Good selection and the prices are always great. This food lion location is pretty big and they have good produce. I have been to other food lions and their selection isn't as good. I rarely see what I need out of stock when I visit. The staff is friendly and helpful they always ask if you’re finding everything ok. They handle busy hours well and have plenty of registers open for a quick check out. Its also clean and items are well organized.

I used to use this store for my Instacart pickups all of the time but the last month or so, they are HORRIBLY SLOW. I have tried twice and ended up sitting in the assigned To Go spot for 15-20 minutes despite checking in on the app, calling them and notifying them through the app. DO NOT USE THEM. I don’t know what changed but I won’t be using them any longer!

The store is as local as it gets. Serves the nearby neighborhoods very well. It's not something you should go out of your way to drive through if it isn't a short drive. Walmart will be a better option in that scenario.

Great food lion to get groceries at. The employees are very nice and good at their job. They also have a pharmacy in there. You can find lots of different drinks and snacks and all the groceries you can think of. It’s pretty clean inside and I like the buildings design. This is definitely a good food lion to go to I suggest it to anyone who needs a simple snack and drink or a new grocery store to shop at. You should definitely try it out.

Customer service is always great at all food lions in Durham, NC....prices are still good even though they went up. Each department is clean and associates are friendly n helpful. Restrooms are always clean.

Always busy so don't chose this one if your in a hurry. One of many stores in the area so confident for getting all your shopping needs done at once. Prices are what they are, things just cost more than they did 2 years ago so you have to bargain shop and they do have bargains.

One of the largest Food Lions I have ever shopped!! It was clean, well stocked and every aisle was neat as a pin!! Impressive! Shopped there several years ago. Now I am back as a steady customer for the "certain" staples they have available that we use! Saw a lady I'd gotten to know who worked at another grocery chain. She remembered me and we caught up. 😊 Very pleasant older/mature, seasoned employees with whom I've had contact on 2 recent visits! Keep up the good work!

I wanted to call the feedback line but the receipt wasn't put n my husband's bag. BUT the only reason it was forgotten was bc they were to busy helping my husband to the car. Ya see, my husband has had 2 strokes this year only 4 months a part. And life has been so different for us; however, in a time of uncertainty, we have been blessed to have consistently helpful, caring, wonderful, encouragers at this Food Lion! Geneva, Jenny, and Tashonda have gone far beyond expectations and we, The Thompsons, wanted to take the time out to publicly acknowledge them . Thank you all! For all you do!!!

Went to the Food Lion on Guess road and Horton Road. Had 13 items and tried to go to the express checkout and the woman said I could only have 12 items and turned me away.... I have been a cashier with petsmart since 1999 and would never do that to a custmer.... She was very rude and had no customer service skills.... It was an older African American woman at register 5 @ 5:34 pm.... So after working my register at petsmart from 9-5, I had to go to the self checkout and check myself out...... Next time I'll just stop at my friendly Food Lion At woodcroft shopping center....

Just did the food lion Togo service for the first time and when I got there a gentleman named Vince was in the parking lot about to get carts. He came over and got my name and went back in for my order and brought it out. Awesome personality great service from this location and especially Vince!!!

Here in North Carolina, Food Lion is trying very hard to make up for the loss of the Kroger's that all closed here in this state. The staff is really friendly, but the stores aren't as large as I am used to, and so the selection is limited. Oh, the prices are really good too

Pretty much the same as other Food Lions. It's affordable, convenient, and well-stocked. When you come here, check out the circular online or in store; they have weekly deals that best any other grocer I've come across!

Cheapest place around for groceries but someone the staff have their heads up their own ends. They seem lost when it comes to common sense, same for management. When there are lines more registers should be opened to keep things flowing.

I asked a lady working in the meat Dept a detailed question about where to find a certain fish variety. Tho they don't stock that variety, she looked up the address of a store that does. NOW THATS FRIENDLY SERVICE!!!The checker was also very kind and helpful, even tho I'm a senior.

Produce is better then other local supermarkets. I gave it three stars because after emailing in the past, still not offering senior discounts. Their reply was seven months ago, that they would consider it.The other reason is perhaps it's the light in or the fact that the store is old, but no matter the reason it always appears dingy and unclean.

Each time I visit this particular Food Lion you have a bit joy as you enter. Always helpful. I also forgot to mention Samantha at the Customer Service desk, Sam has such a radiant personality and has so much patience even when she was pregnant with child. If you know for fact, some people are at their worst at this time, not Samantha. Another department is the Meat & Produce Departments, the very tall gentleman and the young lady with the slightly gap in her front teeth are always at hand and Sid in produce is always helpful. It's always a pleasure to shop. Thank You Food Lion @ Guess Road, Durham, N.C.

Food Lion is the stepchild to the other chain grocery store catty (kitty) corner from it. It typically is my last resort. But since that other store had ZERO basil, I dropped into the Lion. I was impressed with the facelift inside. Super clean, well lit, well stocked and super organized. It was weird that beer was on the other side of the store from wine. But they had basil and it was organic. It's a good store for the basics and packaged goods. But I wouldn't make it my first choice because of the limited produce offering and limited cheese selection. I'm a cheese-a-holic who likes interesting stuff.
