I ordered the Carmel fudge cheese cake blizzard, what I got was a Carmel cheese cake blizzard.I didn't notice until I left.Came back again ordered the same thing, but specified I want fudge in it this time.The employee looked at me and said, "we're trained to make it with Carmel n cheese cake .I said it says fudge in the name, fudge is chocolate right?She looked so confused, I got it anyways because it's still good, but feel ripped off.Came again with the web page that shows the picture and ingredients in it.He told me they hadn't gotten the fudge yet..I said why have it on the menu if u can't make it correctly? ?He had no answer..I asked,, why don't the employee's tell the customers when they order it?He said he tries to, but not everyone dose.It tastes good, it should just say, Carmel cheese cake blizzard.This store doesn't properly train their employees, as a business owner, I know it comes down to the manager.Really disappointed, and sad for business.

Food was hot and service was fast. Our order was correct but the rotisserie style chicken bites were not cooked no where near long enough. One of our ranch cups appeared to have not been refrigerated, as it was a little chunky. Finally, while placing my order I was cut off multiple times and when I ordered more food the cashier seemed angry/irritated. I later found out this was the assistant manager who at the window continued to have an attitude. After being pulled up, a nice young man brought out our food, repeated our order to us, and told us to have a good day.

11/06/2023I just received a reply from the owner. All they did was call me names. I guess that means the sundae I have pictured is in fact a large. Again, I feel that is a rip off. Atleast I got a reply. The review at the bottom of this that I left a year ago received no response from management. Also, if you look at my other reviews, you will see they are generally good. If I receive good service I reward it. I I receive bad service I call it out. Glad the rest of Edenton finds this to be so wonderful.11/05/23I wrote a review last year about how disappointed I was with location. Tonight my husband and I wanted some ice cream, and didn't want to drive an hour to get it, so we decided to give this location another try. Boy was that a mistake. I ordered a large hot fudge sundae. When the cashier handed it to my husband, he questioned it. Told cashier it was supposed to be a large. She said it was. Ice cream didn't even come to the top of the cup. This place is just a rip off. Not sure how they are still in business.I left this review summer of 2022It is with great sadness that I leave this review. I think this will be the last time my husband and I go to this location. Since the new owners took over a few years ago the service has been steadily going down hill. We kept coming because this place held fond memories for us, but after today's visit I think it's time to let this place go. After our daughter passed 4 years ago this was somewhere we could go that held good memories. During covid, even though we had to sit I'm parking lot, it offered some since of normalcy. Unfortunately we have allowed so many businesses to use covid as an excuse for bad service, we just let things go. I can't ignore the service, or lack thereof at this Dairy Queen any longer. There main parking is in the rear. We tried to go to back door, but it was locked. Supposedly for safety issues. Guess there is a crime wave in Edenton I don't know about. I should have just walked away then, but we walked around the building and went in. When you get in there is all this signage about how you have to have your receipt to get your food. I've been there plenty of times in the past where they didn't even offer me a receipt. Every time we go there is a whole new crew. After watching the owner training a new employee and interacting with a guest I understand why. While waiting for my ice cream a lady came to retrieve her food. She asked the owner for ketchup. That is something else that is hard to get here. You practically have to beg. The owner threw a couple packs of ketchup in the ladies bag. Lady kept standing there, so she asked her if she wanted more. The lady said yes please. Owner threw a couple more in bag. As lady turned and walked away the owner rolled her eyes at the lady. I looked at my husband, and said I think we need to be done with this place. There prices have almost doubled in last. Of course that is the case everywhere, but if a couple packs of ketchup are going to break the place, they may want to lock the front door also. I miss the old owners . They knew customers and how to treat them.

Placed a order for a chocolate milkshake and a caramel Sunday.The chocolate milkshake looked more like a frozen blizzard & and the $4.50 Sunday looked like a 75 cent little kids ice cream.When I asked the employee about this order, they responded rude .What a Ripoff.

Ok well original I gave them two stars then gave them five stars because the owner made things right but after moving my sister and her kid here and recommending they go there to eat I am disappointed. There was no one even ordering food but yet they were ignored and took forever to have their order taken. And to top it off when they did take her order it was like they were aggravated that they came in to eat. Terrible customer service I’m embarrassed. I’m never recommending this place to anyone until they get employees who care.

Typically a great DQ but something has happened to the vanilla milkshakes at this location that is different than other locations. The vanilla flavoring tastes funny. Did a taste test here today for a second time in the last few weeks and the vanilla shake is just off. Tried another DQ a few hours later during a road trip today in Courtland and it was spot on, the good ole familiar DQ vanilla shake.

The employee working the drive thru was one of clearest they have ever had. She waited for our completed order before speaking over us. She was extremely clear, precise, & very easy to understand. I know that there are mystery shoppers & that restaurants are suppose to get them to buy more, but stop trying to push the whole menu on your customers. Let us order then say does that complete your order or see there anything else you need. Fortunately this time that was our experience here.

I was in the drive thru line today for lunch and I saw the man at the window give a bag to the car in front of me and the man in the car handed it back after realizing it wasn’t his and I saw the man at the window give the man his money back and he drove off. So when I got to the window the man handed me the same bag and I asked him if it was the same bag he gave the man in front of me and he said “yes but don’t worry he didn’t touch it” and seemed to have an attitude because he got caught. How am I suppose to know what that man did to my food in that car. Very unsanitary, i went inside and the manager kindly made me a new one. However that boy should definitely be taught about sanitation.

We went thru the drive thru yesterday and when we got home our order was wrong. Tried calling to let them know and no one ever answered the phone. Mom wanted to go there today we spent $28 got home and the order was completely wrong. Again we tried calling and no answer. I live about 15 minutes from the restaurant but I have a broken foot so I don't get around very easy so there was no going back with the food. We just won't go there again for awhile. Also the girl that was taking our order before we could finish what we were saying she kept interrupting us asking questions. Let me finish talking before you interupt me. I was a manager at a restaurant for over 12 years this is unacceptable.

Food used to be amazing. Went there recently and recieved a microwaved burger that was insanely hot. I know for a fact it was put in a microwave because all the vegetables were so hot they burned my mouth. Piping hot soggy lettuce on a burger? Cmon now.

Very POOR customer service and the side salad was overpriced for only having a couple of pieces of lettuce and two pieces of chopped tomatoes. There was more dressing than there was food. The time before that, my slushy order was the wrong size and flavor, and my fries were soggy with brown hair in it. I have blonde hair, so it wasn't mine. Poor customer service then too.I won't be going back and I DON'T recommend eating here.

Very clean store but super dirty weird lamp on the counter???? The lady manager was rude with no communication skills, its not always what you say but how you say it! Maybe explain when a customer fells like when theres not much topping, that we measure by scoops but if you like more it's extra. Most people would be happy to pay for extra.... intend of you rolling around the ice cream and examining it for flaws! Really off putting :-(

The food was wrong. Our order was completely wrong. When we tried to complain when we got home the phone number was useless. Nobody answers. I guess this is what you can expect from young kids in the kitchen. No real cooks in the kitchen I would assume. I will NEVER go there again. EVER!

One Word: YUMMY !!!I'm hooked on the vanilla shakes! Best Orange Freezes..but DO NOT drink it fast because you WILL get a brain freeze. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is super clean. The prices are super affordable. The Edenton Dairy Queen is super!!!
