiting on my daughter prescription for a month and keep blaming it on insure! Don’t go here!!!!

Never can get hold of the pharmacy ....they say hold on you have 1 person in front of you I say on the phone 15 min waiting on the pharmacy to answer still no answer. Never can get ahold of anyone. Changing pharmacy as soon as I can.

Slowest drive thru pharmacy EVER...instead of making u sit in line a hour in drive thru while u are filling scripts have the person waiting drive bk around like other pharmacys do...ugh!
