I have shopped in Harris Teeter many times. most of the products are quite good. Their produce is sometimes good and sometimes looks awful, especially lettuce. When they have brown lettuce out and i ask them if they would bring out fresh they have told me several times that it came in like that. They should have rejected the delivery! Not try to sell us junk like that.I've attached 3 pictures of a chicken that I recently bought at Harris Teeter. It was called farmers focus organic chicken. And it was $3.99 a pound, and for $20, I expected it to be better than it is. I was extremely disappointed. There were feathers in a number of places still attached. There was a wing that was broken that should have been condemned. It had a large bruise and the bone was sticking out. I had to cut it off and throw it away. The skin around the breast was cut so that one of the legs was just hanging down to the side.So, for $4 a pound. I expect the quality to be way better than that. I could have paid $1.29 and maybe gotten better quality.I wish I could get a refund 😕. Very disappointed 😞

I love the fact that they open at 6am and the staff is so friendly, and it's always a pleasure shopping there it's So peaceful. It's way better than that food Lion around the corner. NO SHADE but the store is way cleaner the produce is fresher MORE variety of Food i haven't found a expired product at all so i mean. You can tell the managers and the staff take pride in how that store looks it's AMAZING!!!!!!! 😺 😁

As someone who was employed here and an avid customer afterwards, I can honestly say that Harris Teeter and this store in general is a great brand and place to shop for all grocery needs and other products that would surprise you as well.For VIC Members, there are deals in almost every department. Once I actually saw "buy two get three free" deals on various items as well as deals on steaks and various other meats. Speaking of various items, their aisles are decked out with items I don't normally see in other stores.Managers like Levis and employees like Darrell really do a great job and make customers as well as employees feel welcome and proud to be there.Its unfortunate sometime the things I would hear around deli which would be only one of the main issues I had with going there but overall a great experience.

Wow, this is my first time in a HT in a very long time and I was absolutely shocked at how much more expensive it was to shop there than Food Lion, Walmart and even Publix! Before going, I also decided to download their app and sign up for their “store savings card” - the app is super difficult to navigate, I was unable to use mobile payment at checkout and I was frustrated by the amount of time it took upfront to load coupons…. Plus they limit you to only “clipping” 150 coupons on the app.I did not have a good experience at all and will probably not return.

This is a great grocery store for everyone. They have a great selection and good prices if you become a VIP member. One of the things they are known for is their sub deal. You can get a sub, bag of chips, and a drink for only $6.48. You would be really surprised at how good the sub is because it is very good. I have heard their sushi is really good also. But Harris Teeter is a great store all around.

Great store. Frequent sale items make prices more affordable. Has a pharmacy with great staff.Bathrooms are always clean and functional.Has an ATM, lottery vending machine and a cell phone drop machine.Butcher area is well stocked and clean. No smells. Salad bar and deli also have ready-to-eat meals like subs, wraps, sushi, fried chicken, etc. Store was remodeled about 4 years ago, so very clean and modern.

Not bad, not the best. Other HTs in the area have more selections. I was really thinking when Kroger closed, and they refurbished the store as HT that it would be similar to the one at Erwin Square in Durham.Something about this HT and the Kroger before is the meat and fish counter always smells so strong.

An ongoing issue I’ve run into at this specific location (Pharmacy only) are the extremely rude and unprofessional staff behind the counter. The pharmacists and their techs. I changed my pharmacy location because of their consistent poor attitudes & uncalled for remarks.

WHITE PEOPLE *Beware*🦒 🦐🐒🐎🐀🐈 I went to this store casually just to shop as I was being watched the whole time at self check out meanwhile the white lady right next to me didnt ring up a single item (stealing) a they ignore her and watched me all they way out of the door didnt even mind her. And it smells inside of there.

This Harris Teeter is a great store to shop at. Shelves are always stocked. Floor is always clean and the bathrooms are always kept clean. My experience shopping here has always been positive. Keep up the good work!

The store is always kempt, clean and organized. But the STAR of the "show", so to speak, is Justin in the deli department. Made us the absolute best wraps and with such enthusiasm! Great personality, he is a GEM!

If you have the option to choose any other grocery store to go to, do. I was so excited when they built this location since it is close to my house but they have been nothing short of a complete disappointment through every experience. First off, I was always impressed with the location down the street (Guess road) when it came to their express lane pick-up orders. This location must have a difficult time finding decent employees. I have ordered ahead from them numerous times now hoping for a better experience than the one before. The first time they called to list everything they were out of. When I asked what substitutions they offered their response was “you want a substitution?”. Yes, that is what my profile clearly indicates. The second order I placed included the Harris teeter brand Cole slaw. When I got home, I realized the one they gave me was already opened (plastic hanging and all). When I spoke with the manager he didn’t seem too concerned but was at least polite. The last and final experience was today when I placed an order for pickup between 6-6:30. When I arrived at 6:46 the woman informed me they were behind and she could maybe get it done in thirty minutes if she skipped someone. Why would you not call and let your customers know that? What was worse was that she didn’t even apologize. I asked to cancel the order and she said “okay bye.” I will never give this store my business again.

The store is very clean and organized. The majority of the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Stocked with the items that I need most. HOWEVER! If you need assistance from the fresh meat counter good luck!!! Came in early morning and needed just a few things the gentleman behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude!!!! He quickly pointed out that they were NOT open yet and responded as though he was annoyed that I had only asked the price of an item. Will definitely go elsewhere if I need anything from the fresh meat counter!!!

The layout isn't much different than the old Kroger that used to be here but everything is much nicer looking and better spaced. The staff was extremely competent and observant from what I noticed. Do note that this has a reverse layout for many Harris Teeters, with produce on the left moving towards frozen's on the right. I should also mention that their pharmacy and cooking supply isles seem more robust than other locations. A little more helpful information: the front desk and the bathrooms are on your right upon entry. Self check-out is directly in front of the desk. If you're reading this and you're in Durham, have a good one and enjoy our wonderful hometown, whether you're a native or a visitor.

Not a bad location. A wide variety of milks to choose from! Nice and clean also. The only thing was, they didn't have the larger lactaid 2% milk so I had to settle for the carton.

Store was clean, found what I was looking for.I gave 3 stars for two reasons:First, as Harris Teeter is known for, the prices are crazy high on a lot of items. I went in for 4 things specifically, but checked a couple things I knew I'd need soon. Seeing a couple of those astronomical prices almost made me want to put everything down and walk out. Unfortunately I can't find a couple of these things at my local Food Lion or Lowe's, so Harris Teeter got me there.Second, I elected to go to the self checkout. I had 2 limes, so I knew I'd have to look them up. Not hard, but the cashier assigned to help at self checkout insisted on finding them for me on the register. I didn't catch her name, but she was a middle-aged white woman with blonde hair. I had no problem with her helping, but I don't think anyone needed to hear her cussing (literally) and griping to another employee about not getting hired for some other position. Not to mention her and this other employee standing in the middle of the egress for the self checkout, not caring about their surroundings or being in anyone's way.I wish I had run into that situation before I checked out, I would have just dumped my items on the register and left. It's no wonder "Karen" didn't get the other job, and I hope a manger from this store sees this and uses it to let her know why she doesn't deserve whatever job it was.

Harris Teeter has been my go to grocery store since I moved to NC over 29 years ago. I feel they deliver the best overall value for my everyday shopping needs. Plus this HT has a fuel station in the same parking lot so it's easy to cash in my fuel points -AND- the station has free air so I can keep my tire pressure perfect all year round. During the peak of the pandemic, HT was almost the only place I went to outside our home. All of the staff there became like friends; even after the lockdown was lifted we still are on a first name basis and share stories about our lives and families.

Friendly and attentive associates. Great selection of HT brand items. Nice deli and bakery. BUT......the front of the store is often littered with trash and for some strange reason the cigarette receptacle is a mile away and smokers just drop their butts at the entrance area.UPDATE:EMPLOYEES DON"T WEAR MASKS!

This is a nice store. It's not as big as some of the other HTs I've shopped at, but it does have the gas station. The pharmacy on the other hand is always very busy. They have a pharmacy discount similar to good rx called Blink. It discounts are pretty good on generics, better than a lot of health insurance plans. Named brands are more expensive imo.

There's one thing you should know about Harris Teeter. Their store brand names I just as good as National brand names. I specifically like breakfast cereal. The Raisin Bran Crunch, the strawberry oatmeal squares AR equally as good has the national brand name cereals. Also check out the candy aisle for Harris Teeter brand candy. I like the chocolate covered raisins for a dollar 99 and the chocolate covered peanuts for the same price, much lower than the national brand name

This is a review specifically about the gentleman at the self checkout, Prince, whose warmth and friendliness really made my day! I'd forgotten my wallet in the car - it's one of those days - and he saw that between that and everything else I was really stressed. I appreciated his kindness so much.
