Casey is the most wonderful store owner and just genuinely a great person to know. He is very knowledgeable about birds, has a huge supply of bird feeders and seed, as well as great gifts and cards. Casey goes above and beyond for his customers. The items there are top notch. In a pinch, I tried other bird seed and my birds just wouldn't have it. He offers many options of seed in its original large packaging, but he also splits into smaller bags for those who don't want to trudge home a large amount of seed. Casey always offers to help walk our purchases out to our car and just provides the best service. For anyone who loves birds and the outdoors, or just looking through neat gifts, I highly recommend visiting. Fair warning, you may become a birder if you aren't one yet.

The absolute best. Shop is chock full of bird and nature related items, great cards. Owner is friendly and knowledgeable and even keeps track of our birdseed preferences for reference - this is helpful as it’s easy to get mixed up with the large selection! A cute dog often greets us at the door - you will love this place.

Went in with the goal of bringing a few birds to my yard but left with a really nice bird feeder and a ton of knowledge on how to treat my neighborhood birds with respect. Casey is a really cool guy and his dog was a wonderful assistant. I’ll be coming here again for sure!

Owner is very helpful. We bought our bird feeders here after moving into our new house. We keep going back to buy bird seed here because it is actually a cool shop to visit. He usually has a furry helper around and one time he actually had a domesticated turkey in the shop. He has filled the shop with all kinds of interesting items: yard art, small gifts, and a surprisingly good collection of cool greeting cards. If you are thinking about checking the place out, go, you won't be disappointed.

I'm like a kid in a candy store here! So many supplies for your backyard wildlife habitat. The owner is very knowledgeable and answers any questions pertaining to seed (the best, no fillers), supplies, birds, squirrels and gifts. I love coming here and chatting up the owner about our shared interest in critters! Truly a Triangle gem!

Love this store! Great prices and selection. The owner is awesome. Definitely the best store around for your backyard birds. I usually buy the chickadee mix along with peanuts and suet cakes. I regularity see about 30 different species visiting the backyard.

We have purchased, seeds, houses, feeders, gifts, door mats, cards, jigsaw puzzles, bird guides, & so much more here. The seed is always fresh, not dry as one can get at grocery or hardware stores. Casey really works hard to find the right product for his customers. He also has great advice for each season, which leads to great conversations with him as well as other customers. When we moved to this state Casey shared with us how to i.d. snakes on trails, as we like to hike. Never had to do that before, thanks Casey! I have been purchasing bird seed at this store for a number of years, and have always received great service and recommendations. I love the feeders and houses I've purchased here. I get a good variety of birds in my yard and my (indoor only) cats have many hours of live entertainment from the windows and catio.

The owner is so knowledgeable and kind. I first visited Backyard Birds 11 years ago and the young man who now owns the store was an employee. He has since purchased the store and added a great deal for birding as well as most thoughtful gifts for birders and non birders alike.

I love this place and so do all my backyard critter visitors! Best birdseed by far. I purchased "similar" seed elsewhere and the birds refused to eat it! The shop pets are also amazing. I have also purchased wonderful creative cards in addition to bird feeders.

Went to this store over the weekend and was told I could not enter without a mask. I asked for a mask but I was rudely told he didn't have any. If you want everyone to wear a mask then you need to supply masks. I'm not anti mask at all. I almost always wear one in public but I was visiting from out of town and I forgot to bring my mask with me. I would have spent a lot of money in his store if he had either offered me a mask or had been a little more polite instead of yelling to get out.

The owner is super knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. We went there once on a whim and came back a while later after checking a few other places. When we decided we wanted to get something we knew this was the place we wanted to go. The selection is fantastic! They have multiple feeders, mounting poles, yard art, bird baths, different kinds of seed, guides, and so much more! I can't recommend this store highly enough.
