This review will not do enough justice to describe how great Dr. Kelley Duruman and her staff are. They really love animals and it shows. They care about the patients and their owners. They always do their best to get me in quick when my dog Jack has an issue (now that he's 13, he seems to have a lot). I highly recommend CAH because they truly care about your fur babies.Thank you Dr. Duruman, Hailey, Audrey, and everyone there!

A little difficult to contact but they were prompt on returning my calls.. clean and friendly facility. They performed exceptionally well and did an amazing job on my cats surgery. I would absolutely recommend this animal hospital

Our 13 year old miniature schnauzer became sick with a virus. He was throwing up and had diarrhea. He had blood in his tools and throw up. A friend of Ours recommended C. A. H. As it was Saturday, we needed to be there before 12:pm. We got there at ten thirty am, and we're told they don't see emergencies after nine thirty. After telling the receptionist that the dog had been throwing up blood most of the morning, she went to speak to the Vet about it. A Tech came back out and without examining our dog , told us to go to greenville to the emergency room, because They don't do emergency services after nine thirty a m On Saturday. What kind of Veterinarian turns away a sick animal throwing up blood, anytime of the day, that they are open?

Our first visit — we love Dr. Duruman, and the technician was amazing with Casey, our 9-yr old white lab. We are so happy with our new veterinary hospital and looking forward to future wellness check-ups. We were in and out within an hour — amazing. Cosmetic surgery scheduled; shots done for a year; health tips and reassurance appreciated; clerical staff are friendly — again, we LOVE Dr. Duruman.

Words cannot express how compassionate and professional the staff here is. My cat passed away unexpectedly, so I brought my other cat in for a check up to make sure she was ok. The staff understood my reasoning, and actually took my concerns seriously. They ran my other cats blood work the same day, and this was after squeezing her in for the unscheduled checkup, and they also helped me dispose of the remains of my other cat in a very respectful manner. 10/10 will recommend.

They have the most wonderful staff. Dr Howell and Dr Ford have been our vets for over 20 yrs for our two begals and our two lab mix fur babies and have been wonderful.

Jasper does not like to have his nails or feet touched. But they were able to trim his nails and I did not even hear him cry which is unusual for him. They have been very good with all of my dogs. You are all amazing. Bella didn’t have an appointment and hurt herself in the car and you gave her great immediate care. Thank you so much for caring for my fur babies.

Chowan Animal Hospital is a wonderful practice. Our only complaint is that we didn't find them sooner before we had to move away from North Carolina. From the front desk to the doctors, we truly appreciated every interaction we had. We are now in MO taking care of my aging father, but when we move back to NC, we sure hope they will still be taking new patients because they are the best. Special thanks and love to Dr. Deruman for her kindess with our aging boy Gus in helping him to be comfortable during his last few months.

Chowan Animal Hospital staff and vets are the most caring,Dr. Howell is the best would recommend him ,have been taking my dogs there since my former vet hospital did surgery on my one dog that was not needed, hospital also doesn’t take appointments so many times my whole morning was wasted just sitting and waiting to be seen.

Loved the receptionist and felt my dogs were going to receive the absolute best care for their vaccines, although they were a drop off to be boarded, I felt the staff were very competitive and loved what they do and the animals they do it for. Highly recommend!! I know my two furbabies will be coming here permanently!

Great vet for 2 years then they unilaterally changed my dogs flea and tick medication without consultation and expect me to absorb the cost because we didn’t notice the bait and switch until we got home. Would NOT trust the staff with your pet’s medications.

Chowan Animal Hospital has been fantastic providing care for all our fur babies. The staff is friendly and work with you on appointment times that are best for you. At the last minute, I had to change my cat's shot appointment to later in the day and they worked me in. I highly recommend them!

I am very pleased with their services. I couldn’t ask for a nicer place. I have a total of six animals and just recently lost my Henry. They were very courteous and were there for me I am so grateful that they did everything they could to try to save him. I would not go anywhere else.
