I walked into the deli on Wednesday, aiming for a sub. There was James, standing behind the counter. I greeted him; he approached the counter, and I awaited a response. But nothing came. He just quietly, and slowly, donned his gloves, maintaining eye contact. That's when I thought, "Should I skip the pleasantries and place my order?" So, I did—after an odd, one-minute staring contest.Throughout the sandwich-making process, I paid close attention to his mouth, wondering if he was just quiet and I wasn't listening closely enough. Turns out, he was speaking—in the loosest sense of the word. He barely opened his mouth; you'd miss it if you blinked, wouldn't hear it if you breathed. It was hilarious yet super weird.The sandwich was fire, but now I'm torn: do I return for another laugh at James's expense, or avoid the deli to escape the super awkward encounter?

Store was being stocked because I was there extremely early in the morning. However everyone spoke and was very nice. Didn't mind me shopping around. The deli and bakery had a wonderful selection. Meat was very nice cut. Cashier was very friendly. One suggestion please turn on your cash register light so I can figure out which one to go too. Want sure where to check out and she was helping with something so not immediately at the register. But this store was great. Wish we had one where I lived.

Great location! It is clean and well organized. The produce is fresh and easily accessible, quite the variety too. You can purchase wine and beer at this location, pretty much anything you need. The staff was very friendly and I am pleased with my shopping experience.

I came in to get items for taco Tuesday and everything was in stock! I deterred and got me a frappe from Starbucks and Javon is absolutely amazing! He is so much more than just a barista but a wonderful person all around from just talking with him for 5 short minutes! Great job Harris teeter for having him on your team!

One of worst customer experience I had. Grocery person will not acknowledge anymore, does not respond, completely ignoring anyone that approach and looks the other way. Customer service person is upset that someone needed help.

New Harris Teeter in what had long been a Kroger location. Nice store and what would be expected from a HattisTeeter. I was a little surprised it was not further upgraded from the Kroger which was an older store, but it has the higher quality products and service expected from HT with its higher prices. It does have gas and also has an instore Stsrbucks.

Great haul today! Discounted oyster mushrooms and also Portobello caps! My favvie... $5 Friday SUSHI rolls. Shout out to $5 half cake FRIDAY! And the way that they announce in the store is fun along with tiny samples of cake. This is becomming my weekly ritual visit.God bless America and God bless the bakers for preparing a tray of vanilla canolis WITHOUT extra chocolate chips!!!! It's the little things!

I find it incredibly strange that you have an armed guard here to combat theft, having a third party security team that's armed with hi-points(a very cheap gun) is dangerous and racist, seeing as I never saw this at the 3 stores I worked at during my time with the company. This is not for safety and is a very dangerous way to protect assets. Do better.

Plenty of parking available. Very clean inside. Very pleasant shopping experience. We went through the self checkout and it was able to accept cash. However, it wasn't accepting it at that time and we had to end up getting a person to take the cash. He was a very helpful fellow.

I normally do not write reviews, but this is the second time that one of your employees went above and beyond to help me. This young man was not only polite and extremely patient while helping me, he was also very funny with his New York accent. Please thank Bobby (from the meat department) for his awesome job. He made my shopping experience an absolute pleasure.

Solid produce and consumer packaged goods for sale. Just stay away from their prepared food...they are all terrible. If you are student make sure to register your VIC for students discounts; 5-10% on top of the VIC savings.

Large and varied selection of quality fresh fruits and vegetables plus good selections of canned, boxed items and fresh and frozen meats, seafood. The employees I encountered were all friendly and very helpful. The store is well organized, extremely clean and shelves were all well stocked. Parking is free and ample with good night lighting.

I love HT, always fresh, always kind. I went this morning and the the cashier and helper were arguing each other, Christian and Shala, about the bags, they didn’t greet or say anything to us while we there. Feel so bad for the service but I know is not everybody in HT. This review is for them not for the store:)

Service from the seafood market, cashier and the Floor clerks was awesome! They not one only told me where to find the items, they walked me to it. The cashier was patient, friendly and helpful. I'm from NY and we dont get that type of service. They sell quality goods but if I'm honest alittle bit expensive. 4oz lobster tails $11.99 each is just plan ridiculous and the week before it was $3.99 each. How do you justify that? I needed them so I had no choice since I didn't want to go to another store. But my over all experience its once or twice a year when I want to treat my family so I'm satisfied.

This location could have got a five star however one of their associates is really made it bad for them. When I walked in the associate was very welcoming and very live about their sale for the day. the other associates was very friendly and nice especially to my little one. The store was very clean very neat and easy to find things. however when I got to the Starbucks counter I had a coupon for a few free Starbucks coffee however after I scan my coupon and it didn't work the assistant just stood there. So I paid and I mentioned to her that the coupon was for a free coffee she proceeded to then say "oh yea we don't accept those." No empathy at all. Would've been beneficial to know that before I paid. You guys might wanna teach the young girl some customer service skills.

I don't go to Harris Teeter much a little pricey for their selection but when you need to go they got good organics I don't use any other food bars they just too picked over just to be honest but yeah it's quick convenient and there's a million of them

Store is always clean and bright. Aisles are clearly marked and well stocked. Not much you'd be looking for you can't find. Keep an eye out for the sales tags, that's where you find the really good prices. If a regular customer, sign up for fuel points. Great program.

Nice neighbourhood store for fresh produce. Pizza here is so unexpensive and delicious. Hats off to pizza guys in the store. Loyalty program is a hit. Prices are best here. The broccoli salad my husband eats is only available here, that too at a good price.It's my go to store everytime I am in need of anything.

It is one of the many Harris teeter in Durham. It is like the cheaper but still good version of target. Stores are huge and you will find everything here. This one specifically gives 5 % student discount and all Harris teeter have VIC card system that gives you a little extra discount.

Omfg when I tell you that this guy at your store was scratching his nuts out in public then picking his nose. Dodging in between cars. There's no WAY he didn't see us watching him. Please for the love of god wipe down y'all carts! Because he did not wash his hands before bring all those carts back in. 🤮😷

My fav supermarket down in the south! Nice selection and presentation. Staff is all helpful. Forgot my wallet and couldn’t complete self-checkout (they don’t have Apple Pay); cashier Jackie who was watching the self checkout area skillfully directed me and my order to a different counter so I wouldn’t block other customers who want to pay with self checkout for too long while I wait for someone to come over and pay for me.

I shop here for a lot of, from fresh vegetables and fruit and meats and cheeses! They are more expensive to me than Wegmans. I love that the are in my community and I can walk 20 mins there and 20 mins home! Everyone is friendly coming and going in and out of the store. I really like the have Starbucks in there store too.

Excellent Harris Teeter! And the pharmacy staff is superb, especially Olga. Always friendly, helpful, and just nice! We have never had issues here and the only time we had some steaks that were bad, they refunded us the FULL PRICE, not the sale price that we bought them for. You can't get much better than that.One issue that I have is that this area is notorious for bad cell phone connection for some reason on Verizon and combine that with poor wifi implementation and it makes it impossible to call home or keep a shopping list updated. Overall, a 5 star experience!
