The Boutique is operated by a top Avian Doc who updated me at the end of every day. She's been home and happy for some time and I wouldn't entrust her care to anyone else.

We were referred here by our regular Avian vet for an immediate need surgical procedure. Drove from Fayetteville to them and it was completely worth the drive! They were ready and waiting for us and had us in and out in maybe 30 minutes. Highly recommend for service, price and friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Burkett has saved the life of my companion bird, an 18 year old Blue and Gold. Beaufort devolved a localized but nasty infection that did not respond well to topical antibiotics. Surgery was necessary to remove the abcess. Dr. Burkett provided compassionate and professional care that led to complete recovery and good health. I was welcomed in to observe the surgery and all my questions were answered during the proceedure. We have had to deal with a squamous cell carcinoma since then. Dr. Burkett again took care of my bird in an exceptional manner. It is well worth the over two hour drive to get this kind of care.

Had been thinking about switching due to the very long drive and my proximity to other exotic vets but the service Dr. Burkett provides is simply unmatched. The cost of the yearly exams is fully worth the thoroughness and expertise he provides and dr burketts willingness to discuss any concerns you have over the phone before even scheduling an appointment is a life saver when you have multiple birds.

I love this place! Everyone is so polite. They are very knowledgeable. They don't oversell. They have very reasonable prices on toys. They have premium brands of foods I switched my bird to. They have everything you need for all size birds. On top of that I love their store birds who will sometimes greet you with a "Hello" when you walk in!If you are looking for boarding this is the place! I boarded my Elon for a week here. When I got back he didn't seem like he wanted to leave. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.

I buy my parakeet's food here. The price is very reasonable, and the staff is super nice. My only complaint is that sometimes they are closed when I go there, so check the hours before you go. I plan to take Skye here when she needs vet care. I live in the neighborhood, and I appreciate how they took a historic house on the corner and restored it. Good parking. Great selection of parakeets in the big, open-air area in the back of the house. My kids really love to watch them.

His knowledge and passion for all avian kind are presented within a patient, gracious and kind demeanor. I highly recommend bringing your bird(s) to him, even if it's a bit of a drive. Dr. Burkett saved both our chickens. He is so nice, helpful, and caring. He helped our one chicken during a bad case of bumble foot and our second chicken was recently attacked by a raccoon. He performed an amazing emergency surgery on her the day of the incident. She is back home and we can’t thank him enough for all he’s done. Thank you and of course we HIGHLY recommend! Previous clerk was very nice and always willing to help, although she has moved away, this is still the best place i have found to purchase my bird supplies. Vast selection of food, toys, cages and etc. Best part is that they have avian vets onsite. As well as other uncommon pets.

I have used Dr. Burkett for about 10 years. With 70 birds at my sanctuary at one point... Dr. Burkett's knowledge is above all the rest. Whether you are going for a check-up, boarding, or for the ever dreaded illness that couldn't be avoided, he cares. Dr. Burkett will NOT take your bird in another room and treat it behind closed doors. You know whats happening to your bird at all times.

I love the Birdie Boutique! It stocks the bird foods and treats I like at the lowest prices around. They also sell in bulk (e.g. a 25-lb bag of RoudyBush pellets), which makes it even more of a bargain. The clerks are very helpful and friendly. And the best part just might be that there are always lovely birds in the store!
