I went into Food Lion February 3rd with my mom. This is not the closest location, we go to this store because they have the best selection of meat...in my opinion. I've never had anyone be rude to me at this store before so I was caught off guard. I asked a pretty easy question to the only person I saw working in produce about garlic because the price was different. I asked if the price was by the pound now. He said no, and I asked if the price went up because that is what the label said...he said no and then proceeded to tell me that the label didn't say that, it wasn't wrong and that I was looking at it wrong. All of this with out just walking the 5 steps to look at it with his own eyes. Once he looked at it he was understandably quiet, until he decided this was a good time to double down on his nasty behavior. Had he not been so rude and condescending I would have just let it go. There was just no reason for it. You are at work, if being descent and at the very least pretending to be friendly is hard for you, don't work in a store where customer service is included in the job description Jermaine! This turned into a back and forth argument in the produce section when you could have just answered the question like a normal human. I may be soft spoken, but you don't get to talk to me any kind of way (especially in front of my mom) and think I won't give that energy right back to you. He didn't even change the wrong price...the manager had to do it. If you're having a bad day or you don't like your job take a personal day or something.

Love this store . Remodeling was an astounding success . It’s beautifully designed and well lit . You can see so much better now .Vivian is the best Customer Service Manager in 3 counties ! If there’s a problem she graciously take care of it no attitude . 🎈

Oftentimes, shelves aren't stocked, and there will be a number of products that are unavailable. In addition, employees can be aggressive toward women. My fiancée won't return there alone, due to that problem.

Poor Customer ServiceGo to another store if you need lottery tickets, moneygram, or money orders. Went at 4:30 pm on a Monday and the Customer service counter was closed according to a young lady on the register beside it.Unbelievable

I love this Food Lion store; I have been a patron for 25+ years. The loyalty of the cashiers and stock people greatly contribute to a personalized shopping experience. When there have been products I longed for, they have researched and whenever possible have been willing to order and carry them. I appreciate that they carry a large selection of both organic and other produce. The staff are friendly and the store is surprisingly clean despite the plantings in the parking lot area, being quite disheveled, and often devoid of life.

Great stocked shelves. Employees very helpful and kind. Clean store. I like the idea of having a police officer or you may refer to him as a security guard. Wonderful people. I highly recommend this Food Lion on Hillsborough rd. If you are coming from the east to the west, it's just a few miles away from Ninth st. 💯

This is one of my favorite Food Lions. It's never too crowded no matter what time of the day I go. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The establishment is very clean. They stay pretty well stocked given the situation with COVID. I've never had a bad experience here. Highly recommend.

The cashier # 202 in Lane 4 was very curt when asked a question and seemed very annoyed overall. This was not the first encounter I have had less favorable customer service at this particular location.

Last night, I accompanied a great friend to Food Lion. We both needed just one item each but what happened there was worth so very much. We were both greeted by a fantastic employee that I'm sure neither of us had seen in some time. We made our purchases..but the warmth and personal attention was incredible and speeks volumes ..especially for this location ! Thanks Food Lyon and staff. The cashier was way too busy talking with another customer when I first got in line. It was lunch time and there were lines formimg. However, when she waited on me the service was good. She was quick and friendly.

Good value for money - especially on things like chips, cherries and mushrooms. Service is pretty fast too. Even though I didn't have a food lion card, they still gave me discounts but encouraged me to get a card. Overall great experience!

Friendly staff, clean store, no huge flats of inventory blocking aisles like the Sparger Rd. Hillsborough Rd. location. Shelves stocked and you aren't falling over boxes like the other store

The staff is very friendly & helpful. Several smiled at me as they passed me during my shopping. I was looking for an item & a sales associate took more time than I would expect to help me locate it. The cashier did not just put my groceries in bags, he put them in my cart. I like shopping in this store because of the caring staff.

I was only here because the neighborhood Kroger is closing but the customer service I received here is truly unmatched. It was pouring rain and the manager carried my groceries out to my car and lended me an umbrella. It's going to take a while for me to get used to the higher prices but the service was amazing. The guy even met a lady at her car with an umbrella, like some fancy valet service. Impressive. Move over Harris Teeter.
