I used to go thru the drive thru every morning and get a large sweet tea. I went thru this morning and they had switched the brand of tea. The tea now has a bitter taste and is awful. Won't be getting any more tea from there

Just went through the drive through and had an amazing experience. Sara is the nicest drive through attendant that I have ever encountered! Our order was fulfilled perfectly and we left feeling very happy with our experience

Went there last night the manager was very rude food was terrible manager with red hair had people running around everywhere was arguing with her boyfriend never again will we go there we go th sheetz all the time in Wilkesboro but never again in Elkin

I can’t stand trying to order food at sheetz their menu items look great but everytime it’s a “design your food thing” like I don’t want to remember the ingredients in the picture or guess what they are there should be an option to just get it how it comes no other restaurant does this to this level it’s annoying

I'm giving this location a 4 star, but I'd honestly give Sheetz as a company 2.5 Stars due to how they keep jacking the prices up, removing popular items for 'who's idea was this?' items, replacing the perfectly fine donuts with expensive 'gourmet' donuts, and nickle-and-diming you to hell about everything. Sheetz as a whole was amazing 10 years ago...Anyway. This location only loses one star from me.Half a star because I have to check my order every time, to make sure it's right. They've been training new people for the Wilkesboro store, and have had a lot of internal turnover too, so I understand the growing pains of new employees, I really do. They're always happy to fix the order when it is screwed up though, so props to them for that.Another half a star because the drink aisle is almost always trashed to hell -- sticky floors for the majority of the aisle, cups and abandoned drinks and straw wrapper everywhere EXCEPT the trash.One thing I've definitely noticed is that Sheetz corporate has cut back stores to bare bones staff, and then cut them down some more. The amount of times I've seen Friday/Saturdays with a slammed order queue and two, MAYBE three people working is ridiculous. (And one person is usually cashier + having to run the drive-through... self-checkout helps here, but still). Again, though, that's on corporate, so I'm not removing any stars for this location for it.Positives: The staff are all friendly and polite, and will apologize for the wait even if you didn't really wait that long. They definitely work hard and are trying their best, given how corporate screwed them on hours. So, a big thank you to the Elkin location staff -- you guys are awesome, hang in there!

I order a frozen chocolate mocha, two hot dogs and one grilled chicken sandwich through door dash. My son said that the hot dogs and mocha were good. My grilled chicken was cool and was like eating a yoga mat. Seems like the grilling time should be extended. No excuse for chicken that is undercooked

The staff are friendly and the store carries a decent selection, however do not order food here after 10PM. Most of my orders in the past few months have had missing ingredients that were paid for.

Definitely dirty. Expect your shoes to stick to the floor. Went in to eat but quickly changed my mind. Foods probably just as dirty

I have been in Elkin/Jonesville for 2 weeks now doing a training course for my job. I have absolutely fallin in love with these two small towns everybody is friendly, kind and nice. So I went to the Sheetz expecting the same. However my experience was not that great. The cashier was rude to me and to the gentleman in front of me over a receipt. I tried not to let that hinder my opinion of the place over one incident. I came back again today ordered food and while the food was good, again the service was very poor. The cashier was rude! I smiled at her, I said I hope you have a good day and she said uhhu. I watched your manager talking down to a customer because they were having issues with the gas pump while the customer still remained polite and courteous your manager was absolutely horrific so all the places that I've in Jonesville and Elkin in the last 2 weeks I definitely would not recommend sheets to anyone!!

Unfortunately this Sheetz didn't give the best experience it could have. Bathrooms were not the cleanest. Ordered hotdogs and the buns were stale. Customer service was good though!

I'm a regular customer as is my wife. The one star is because this is the filthiest nasty Sheetz I've ever visited. They never pick up garbage outside or clean pumps. Garbage is usually overflowing onto the ground. I travel alot. I go to quite a few Sheetz. This is the dirtiest around by far. It really makes Elkin look bad.

I frequent this Sheetz location 1-2 times each week—always after midnight. Each time the service is polite & the food is fresh. I may have had to wait 15-20 minutes if there were cars ahead of me, but I never mind bc I know that Sheetz is a made-to-order establishment. If you want quick service, go to the newly opened Cook Out across the street where you will get food that’s been laying there for hours then dipped in hot grease to warm it up. Pitiful. Keep up the great job Sheetz! I’ll gladly wait for my fresh food. Tip: Try the mozzarella sticks w/marinara—yummy!

Tried to go thru drive thru as I had my baby in the car. I Sat at the drivethru for 18 minutes watched the cashier check out 9 people from onside and just glance over at me every once a while. Finally I lost my cool go inside and ask to speak to a manager the girl still doesn't say a word. The manager comes over doesn't apologize just tells me their busy! There's 3 people waiting in line inside. I said do you not rotate with the drice thru she's like we have to take care of people inside to I said mam these people haven't been waiting 18 miniotes there's 3 people in line!! Her response to that is well you should have just got your baby out and came inside like you just did. No apology no explanation for why they aren't serving there drive thru and still having it open. I just left and will not be using sheetz any longer. I get staffing shortages but no excuse for the way they handled that or acted after!!!

Sat in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes last night, gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe someone called in sick, maybe they were short staffed. Returned tonight, writing this review as I sit in the drive through line, currently sitting here for 30 minutes and there’s still 3 cars in front of me. Sheetz needs to rethink their drive through process, the plan in place is not working. Love everything about Sheetz , the stores are always clean and service is great, but the drive through always sucks!

Really Sheetz, E88 was $2.79 a gallon 2 days ago now $3.39 for both the regular grade and the blue handle E88,. 60 a gallon increase. We The People is where we choose to spend our $, gas is $3.05 a gallon in Boonville NC. It's worth it driving there with this gouging and inflation

I can't take it anymore. This is the worst sheetz I have yet to encounter. They are notorious for getting your order wrong. I have called and spoke to a manager who offered me free food coupons which I never picked up because I just want them to start doing their job. The daytime crews usually get it right.. not always but more than the night crew. It's become clear they just don't care. Everyone needs retrained here on customer service and how to do the job they're paid to do. I'm so over it. A loyal sheetz customer that will start going elsewhere.

The pump wouldn't give me a receipt so I had to go in. I waited in line for at least five minutes and another customer was behind me. While we were waiting someone walked in and another cashier helped him at another register instead of the next ones in line. The entire episode could have been avoided if the receipt tapes were being maintained. The manager should be fired!!

Sheetz is definitely a great stop, when buying gas and using your Sheetz card you get 3¢ off each gallon, every little bit helps. They also offer some pretty good food and lots of other things. I'm very happy they built a Sheetz in Elkin

I stop here for gas and the four dollar subs. But half the time my subs are wrong and trying to contact them in store is next to impossible. When you do get thru the accused us of ordering wrong rather than just apologize. I don’t ask for complicated things. Two meatball subs one white and one wheat. The only difference is in the wheat I ask for banana rings and they never get it right. So from now on I will order the banana rings on the side. Once they even put on some habernaro sauce and claimed it what I ordered.

It's a gas station. Stop expecting a five star restaurant with instant food. This isn't McDonalds. The person running the register also runs drive thru. It'll take time to get to you so instead of being lazy, use those legs for something other than a gas pedal.
