I've owned gis, shirts, and other gear from Toro BJJ for close to 20 years. They are a great local company who I always trust to make wonderful stuff. I think half of my wardrobe is from Toro. It's amazing to have a place you can actually try on gis and rash guards before you buy them alongside their wonderful customer service and awesome designs.

Nice fitting gi's. Good quality for the price. They have pants that are tapered without being too tight so you can look good on the mats or in the club if you're like Danaher and like to wear your training gear all the time. Jackets are light weight without being too light as well. Great for comps if you're barely in the weight bracket. Nogi gear is good too, no complaints.

As a woman, finding a gi that actually fits is extremely challenging- after toro came out with the womens gis, my toro gi is the only one I like to wear now. Best Jiu Jitsu Gi’s, rashgaurds, and shorts for training as well as for competing! These gis are somehow simultaneously lightweight (some of the lightest on the market!) and sturdy. Im always impressed by how the gis (as well as the rashgaurds and shorts) withstand tough training and washes, for years! I really wish I was nicer to my equipment but I’m not, and I’m very grateful that toro equipment withstands that and still looks/holds up great! The shorts are a new favorite of mine because they are so light and comfy while giving coverage over spats/compression shorts. The designs are also awesome- there are classics like the dark horse gi and there are always new color schemes and rashgaurds designs to look forward too! Speaking of designs- the casual wear is also cool and comfortable, and makes for a great gift.

The guy who was working the front desk on 9/27 was absolutely rude. This was our first time in so I wasn’t familiar with the building. I asked where the restroom was and he was annoyed that he had to remove his earbud to hear me. Later, I asked if we were allowed to open a belt to try it since it was packaged. Once again, he was upset that he had to remove his earbud. He kept reiterating that I needed a gi if I wanted to try it on. I explained that I knew that but rephrased my question. He continued to say that I needed a gi and rolled his eyes. He was very unprofessional. I tried to be understanding, but it seemed that any customer presence was a nuisance to him. If I didn’t need a gi belt today, I definitely wouldn’t have purchased from this business.

I agree with others that the customer service is amazing. I ordered a gi as a Christmas present for my adult son. His size was sold out at the time and I bought an alternate. It did not fit. However, Customer Service responded quickly to my emails and contacted me when the size I needed was in stock. The exchange was seamless with plenty of communication inbetween. I highly recommend this company.

I’ve been a long time user of Toro Gis and absolutely love them, but I recently ordered a set of the cageside hand wraps and I am very impressed. They were about 1/3 the price of the Hayabusa wraps I’ve been using and even more comfortable. They have just the right amount of stretch and still provide awesome stability. Highly recommend.
