Mise well shut this place down. It is the most disgusting dollar general I’ve been to. Went up there today and they had ground beef laying behind the counter. It was fully defrosted and stunk so bad. The floors look like they haven’t been mopped in years, and the crew they have up there is very disrespectful and act like they don’t know what their doing.

It's not fancy, but it is an older store. They frequently have useful products marked down to make room for new stock. There is a lot of stock / variety in a fairly small space, but they do have to stay competitive and relevant. Having a lot of variety does make it convenient to shop locally. Some of the same staff has been there for many years, and are sincere, hard-working, friendly and down-home kind of people, genuinely nice folks. Because of the staff and the stock, I keep going back, there's always a friendly face and kind words whenever I enter, check out, and leave the store. The only reason it got four stars instead of five, it's because the store is kind of run-down, but I'd rather have it that way than have a big-time renovation and end up having to pay for it in the prices of the items.

This store has a lot of merchandise.Friendly staff even though you know they are working feverishly to complete store tasks. I feel bad for them, a busy store seems the associates don't have time unless it ringing customers out. No fault of theirs though it s clear this is a corporate drowning them with more merch than fits. Less is better folks its too much to shop from.

Most items are not stocked, things are in disarray. Don't ask if they have something, they will refuse to check the overstocked back room, which you can clearly see there are the items that have been there for days that need be stocked. If go after 6 pm, you can see employees sitting out front on their phones, talking and smoking, ( I am a smoker), not just one employee but all will be out there, while you stand in line waiting for one of them to come back in the store. No wonder people bag their items and walk out the door without paying. It is obvious, that someone is not meant to be in the management position. The only employee on Sundays, that is worth her pay, is the older woman who, always is stocking shelves and asked me if you need help finding something and she will be up front if she's see someone getting line.

Like most dollar generals, it is convenient. That is about all it's got going for it. The store has a dirty feel. There's never anyone at the checkout. When there is someone at the checkout, the only thing they say to you is the price. Customer service is definitely not their strong suit, it's not a very friendly place.

Pretty standard dollar general. Groceries, pet supplies, over the counter medicines, toys, some clothing, and other miscellaneous items. Sometimes the check out line can take a while due to crowds and sometimes the staff doesn't open the second check out line as quickly as you would think they should. However if you ask them for help they are usually very helpful.

Would be nice if they actually REQUIRED masks. I was the only person in the store actually wearing one.The cashier had a mask, but was wearing in under her chin! Not a COVID safe environment.

Not good. Lots of things placed in wrong places. Very unorganized. Feels dirty. Check out was a nightmare. Really long line with one check out person. Other employees walking around looking dumb while people in line talk about them doing nothing. I would be very imbarised to work there. Will not set foot back in that store.

With the exception of dg on Reynolda rd worst store ever! Not clean or well kept. You’d think being the only store around for miles they’d make a point to have stock on hand. The past 2 times I’ve went to buy tide the shelves are wiped out like they’re calling for snow in June, same is true on several items. Very irritating to have to make another trip somewhere else. The isles are junky and cluttered, employees standing around and the most irritating is never more than one register opened which would be understandable with the exception of late in afternoon when obviously people stop in after work. If it weren’t for the fact that there’s no other options in east bend I definitely wouldn’t go through the aggravation

I went to shop at this store on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 because I had a $5 coupon only redeemable on this date. When I got to the checkout I gave her the coupon and she applied it but during the transaction the register crashed.. cashier had to restart the register. My coupon cancelled out.

Love this Dollar General, its the first one I have been to that sold fresh fruit and vegetables. They removed the clothing section and focus more on the grocery sections. Awesome.

It's Dollar General. Maybe you'd prefer to go to another store, but you'd have to drive past three Dollar Generals to get to that other store. Possibly one is going up in your backyard right now. Even so, they don't charge you more for the convenience.

Store was nasty inside and out I could not walk between the aisles for clutter. 2 trash cans on the outside were running over and all the ground. Outside was very uninviting

I wish this wasn't the literal only store in East Bend. I absolutely hate shopping here. It's dirty as hell. Aisles covered in random product. Customer service is non existent. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

Just overall bad experience. As soon as I got home, I had to turn around & go back bc something wasn't rang up right. A lot of their prices are different for the same item & when you bring it to their attention they still wanna charge the wrong price. Such a mess up there.

Never fully stocked or staffed. You really need to get some kind of hiring system. Perhaps incentives (bonus for 90 days. )

Poorly keep store. Nothing in order. Poorly stoked. Check out is always slow. One employee at check out all others standing doing nothing. Long lines and people all complaining. Bad store.

The outside of store is trashy stuff thrown everywhere..inside is tight and cluttered. Trying to put too much products in too small of a place! Really needs some cleaning up.

This DG has been here a pretty good while. It has received uprades... There is another DG in the postal designation. TWO IN EAST BEND NC...$!!!!!SO!!!!! I have to applaud Dollar General on their marketing strategy. What I've seen on the market reports shows a " grocery desert" in that area.. DG hopped into that area.. You're stock is rockin'too!

This store has poor management. The store is never clean . Always racks of stuff everywhere...Now even the parking lot is always full of trash..This store needs help.!! Very disappointed!!
