I've been here many times considering it's the only grocery store in town. It looks very nice inside, but it is hit or miss on availability of items. Today, they decided to have a huge floor cleaner going through the store. It seemed like a terrible time for this as the store was fairly busy. The majority of the employees are nice and helpful.

The only reason I come here is because I don’t have time to make it to Elizabeth city all the time. The store is cramped, always very crowded, the most basic items are very frequently out of stock and there is not a great selection of things. For being the only grocery store in town, it’s pretty sad.

The staff are helpful and courteous, except some of the stockers. It seemed they didn't want you to get by or ask a question or get the product that you need.

As a Director of External Communications I realize how important customer service is. I had a wonderful experience with a checkout person. Her name was Kiara. She was pleasant, smiled, and did not hesitate to come around the counter and place the bags in my cart. A little extra goes a long way!

Store had a lot of stock that I haven't seen in other stores recently. Nice & clean but really packed. There were a lot of ppl in the store, which I guess is actually good 4 the company but not so much as a customer. I felt I had to move along quickly.

Parking lot is dangerous so just pay attention to your surroundings. Employees were nice. Love the set up / layout of this location. Went in on our vacation visiting family there.

I've frequented this Food Lion several times. It's always been clean & neat. The cashier was friendly & polite. My only complaint at this time relates to the lack of availability for several items. We're nearly 3 years into the pandemic, & not quite sure why FL still has entirely empty shelves & the absence of various items since the very beginning? The other "issue" was how another associate bagged my grocery items; heavy items were placed only in single thickness bags, freezer items were bagged with with OTC items rather than separately, & then tossed carelessly into the cart without regard for breakage. The woman bagging the items didn't even acknowledge me, nor did she stop her inappropriate gossipy conversation. But otherwise, FL remains comparatively close to Walmart as far as prices, but is thankfully usually less noisy & chaotic than Walmart, & it is definitely more convenient distance wise.

Just wish they had some competition in town. Anything, a piggy wiggle would be a welcomed sign. Town has not been successful in convincing another company to come in and break the near monopoly.

I would rather shop here than any other grocery store. High quality produce, fresh too. Excellent pricing, friendly and professional staff that really know where everything is. I asked a clerk where an item was and instead of telling me she walked to the aisle and picked out the item herself and handed it to me. I really appreciate this level of helpfulness and friendly attitude.

The staff is nice, but the shelves are sometimes empty. I can't find a lot of just basic things that I need, so I am forced to go to the Hertford Food Lion. The store is clean.

I've lived in Edenton for 2 years and it's sad that there is only one grocery store. My experience there is not very good one, they price gouge, long lines, rude people, especially management, shelves are picked over. I hate not having a choice. Definitely need another store.

I have been here a handful of times and I will not be going back. Each time I went it took longer to check out than it took me to find the items I wanted and be ready to check out. They have one or two check out lanes open and the lines wrap around and into the aisles. If they are understaffed they need to be calling some people in. I’m not sure why it is always like that. The cashiers hate their job and they make it known. However, there are a couple there that are personable. They need to get it together. Every other food lion I’ve been to was better than this one. Like I stated above, I will not be returning.

I enjoyed my visit at Edenton food lion I felt right at home good vibes plus clean restrooms and well stocked aisles. TY Edenton food lion I purchased a rotisserie chicken and brioche buns butter lettuce with macaroni salad for the perfect lunch😋👍

It's the only grocery store that gets my money. Love the environment and it's employees are very nice people. The products on the shelves, deli, meat areas and just the air is FRESH. I'M SOLD ON FOOD LION .

Friendly employees. Clean store. Well stocked. I was able to grab the few items I needed and check out in less than ten minutes. Several registers were open.Impressive

This store has half aisles and is like a maze. It's hard to maneuver around and is always crowded. Things are hard to find and there's always lines at the check out as there are never enough cashiers. The parking lot is a disaster so be prepared to walk. There are not enough cart returns so again be prepared to walk. The only up side is that you won't have to go to the gym the day you visit this store.

This may not be their doing, but they remain out out or very low on some items. Paper towels, rice, frozen vegetables, milk, and margarine. They have gotten a little bit of tp. The meat selection was much better, still limited to 2. The price of beef was outrageous. Cube Steaks were $7 a pound. Soup bones with no meat, just bone was $4 a pound.

High prices, only local groceries. They don't seem to be too customer service oriented. Watch for expiration dates too, we've gotten some items home only to realize they were expired or soon would expire before we could eat them.

I had a very pleasant experience at food lion. They made my day! They had so many really good Bogo items. Everyone was nice. I would definitely shop there!
