What a cool place! They make delicious mead and have a selection of other local beverages available, including a large non-alcoholic selection. They also have an amazing library of board and card games to enjoy. I look forward to my next visit!

Friendly place with festive decor and nice community atmosphere!Bring the dogs, the kids, anyone at all will feel welcome here. The homemade mead is delicious and they have a large selection of beverages in the bottle shop area. There is no kitchen, but you are welcome to bring your own food and area restaurants are plentiful. The meadery hosts events such as live music, trivia, comedy shows, and games nights, so there is always something going on. Check it out for your next fun outing!

I was so excited to have tripped over this meadery. We are from out of town visiting and dropped in for a flight. The owner was super friendly and the mead is some of the best I've had! They have a cool atmosphere with games, open mic nights and a big selection of NC beers to go or for enjoyment on premises. If you like mead, this is a must visit. Can't wait until next time I'm in town to stop by again!

Good selection of north carolina beer. And meade for the LARPing imbibers. Sundays is open Mike music, amps for electric guitar most people do acoustic. 630 sign up 7 PM usually start. Cellos, banjos, poetry, stand-up comedy, moth radio hour workshopping as it were. In a historic durham underground location. Historic in that open mics have been going on there predating the meadery.

I checked out their ‘Collab on fire’ event for a fun and engaging painting experience. Ken was friendly and showed me the ropes. There were fire performers which I always love to watch over some sick tunes. Note you’ll need to walk down the stairs, through the indoors to the patio at the back. The Brazilian folk art music the same night was lovely too. I got a glimpse while walking through. Note, Collab on fire is next to a large dumpster. You might get some odors if the wind blows by it. I’d like to check out their ballroom dancing events too, at some point. I really like the vibe of this place.

A welcome addition to Durham's cultural scene. In the historical location that served as an alternative art incubator in the late 80s and early 90s. Offering mead (honey wine) made on-site. Hosting a variety of social events, including live music, comedy showcases, rpg events and more.DOGS WELCOME.You are welcome to bring food in with you. There are nice restaurants an easy walk down the sidewalk.Locally owned inclusive and affirming family business.

The biggest issues was after going in we were informed we had to pay a head charge for the dance class we were not going to participate in...or leave......not interested in returning. Insanely cool local brewery and venue. Listen to great music, drink great mead. Lots of space, lots of great art. A local lynchpin and a must visit location. They're working on a Mango mead I'm going to have shipped to me as soon as it comes out. Owner is extremely chill and cares deeply about people enjoying their time in Durham. Genuine local gem.

This is an absolute gem in Durham. The meads are all excellent, and there's a great variety of flavor. There are several different profiles to choose from, from dry to fruity to the traditional honey sweet.There are also excellent events here in the evening: board games, karaoke, even live dance music on Friday nights.The service is friendly and welcoming. Overall an excellent spot. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite bar in Durham. It’s quirky, it’s wonky, it’s fun. The mead and beer selection is great, the people who own/work here are greater!One time I came here for karaoke night and I left with the biggest smile and a bunch of new friends. Another time I came here and I met 6 dogs. Another time I came here and I met a guy who makes clay sculptures. I highly recommend if you like relaxed, inclusive places with good vibes!

This place is awesome. My wife found it while looking for date night activities, and it turned out to be a definite go-to spot! Kenneth and Derrick are really friendly and make a killer mead. The beer selection is solid and still growing. They even welcomed some suggestions for local beers that I’d love to see on their shelves (Bhavana, Trophy, and Walker Brothers’ Kombucha)! We will definitely be coming back to explore more of their incredible board game inventory.

Moon Dog Meadery and Bottle Shop is an awesome place to relax and unload your mind. There is a wide selection local brews, and an incredible selection of games. It is a great place to get to know others or relax with yourself. I also love the variety of nightly events. I live 3 hours awy, but hope to come back multiple times!

Great selection of North Carolina beer and mead, and a fun array of North Carolina wine to boot. They've got their own stuff brewing in vats in the middle of the room. It's a really wonderful space, with lots of big tables, a massive collection of board and card games to play with friends, fun mural artwork, and really friendly and knowledgable owners.Great place to pick up some bottles to go, or to hang out with friends in a laid back, fun space.

Great spot and vibes! First time trying mead - so yummy! They have a wonderful selection of local beers, ciders, and wines. You can get alcohol to-go or buy individual cans to consume on the premises. Love that it’s bring your own food and dog-friendly!

While the mead is good, the vibes are so off. One of the co owners was physically aggressive with his husky, which was awful to witness. They also decided to host a trivia and game night simultaneously which was chaotic. Would not go back. It’s a hot loud basement

I attended karaoke night here recently and I was so impressed! The dj was great and had tons of songs to choose from. What really stood out to me was how friendly, welcoming and supportive everyone was. It was my first time trying karaoke and I’ll definitely be back!

What a cool spot! Went on Friday, brought some food from a local restaurant, drank their house mead and NC selection beer, and played some board games. The vibes and decor were really great and the owner was super friendly. They just opened up but I can already tell this is going to be a super fun hang out spot for me and my friends!

A really nice spot! The space is huge, don't be fooled by how it seems from the outside. Staff are super nice. Stop by and taste the mead, it's very good!!!! There's also a bottle shop and tons of room to hang out and play board games.
