Great selection and friendly staff. There is not as much construction reclaimed items as the homes in Edenton keep their antique fixtures, wood, and cabinets. There is extra parking in the back if needed. Great cause, take the time to stop in and support them.

These folks really appreciate when you donate good items they can sell. They also like to get items that can be used when they refurbished old houses.

Really hated that the Habitat store closed in Elizabeth City, but believe in supporting their mission. This store in Edenton, NC is ok, but definitely needs a bigger building rather than using storage trailers; some of them are too dark to see what's really in them, & very hot this time of year. Parking is also difficult at times.If there's something specific you're needing or looking for, be there when they open for the best opportunities! Some of my experiences have been positive, & some not so positive. I understand that not all of those working there are paid employees, but even so, sitting there on your phone while completely ignoring customers is not representing the organization in an honorable manner. Nor is telling a customer "I don't know," or the vague "look in the back" brush off then walking away without making any effort to assist that customer.There are no public restrooms, & they are only open 3 days a week. If you're on a fixed income, know how to look for a good deal, & want to help support a worthwhile cause, then this is worth your time to check out. But if you can't tolerate the heat & humidity this time of year, either go early in the morning, wait until the cooler months, or shop elsewhere. I truly believe in their mission & the work they do for the people of all communities nationwide, but do not feel this particular store is a proper representation of the organization.

Tried to drop off several bags of clothes many were new. The store was closed and I did not see sign the said do not leave clothes if closed. I looked in store and knew it was open for business not out of business. I put six bags at front door and a man pulled up yelling at me not to leave clothes! He said did you read the sign to the left. I said no. He said he was the president of the habitat for humanity and yelled at me again to take these clothes. I apologize for not seeing sign and said I am trying to help people who need clothing. Sad there is not drop off bin!I have volunteered in other cities for the habitat. Felt very sad he was not willing to help me!What a president. Sorry to all the wonderful people who volunteer there. Edenton help get drop off boxes for donations!

Habitat for Humanity in Edenton performs a tremendous service for the Community. Under the leadership of AL, the crew is on time and efficient, often juggling the duties of the store and demands of pickup, with ease, patience and diplomacy -- not a small feat. Recently, I have been emptying the garage of a house I sold. As I have been primarily doing this by myself, I am particularly thankful to Al and his highly professional crew.

The volunteers are great but AL, the manager goes from being rude and unhelpful with some people to being very flirtatious with others. He, will also mark some items,not for sale if he doesn't want a certain person to buy that item.
