I wasn't sure about frozen custard, but, oh my, it was good. I got a small Luscious Lake Norman - It was fantastic - lots of pecans, not too much caramel or fudge, it was just right. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside at one of the tables and enjoyed an after lunch "ice cream" (I honestly don't know the difference between ice cream and frozen custard - and after today, I'm not sure there is a difference). Oh, and the staff was great - really pleasant and helpful even though it was busy. We will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend

Friendly staff and some decent custard. Quite of bit of pre-packaged frozen custard that is very easy to take as a to-go item.My sundae and my daughter's cone were both delicious.Ample parking. Lots of outdoor seating and a small bit of indoor seating.We look forward to returning.

Whit’s never disappoints. They have vanilla, chocolate, a flavor of the week, and some specials. Our party tried all kinds of toppings in our frozen custards. You can’t go wrong with any combination of toppings. We highly recommend for a cold treat on a hot summer day! Or any day.

We love Whits! Amelia is one of our favorite people. She manages both locations. She is always so nice to myself and my husband Pete. My favorite is the hot fudge with vanilla ice cream and peanuts. Yum!

Honestly, some of the best ice cream I've had on the East Coast. I live in NYC, and this place reminds me of Carvel, which is high praise. I came in, not really knowing what I wanted, or what to expect, ordered the salted caramel brownie thing on the door -- people were polite and friendly, everyone was having a good time, parents brought their children out for ice cream, one father was spoon-feeding his daughter, overall, very nice atmosphere though the décor could use some updating/upgrading (somewhat old benches/wood). The salted caramel thing was mindblowing. Whit's is great!

We recently had an exceptional ice cream experience at this ice cream shop in the Charlotte metro area. It has been one of the best ice cream places we have come across. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We highly recommend trying their blended options, as they were particularly delightful. It's worth noting that their portion sizes are quite generous, so opting for a small size would be a wise choice.

I have recently moved to the area, and I have been trying out all the local ice cream. We gave carolina cones and ben & jerry's a try and this blows them both away! This is the Lucious Lake Norman and it was incredible! Also recommend the cookies and cream. Can't wait to go back!

The best frozen custard in Charlotte! Lots of options between the daily and weekly flavors and whitser options. Cakes are delicious, too! A taste of summer from the midwest, but in Charlotte. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Lake Norman area!

There are multiple Whit's locations, but this review is specifically for the Davidson one (although I am biased, as a Davidson College graduate). First of all, wish this was here when I was a student!! Second, this Whit's has such a home-y feel, in a little section of town with old brick buildings. I don't know what the building was before, but I can tell it has some history, which makes it so cozy and cute.Not a ton of space to sit inside, so many people take their custards outdoors to the benches. I love to carefully drive it back to the Davidson campus and eat it by Phi hall (built in 1850!), near Chambers, the main academic building. Regardless of where you eat it, though, it beats any of the other frozen custard shops in the area. So smooth and flavorful, with delicious topping options. Always friendly employees. Hardly any wait for the custard to come out.Note: Portions are large! A small feels like a large! I often opt for a mini or a KIDS SIZE, and it is perfect.

BEST CUSTARD IN TOWN!!! So yummy! The custard is great: creamy, rich, and delicious. This place must be a Davidson staple, as it it always busy however the customer service is so quick that it is fine.I live 15 minutes away, but I make this extra drive despite a nearby cold stone, because Whit's is so delicious!I am definitely a regular customer and will continue to be!

My wife and I took our son here to give them a try. She got their special, my son something off the kids menu and me a banana split...and it was Fantastic! All 3 of us loved our custard and will happily go again! The staff was very friendly and knew their products well and was willing to help with anything. This is a must visit for anyone who enjoys good custard!

I love Whit’s! My husband and I have been going to Whit’s every single Sunday for the last 2 years, it’s the weekly treat that we look forward to and we have never been disappointed! We passed by this shop numerous times and have wanted to stop in. We were always on our way somewhere and couldn't stop. We finally got the chance. All I can say is WOW!If you've never had frozen custard, you need to. Even if it's just once. It's like ice cream but It's creamier, richer, smoother and thicker. I have to say though, it is expensive. It's a once in awhile treat for us. My husband and I got a small scoop of vanilla each. No toppings or extras for just under $8.00. If you have the family with you, be prepared for sticker shock. I do suggest that you try it, if only once. It is delicious.

Extremely rude employees. I just stopped by to get my dog an ice cream after a vet visit and was not told, but yelled at that I can’t have an animal here and needed to leave. A little politeness goes a long way, you should really teach your employees better service. Or get better employees as they use to be very kind.

I came to get ice cream and the employee was so nice and recommend which quart of ice cream to get! Definitely recommend it is so worth it. Super good deal for. 7.00 quart vs Ben and Jerry’s. Definitely will come back if I’m ever in the area.Thank you! The almond joy ice cream is delicious

One of the best frozen custard places around town. Even the plain vanilla is delicious. We find ourselves stopping in almost every time we pass by. What Whit's anytime? Take home a ready to go container of their custard.

Haven’t had a root beer float in a long time! This was the most yummy custard I have ever had! The customer service was great as well!Only negative is that the premises does not have a restroom. I had to go over to the pizza shop close by! I thought a place had to have restroom facilities in order to sell food and coffee. But apparently not!

We stopped in for custard and the man that walked in before us didn’t have his mask on yet. An employee promptly asked him if he had a mask which he did and he put on. Same employee while making our custard adjusted her mask every 30 seconds, touched her hair and pushed the custard down in the cup with the same glove that she just adjusted her mask and touched her hair. How is this sanitary at all?
