Me and my better half had a wonderful time at healing springs. Service was wonderful they was so respectful and courteous. Located close to helton Creek and new river some of the best trout fishing I western North Carolina.Nearby activities: Beautiful new river very close by helton trout fishing stream about 5 minutes away.

I got the opportunity to meet the new owners.. they were extremely nice and they make you feel very welcome.. just try it for yourself.. take note and remember they’re beautiful cabins they’re over 100 and something years old.. the scenery is gorgeous. We stayed here on a whim a while back. We were in the mountains and looking for a place to stay and came across this on AIRBNB. It had good reviews, it was late and we needed something close to where we were. We were very sorry. It was horrible. Looked like shacks in the wilderness and we were given a room right off the lobby where you check in. No privacy - anyone could have easily got in. It also advertised a kitchenette. What a joke! Some shelves with a few utensils and a small microwave. Bathroom was out of order and we had to wait for them to come fix it. There was also a long window in the bathroom that wasn't covered and it faced a public sidewalk going around the building. We contemplated what to do and finally decided to leave. As others have said, the owner was very ugly and rude. Oh, she dripped with honey when we first came in, but when faced with the problems, she became a different person. We lost time and money on this one. Beware if you are thinking of going here. Not what it is made out to be. I would give it a zero star if possible.2/26 Just saw the response from the new owner. We were not given a cabin, but a room off the main lobby where we checked in. I added a couple pictures that I found which included the window in the bathroom. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the "kitchenette" Thank you for your response. I'm glad to hear it's under new ownership. Maybe that will bring improvements.

If you want a rustic getaway, this is the place. We had a duck cabin with full kitchen and bathroom and wifi. There is no TV but you can watch shows with you computer or phone with your streaming service. Weekday prices are great. We enjoyed the campfire and the creek and The Healing Springs water. Make sure to bring some jugs to take the water home. There are many places nearby to enjoy, like West Jefferson, New River State Park, Jefferson State natural area, Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia all within 30 minutes. There are various types of accomodations here. So make sure to get the kind you like. We once stayed in a room with shared bathroom and kitchennett. But we got a full cabin this time.Rooms: Old style rooms but nicely done. Full bath and kitchen. No TV but WiFiNearby activities: Several State Parks and downtown West Jefferson.Noteworthy details: Very much like a country getaway from city. No food service here.

I didn’t stay at the cabins , but stopped for the spring. The spring water is free and has a great historical write up. The cabins do look nice.Rooms: Historically remodeled.Nearby activities: Secluded area, very peaceful.Safety: Nice and quiet.Walkability: Limited activities in the immediate area.Food & drinks: Camp store located on site.Noteworthy details: Quaint little area with a wonderful spring.

My wife and I have visited this place multiple times. The location is perfect very peaceful. Our kid loves the creek. It’s also conveniently located to West Jefferson and state parks up in Virginia. Make sure to stay here.Rooms: Clean, cozy. Perfect for a quiet get a way with family

Great location and very peaceful! The cabin was newly renovated so it is fresh and clean. The bed was very comfortable with fresh, soft sheets, firm yet soft mattress. I normally sleep with a three inch foam topper and and although it wasn't the same, it was excellent. My husband also loved it, and he prefers a very hard mattress.In their general store, we bought wood, matches, and a creosote starter for the fire pit for $7 so we could roast marshmallows for a full experience. It was fun to do, and I highly recommend it.The natural spring was fun, too. There's a small hand pump that can be used to bring up the water. Thankfully, I had a gallon jug because of my cpap, so we took some home. 😉🤓 If you don't have one, you can buy one at the general store which has several things you may have forgotten too.

It is so beautiful there. The cabins are great. Love the rooms that have the tubs especially the soaking tub. Anne and her staff are so friendly and helpful and accommodating. It always is a special treat to stay there. She gives you a small one in your room but do yourself a favor and check out her soaps and lotions when you check in or out. I got her body butter last time and my skin is so soft and it smells delicious too.Rooms: Beautiful. Each have a nature related theme that is very tastefully done.

This place was wonderful! My husband and friends were primitive camping on the river about 12 minutes away, but being that I am 8 months pregnant I would not have been able to enjoy that trip to spend time with them without an actual bed. I rented the Finch cabin initially, but since I wanted to bring my dog, Anne helped me change my reservation last minute to the Treehouse cabin. My emails were responded to quickly without any trouble at all. She warned me it was a primitive cabin without electricity, and that was fine with me - all I needed was a bed! Check-in was a breeze, the map provided with my key helped me locate my cabin, and I was greeted with cool A/C, many towels, and one of the coziest beds I’ve ever slept in. The bathhouse was a short walk, and had just the amenities I needed: sink, toilet, shower. For singles/couples that are used to camping, this is a wonderful glamping experience that is very comfortable, private, and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again; for the price, the easy process, and the overall experience. Two of my friends helped me bring my belongings up the stairs, they agreed it was cozy and were bummed to not be staying there!

It was a lot of fun starting here. The cabins were so quaint and unique. It was also nice to limit the TV Internet connections although they were available. The property is cute. We were there a few years ago when they had a rainstorm and a bit of a flood. There were craw dads in the parking lot by the car. It was a good bit of excitement for the kids. It was also close to the towns like west Jefferson and close to Grayson's Highlands and their horses. And oh yea, there's the spring.

I was unable to keep my reservation due to a family emergency. I was still billed for an entire stay and no portion of my payment for an entire weekend was refunded. The woman I spoke with was rude and refused to allow any explanation. I expected better and to at least be able to speak with someone, rather than be abruptly spoken to and hung up on.

Had such an amazing 4 day weekend. Stayed from a Friday and checked out Monday. I stayed in the Brookside cabin and wow it was great. The bedroom was amazing with vintage style furniture. The bathroom was bigger than I would have expected. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and silverware. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.Nearby activities: Zaloos tubing a kayak rentals is a short drive. West Jefferson has a lot to do in town with store and on the weekends is the farmers market. The Hobby Barn is also in town for those into R/C cars trucks and models and trains

The cabin we stayed in was simple, but very clean and excellently decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast items we ordered (to cook ourselves) were fresh and delicious. The healing water spring was cold and delightful, and we looked forward to filling our bottles several times a day. We even picked up several bars of the healing springs soap, which we have thoroughly enjoyed. It was an excellent stay for my husband and I, and we can't wait to go back!

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Comfort, and Cozy. Loved the history of Healing Springs. If all cabins could be like these, I would never rent a Hotel room again. Healing Springs will definitely be our place to stay on our future trips to the NC Mountains.

I enjoyed my stay at the Cabins at Healing Springs. The room was very comfortable, relaxing and homey. The fireplace took the chill off in the evenings. Liked the convenience to purchase food items, soap, etc. At the Lodge. Added on the Continental Breakfast and it was good. Also liked having the menus of some of the local restaurants. Did go the the Red Dog bar and bistro. Nice drive to the restaurant. The food was good and staff were very nice. Had fun pumping the spring water to use for drinking. Will definitely be back for more stays at the Cabins.
