I have been coming here for years now and got turned down because the rabies wasn’t up to date. I told them I’d go and get the copy from home and come right back but that wasn’t good enough. I forgot to take a picture of the vaccination before I came. So one of my dogs got cut but not the other. This will be the last time I bring my dogs here. They have no care in the world about inconveniencing you or trusting their customers who’ve been long time customers! If it wasn’t for my address being listed on the vaccination record I would upload it to this review. I’ve had enough of coming to this location. The last review I removed because I was trying to be nice but this is it for me.

I would not recommend coming to this store for grooming. They are inexperienced and obviously never dealt with a pet that gets excited. They called me 5mins upon leaving to tell me that they could not service my dog because he had the wiggles. Of course i picked my dog up with so many concerning questions because they didn’t even bathe him but placed him on the cutting table which is odd. I thought you were supposed to bathe the dog then trim and etc.. they also said that he has a record of having the wiggles but was never reported to me before. I let them know that he was nipped in the nose in January at a different location on my booking information. I feel veryInconvenienced and this could have been avoided by a phone call if they could not handle it. I legitimately drove 40mins to this location to leave with a dog that isn’t groomed and the Lead Groomer did not show any compassion. Also, while waiting for my dog there was a dog being groomed and the groomer literally hit the dog and was cursing at him.According to the reviews I’m not the only who has experienced this. I have called corporate and should hear back from the district manager soon.

Was the first time using this location but will be my last! First I was not even greeted when I walked in other than a very rude lady behind the desk came out and said I need to clean up this pee from the floor! I was never acknowledged and then when she finally started to help me she acted as tho I was stupid because I told her max was always put into the dryer box and she said we do not put yorkie in the dryer box! I said well they did at his previous PetSmart and I went on to let her k ow it was ok to muzzle if necessary and she was like we don’t muzzle yorkies! By this point I was furious but kept my cool! JB was the only friendly one there but I left max for over an hour beyond his appt and got a call that they couldn’t continue with him because he was too anxious! Same non courteous attitudes when I came to pick him up! The one lady a little heavier set lady was very rude and I won’t be coming back!

If I could leave zero stars I would, the Petsmart on Renaissance pkwy is our favorite location but unfortunately they were completely full for grooming appointments. As soon as my mother walked into the North Point location they started with excuses, her shot record wasn’t in their system, has she ever been here before, she’s a little hyper to keep her until her appointment time and the last and best excuse I got when I called to ask what the issue was, the lady on the phone said that my dog wouldn’t stay still on the grooming table. Surprising because my dog has been getting groomed at Petsmart since I got her 5 years ago, and we’re members at Banfield Pet Hospital (located inside Petsmart). I couldn’t remember why I stopped taking my dogs to this particular location, but this morning was a reminder of just how unprofessional and messy they are. I would definitely not recommend their grooming services to my worst enemy!

Most of pets mart staff is great including ban-field attached you them. Prices are pretty comparable now and the inventory always seems to be stocked.What I am upset with and seems like a common issue here are the groomers. I have a German Shepard that is a bit timid but very submissive because she came from an abusive home and over the last year or two she has livened up so much! She finally wags her tail and is very social. Even before she started opening up I’ve taken her to multiple banfields and groomers in MI (banfields great here) and 3 here in durham but this specific location it always seems like there’s an issue so now we’re informed we need to get her professionally bathed because the first time she didn’t like the dryer which I could understand, the next time she didn’t like water, and now she doesn’t like the clippers....... so being annoyed I put her on a leash and connected to the fence so she was easy to work with and she gave me no issues other then walking around a bit because she didn’t enjoy being that wet. I understand she will be a bit better with her owner but still odd this is the only groomer to have an issue. By no means am blaming any of the workers because I’m not there but something just doesn’t feel right with the situation. They were nice and didn’t charge me for a nail trim but told me they couldn’t do her anymore.

Everything needed for a pet and more. Of course the more including pet adptions, grooming and what I went for the veterinarian service. They were great with my 15yr old Snoopy, who's scared of his own shadow. Also, had a plan allowing me to pay out the services, something a lot of vets won't let you do. Yes the store itself carries the high end of the pet world needs but if you browse around with for your best friend or with your pet on its leash, it may just pick out a chewy or you that would make a happy pet for a day.

They are so nice here! They have a great selection of anything I need for my dog. My dog even picked out his own toy and carried it around the whole time we were shopping. They ask if they can give a treat at checkout which i think is sweet! I haven't been to Banfield inside there yet, but I will be making a wellness appointment for my new dog

Very helpful staff and always well stocked. I am not always sure of the products my pets need and the staff here are always able to help. I especially appreciate the discounts available. Store is clean and well maintained

This location is a decent size conveniently located. Its next to the new Haris Teeter that just opened, next to Home depot and Costco. It has a good selection to choose from for all your pet needs. This location offers training classes as well for your dogs and puppies. They have frequent adoption events on the weekend as well. Theres a Banfield pet hospital inside and a groomers as well. Their fish selection is fairly large as well as the rodent and reptile section.

I had scheduled a grooming date for my dog, Willow, with Pet Smart of Durham for Thursday, 9/21/23.  I filled out the online application on Tuesday, 9/19/23 which had several questions regarding what type of dog she is and if she is up-to-date with her vaccinations (she is) and if she has heartworm (she is just finishing up her meds for the heartworm and is practically heartworm free, as per her last vet exam in August).  Now I have to preface this with the fact that she has been to this Pet Smart twice before with no problems and our veterinary had informed us that her condition was not contagious The appointment was for 12 noon on the 21st.We arrived a little early and so my wife was in the car with Willow, while I brought the paperwork (vaccination info) in to check her in and to see if they could accept her a little earlier.  The woman looked up our info on her computer and told me they couldn’t take Willow in because she has heartworm.  I was shocked and told her that we have never had a problem before.  She had no explanation, and was pretty cold about it.  I asked her why I wasn’t notified sooner about this (since they had my application 2 days prior) and she couldn’t answer that either.

I was in this store over the weekend The shelves were stocked and there was not tons of inventory waiting to be stocked on the floor. There is nothing worse then squeezing through isles I had the pleasure to interact with Jennifer in the small animals section. I was so impressed with her knowledge and foremost her patience. She answered all of my questions without acting rushed! Good job on this one Petsmart!

Been going here for years. Booked an appointment for grooming for my dog 5 days prior to my wedding, my dog was turned away because I requested that he not walk on the tile floor since he has hypertension on his front leg and it is painful for him to walk on hard surfaces. We were declined service based on this request.

My dog had an appointment for grooming. The groomer who was to cut her didn't feel comfortable because my dog was darkind and growling (Normal behavior).As I stated to her that my dog doesn't bite but because she was barking and growling she didn't feel comfortable grooming my dog. So she canceled the appointment. My problem is she didn't even try. Once Im out of her site she a good dog. My dog has never been an issue or has she bit anyone. She just said nope I don't feel comfortable. It was a waste of my time and very disappointed. Will not pick this groomer never again. She is not good with dogs. She also stated that there had been a dog bite earlier that week so she came off as being scared.

I'm giving this PetSmart a 1 star out of five stars due to the fact there was a really vicious rottweiler in their store. The dog lunged at me, my husband and child growling and barking. Apparently we were not the only ones the dog came after while in the store as other people were complaining about it as well. This PetSmart should have handled the dog situation a little bit better. The employees kept going as if it was nothing going on. I feel like there should be some type of policy to where if your dog is aggressive they should at least be muzzled. will not take my child back into this PetSmart ever again.

Completely unprofessional and used disrespectful/inappropriate language while talking about our dog. The staff member seemingly in charge was very rude and aggressive saying "your dog had a mental breakdown" and "your dog tried to commit suicide". Our dog experienced heightened anxiety and panicked, trying to get off the grooming table in part due to her natural fear of the space she was in and in part due to another dog uncontrollably barking at her. This we are not upset with, we recognize things happen and that we have an anxious dog (however she has been groomed by multiple other non-pet smart groomers successfully & safely). What we are upset by is the language and attitude directed towards us when we came to pick her up. We will no longer be shopping at Pet Smart and would not advise anyone to have their dog groomed here.

ZOE works for BANFIELD PET IN PET SMART. She was the BEST PART OF MY VISIT. I told her what MY VET SAID I NEEDED & she took her time to walk me to exactly what I needed. She has knowledge of where everything was. AND ZIPPEDY DO DA; in 15 minutes I was all set with what I needed. THANK YOU ZOE. YOU ARE A TREASURE FOR THOSE YOU WORK FOR.

Crystal W. is the most unprofessional groomer in the salon. I've been taking my dog there for 2 years and all of a sudden she was "uncomfortable" grooming him and didn't even try. The supposed manager "tried" to groom him but didn't fully cut his hair yet still charged me. Where are the quality groomers?

Didn't have what I was looking for. Wanted a beta fish but the only had 1...and it looked like it was on it's last fin. Several tanks with a bunch of dead fish at the bottom of the tank. Felt like if I bought a fish it would just die and I just didn't feel like the back and forth...so No fish.

Store has TONS of great stuff for every type of pet! Only downer was the guy assisting getting me 3 little fish for my kitty's fish tank was rude -- he didn't want to be there. Maybe he was having a bad day
