If I could give this 0, I would. They are very slow to do anything. Drive thru will take 1+ hours even if there is only 1 or 2 cars ahead, you can wait inside and still expect to wait over an hour. If you try and call, youll likely be on hold for a long time, with 3 people ahead of me, I was on hold for 1.5 hours before hanging up. First time I transferred medications there, for 2 days, “they couldnt find it” even though it was in their queue the entire time. I would recommend going to any other Walgreens in the area.

I went to this location. I used the Walgreens app to clip coupons. However when I got to the register, none of the coupons appeared. The cashier (who appeared like he was still in high school) and store manager both could see my coupons clipped in the app. I was using the correct number attached to my account but did not receive any of the discounts. The manager actually said "I don't know what to do. This is only my 7th day here." How is she even the manager?? Why is she even telling me this like that's going to rectify this situation or make me understand. I am highly upset because the store personnel appeared useless. I already barely frequent Walgreens and it's for situations like this. The lack of knowledge, care, experience, basically everything made this a horrible experience for me. Go to the Walgreens off of Guess Rd!! Don't come to this location.

The bathroom, located a few feet from their MEDICAL CLINIC, was so disgusting, I regret getting my prescriptions filled here. The manager told me they clean it frequently (which wasn't evident by the trash on the floor) and that the horrible smell comes from the sewer and is the same in every shop in the strip (yet neither of the Duke clinics, right next door, have that odor). The paper towel dispenser hanging off the wall, damaged mirrors, floor stains, and the absence of air fresheners tells me Walgreens prefers letting their customers believe they have no basic hygiene standards over spending the small amount of money it would take to correct that perception. Noted.

One the THE worst pharmacy counters I’ve ever dealt with. You put your refill requests in via the app and they some how disappear ? App said something was wrong with my script and to call them. I call and remain on hold an hour. I drove there with them on hold and stood in line while on hold to find out NOTHING was wrong after all. I’ve been with Walgreens twenty plus years and have always been pleased. Not this location…

I have been coming to this Walgreens for more than three years and have never seen a clean bathroom. It was the nastiest it has ever been today. I’m pretty sure I got sick just opening the door.

Don’t go here if you need medication post discharge from the hospital! They are out of stock of things, understaffed, and incompetent.Got out of surgery same-day at 6:30 pm and needed pain medications for overnight. Prescriptions had been filled at another walgreens by accident and the woman at the front desk just said “no we can’t do anything just pay out of pocket or wait 14 days.” Then after 10 minutes of arguing with her she failed to communicate with the pharmacist that the prescription had been filled at another walgreens. After 10 minutes arguing with him, he said “oh they were filled at another walgreens?” YESS! Then they could fill them quickly in 2 minutes and no need to pay out of pocket. Meanwhile we were holding up the line because they were too dumb to efficiently figure out a situation where a prescription was filled out at another walgreens by accident. Of course they didn’t have the one of the pain medicines prescribed in stock , so I spent the first night after back surgery without sufficient pain medication.

This pharmacy never has enough staff. They do not answer their phones in a timely manner. They assure you your prescription will be filled promptly or give you a time frame and it won’t be done then. They are also frequently out of stock for the medicines I have needed.

Pharmacy tech visibly sick. Also over heard him tell the pharmacist how sick he was feeling. He was not wearing a mask. Since he wasn't wearing a maskI requested a mask for myself and they refused to give me one.

Please do not waste your time with this pharmacy. I arrived around 5:45pm to pick up a prescription sent from my doctor. Around 6:08pm, I finally made it to the front after 10 other people in line. I was told that my doctor had just sent it in. (My doctor closes at 5:30 so I am not sure how that happened, perhaps my doctor waited 30mins after closing to send it) They told me that it would be ready in 30 mins so I went to run an errand. I arrived back at the pharmacy around 7:20 (50 minutes after it was supposed to be ready) and was told that it still was not ready. Two other people are waiting on prescriptions that we’re supposed to be ready hours ago. As I am sitting here waiting for my prescription after another 25 minutes, I wanted to warn anyone that is thinking about sending their prescription here, to reconsider.

This is the first big corporate pharmacy that I’ve actually liked! I’ve been a regular at quite a few Walgreens and Cvs locations and this location always impresses me. The front staff is always nice and helpful. The pharmacy staff has gone out of their way multiple times to help me. I truly appreciate that. The wait sometimes can be a little annoying but I know most pharmacies are stretched thin these days so I understand.

I came in directly from my doctors office and lady at counter explained that they were working on it would be a few moments because they were working on it. 20 minutes later they still waiting.It was only 2 people in waiting areas! Extremely nonchalant here! Very disappointed in customer service!

I really don’t understand how it takes 3 business days to fill one prescription refill at this Walgreens location. It’s unacceptable. I’ve gone to pick up prescriptions and one was still in progress from TWO days ago and I had to wait for them to fill it. I work in healthcare, this is not okay.

The pharmacy here has been hit or miss, but typically has been able to get my Rxs correct eventually. One particular Rx always is an issue as I am enrolled in a patient assistance program so there is no copay and they always miss that and I have to have them research my account to verity. Today when filling this Rx at this location, as I have done dozens of times, after checking out and completing the transaction (at which point my Rx is officially 'picked up' in the system) I was told the pharmacist has a question before I can receive my Rx. At this point they are holding my Rx from me which I have all rights to possess. The pharmacist then asks about my address (which is correct and has been my address for the past 2 years) and "why don't you go to a store closer to you?" She said it was a red flag that 'the system' noted. I asked if this so called 'system' just went into effect today as I have never been asked about my address and have been getting this same Rx as well as others, at this location for well over 5 years. (I used to live closer and my office is still across the parking lot so it's convenient, which does not matter one bit and asking me why I am using this location was extremely accusatory). Obviously she suspected me of drug seeking, but the online history of my activities and Rxs refills would clearly show that not to be the case. And I'm pretty sure this 'system' that red flagged my address was her not knowing where the city I live actually is and looking it up on her own....but hey, maybe this system did go into effect on a Sunday afternoon, still lets the tech run the Rx through, and has the patient sign off that it has been picked up.......I would think the redflag would prevent that from happening, but maybe I have no understanding of what a red flag system is supposed to do!I will be taking her advice and transferring my Rx to a new pharmacy and it will not be a Walgreens.

Sooo, my daughter and I stopped into this location because we were already over there. We gathered up a few items along with a bottle of wine. I was looking at something else on the front line when the cashier asked if it was all together in which she said yes. The cashier then asked my daughter if she was 21, my daughter said no, mind you I was standing right there, the cashier proceeded to say that she had to ring the wine up separately and thar she needed both my ID and my daughters ID, I asked her why did she need my daughters ID, the cashier said that it was policy to ID both of us, eventhough I was the one buying everything. I said again why, she said it was policy to card both of us, needless to say I went to the back of store and asked for the manager. Another person came over, ( might have been a lead) and explained what had happened, she then called the actual manager. I proceeded to tell her the story again and asked to see this policy in writing as if you are carding everyone that is with a person who buys wine or beer, you would be carding every single person. I also told the manager about the attitude of the cashier. So the manager did say that it was NOT policy and as we were leaving, my daughter heard the lead manager that the cashier was right with what she said. Walgreens you need to train your employees on actual policy and customer service

Drive thru pharmacy was five carsDeep so went inside. Got in line - 4th spot. Line backed up to fifteen people while there over 15 minutes. Was told to come Back in twenty minutes for Rx. Came Back two hours later. Rx still not ready. Told to come Back in fifteen minutes. Came back thru drive thru after twenty minutes. Drive thru closed (7:20 pm). Went inside. Waited ten minutes before anyone came up to check. Rx stil not ready. Told rx could not be filled for two more weeks. Asked about last month’s refill and their light bulb went off that was the rx I asked for! Now waiting an additional fifteen minutes.I expect issues to come up but this is a National RX chain in a major urban area. Seems mismanaged if they can’t staff and train their pharmacy staff sufficiently to serve their customers.

The absolute worst. The service is ridiculous. They have four people behind the counter and customers are standing here for over 10 mins with no assistance. There are people saying "excuse me" and no one is responding or acknowledging the customers. Customers are literally walking out!

I would like to commend Steven, Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens at Hillandale Rd, Durham, NC for his extraordinary service. My wife admired his utmost patience in helping her to assist acquire a drug manufactorer's discount. Steven spent more than 15 minutes on the phone, being pass on to several extensions on the phone. With his supreme diligence, we were able to get the discounted price of the prescription medication. We would also like to thank the other staff who helped made this transaction possible. Kudos to y'all!Few months back:I know how important customer service is to an organization such as Walgreens. This is to commend Howard, the Pharmacist at Hillandale Rd, Durham. Every month, a prescription refill of my son requires a form to fill out by a pharmacist in order to get a drug company coupon discount. Howard has not failed to assist us in this regard. He is always very pleasant, kind, patient, and above all, very professional. My wife & I, are very grateful of his exceptional customer service!

I was told to wait 20 mins... and waited... all people ahead of me waited also but then i was the only one left... went to the front, ask for my prescription, told me to wait another 10 mins because she will reprint it... in total i was at the store wasted an hour waiting... just saying...

Slow, uncaring. Went in with a script for an epipen and a child visibly in the early stages of anaphylaxis. Looked right him and said “it’ll be ready in an hour”. Literally just needed to grab the box of “life saving juice” off a shelf. Walgreens, in general, has embarrassingly poor automation

I went for my flu shot yesterday and not only was it painless, in every way but I am immune suppressed and the pharmacist ran down the info that allowed me to get my COVID booster today. And once again it was painless. She was so nice and gives a great shot!

Service was so bad in the pharmacy, I had to move to another location in Durham. It wasn’t much better and I ended up leaving Walgreens completely for my prescriptions.

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. They are the nicest, sweetest people, and they really go out of their way to help their patients. Meer and Sally in particular are just fantastic. They're super knowledgeable, they remember their patients, and they actually care about the people they help. Meer always looks out for me and helps me get the best deal possible on my medications, and Sally just called me to check up on me -- just to make sure I was okay on the new meds! They really go above and beyond in every way. If Walgreens corporate ever gets ahold of this review, give these two a raise and some kind of distinguished service award, because they are without a doubt the best pharmacists I have ever had.

I was having a panic attack I received the prescription from right next door 🚪 I want to apologize for how I acted at first I was upset that they had to get a prior authorization but after we got that straight he even paid for the prescription! Your store location sits right next to Duke urgent care and across the street from TWO VA clinics. All of the sudden you do NOT accept Veterans insurance. I have a slipped disc in my back. I am in an extreme amount of pain. But I’ve now had to forego another day without meds because you didn’t accept my insurance and asked me to pay $200. I’m a combat disabled veteran. I am now awaiting the VA to fill my prescription as I remain in extreme pain. Thanks Walgreens!!! You will never get my business again.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. The front if store people are fine, but I wouldn't trust pharmacy staff to sit the right way on a toilet seat! They are inconsiderate, and blissfully unaware of what a crappy job they are doing. They wasted 30 minutes of my time dealing with a customer in their drive thru, when the real solution was to ask the customer to come into the store. And yes, I would have calmly driven around her and left....If I didn't have 4 CARS BEHIND ME.

This is the most frustrating pharmacy I have ever had to deal with, I can’t stand the pharmacy manager. Completely rude on the phone, impatient, gives out incorrect information, I have an issue EVERY SINGLE MONTH, I actually get anxiety when calling because of how rude this man is, and how he treats me and my medications as if they don’t matter. I have had to go around with these people time and time again, this man try’s to dictate and control while giving false information, not ordering things in on time and instead of being upfront so I can have my doctor find a pharmacy that has what I need plays games, and I find myself without and chasing down the truth and my doctor and a new pharmacy to fill my medication that I have to have. So not only is he completely rude but he can’t do his job right, this isn’t a game people need things on time he is a manger he knows this, instead of lying and making your customers sick and waiting why don’t you do the right thing and send them to another pharmacy just be straight forward and kind. It’s unreal. The rest of his staff is kind but it seems that everything goes through him so in the end his bad attitude and dealings of things out weighs the good of the team he’s the rotten apple and needs some training on how to talk to people respectfully and not allow people to have a go around with the doctors ect. Who are busy and don’t always have the time once the appointment is over to sit and deal with people like him Also one time he didn’t fill one of my prescriptions all the way, and I pay CASH for everything as I don’t have insurance, so I paid full price for a full script that he only gave me a half of? Who does that? How does that work? when I went back and brought it up he processed to argue with me until I told him to check his cameras which he ended up doing then I had to go back once again chasing him down to find out what was going on and infact they somehow “made a mistake and only filled half” ... they saw it on the camera, gave me the other half after days of back and fourth he finally got it right and said sorry I don’t know what happened. YES YOU DO YOU SAW IT ON CAMERA? Now that seems a bit strange and has never happened at ANY pharmacy I’ve ever been to. It’s just so frustrating, to have a pharmacy such as Walgreens be such a disappointment all because of one person. I hope by next month I am able to get everything fixed and find a new place to go... which sucks but here we are. Thanks so much.

After getting fed up with CVS on Carver, I decided to give Walgreens a try especially since they are located next doo to Duke Urgent Care. They were busy and I was expecting to wait at least an hour like I have at CVS in the past. I was pleasantly surprised that I was in and out in 10 minutes and that included them filing my insurance and filling my RX. I found everyone to be very friendly and the store was very clean( I think its a newer store) Will def be using again!
