As close to an old style feed store farm supply as your going to get! I seem to have better results from their brand of feeds than others. Very rarely crowded. Well stocked for every item I've ever needed. Plenty of parking, even if you had large truck or trailer. Very pleased overall!

Need feed for your animals this is the place.They have almost everything you need for your livestock. Make sure you join the rewards program it helps. We have chickens, goats, dogs, ducks, rabbits, we are looking in to expanding our livestock we will definitely be coming here.

I don’t need a lot but 50% of the time I go to this store they are out of the 1 thing I need and have stopped in for. There are no other places in Dallas to get feed and related items, but why waste time going here because they are probably out of whatever you are hoping to find there. Just plan a trip to Tractor Supply 12 minutes up the road in Lincolnton OR the one in Gastonia which isn’t much further.

I tried to use a coupon for 10% off which the cashier scanned from the southern states wensite on my iPhone. The cashier acted as if the coupon went through & when I looked at the receipt I did not see a coupon or discount. I asked her about it & she stated “it gave you $10 off.” I asked another cashier to check it for me because it should have taken 10% off my entire purchase. The other cashier did not see it either. So after about 10 minutes of trying to figure out why the coupon wasn’t applied she clicked on my phone screen to see the details under “view restrictions” & it had expired on 2/2/19. So, the cashier found a coupon she scanned which gave me around $8.50 off my purchase. The 10% coupon would have given $36 off my purchase. Since I was expecting to get 10% off my entire purchase it was quite disappointing considering the amount of money I was spending. I’m really confused as to why a coupon would be advertised on a website it if was expired. I have spent a lot of money at southern states having shopped there for several years. Ever since it was moved from the Hwy 321 location the staff has changed & they are no longer very knowledgeable about any animal related information when you have questions. The staff at the old location was very knowledgeable and helpful. Although I appreciate the friendly cashier that was able to assist me with looking into why the coupon was not honored, I am still not thrilled about the false advertising on your website.

They have a friendly staff and a nice clean store but they don't carry a lot of the products you think they should or would carry I mean a place that sells chainsaws doesn't have the spark plugs for them that's a little weird don't you think.

LOVE Southern States and ESP their ELEVATED dog bathing station! I take my Boxer there monthly for her bath & blow dry. I wish more places had these stations. GREAT Customer Service.

The Manager at this store happens to be my father! He's always been a strong hard working man! He puts into his management position 100% and takes it VERY seriously! Sick or hurting, he still gets up and works everyday. He has been a wonderful role model for all of his children. Im proud to say, his positive example has shown me to have determination and drive not to give up and has made me who I am today! Great job on the new store Daddy, and the old one as well. Kudos to Randy and other employees that are hard workers too!
