Nice people, beautiful scenery. Update 8/25/2023 I really want to take a minute and give a shout out for exemplary customer service. We had planned on staying in a cabin for a few days. The weather is going to be pretty nasty all 3 days. Kelley Riverside Canoe and Tube Rentals personally called to let us know. She did not want our stay to be miserable. When asked if there would be a charge to cancel, she said no. I may not make it up there this season, but I will definitely make it next year. I will tell all my friends to go canoe with Kelley. 😀

Friendly staff, had a great time! Just keep in mind tubing times are dependent on water flow speed. We booked the 4 hour ride but we were back in just over 3 hours. It felt like just the right amount of time, but I also wouldn’t mind another hour to relax floating down the river. 😄

We visited July 13th 2017 and enjoyed the 4 hour tubing trip. We have been on other river tubing trips but this was by far the best. The staff is great, the facility is extremely clean and has anything you might need and forgot to pack. The water that day was clear and clean as were the banks. Other trips to different rivers were not so. I had no second thoughts about hopping out of the tube and swimming a bit now and again. It was enjoyable from the moment we arrived, the trip in the van up river right till the end when were met by staff to help us up onto the bank. We will be back for sure!

We went today and had a blast. Staff was nice and courteous. Great deal for the money. Would recommend we did the sit on top kayaks. We did the 11 mile trip finished in 4 hours.

Great choice for canoe, kayak or tube rental with quick drop off and pickup. Super clean restrooms with showers. Very friendly staff, water shoes available and some other stuff.Thank You, we'll be back!

We got there a little bit late but they let us go in on a four hour outing. My family had a blast! Started teaching my older two how to paddle the canoe. Picnic lunch on a river bank 😀

We used Riverside to shuttle us to New River State Park for a 3 hour float back to their location. The service was excellent! The owner provided us with information about the launch site, the River, and their take out location. We highly recommend this business if you want to get on the South Fork of the New River.

I have taken many float trips with the nice folks at Riverside. They are always friendly and happy to help you get anything you need to get out on the water. Their place is easy to find and has clean restrooms if you need to change before or after your float. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

RESCUED! I was the only person on the river on a Sept Monday. Becky took me and my canoe to the State Park put in for the 90 mile New River run. After about 30 minutes the wind came up with gusts becoming more and more violent. None of my 40 years of experience could keep me from being blown to shore. I was pinned in place with the wind still surging. I called the Riverside office and left a voice mail, but not expecting anyone to be around on such a quiet school day. But within minutes, they called and came to retrieve me. Think of this when you rent a canoe - will the service be as good as this?

Love this place! The owners are great people and the float is just what I need to unwind after a busy week at work. They offer a wide variety of equipment and float lengths and will also ferry your own boat if you have one.

Terry and Susan are amazing people! We had such a good time canoeing on the New River, we went back a second time on our four day trip! We will refer all of our friends and family to Terry and Susan’s place/ the price is incredible compared to everyone else around. Wish we lived closer so we could go every weekend!

Did a 2 hr trip on a Tuesday so it wasnt very crowded. Prices seemed a little better than others in the area. Canoes, life vests, and paddles were all in good condition. Facility is simple with clean bathrooms and direct access to the river. The trip itself was really nice. The water was a little high so it was moving pretty good, but most of the river was very calm with just a few areas of very mild rapids. Great for families or if you’re looking for a relaxing ride.

Top ratings for a top rate experience. Susan, Gage, and Terry did a fine job for us. We had a wonderful time, enhanced by the courteous friendly service they provided. We hope to go back in the future. Lovely part of the river to paddle. We did the four hour trip from their shop to HWY 93 bridge.

We really enjoyed ourselves, but couldn’t help but notice the staff was rather rude and impatient. It’s $20 a tube and no rope is supplied to keep your group together when going down the river. Overall the trip was pleasant, but could have been better with a few extra touches from the staff.

Project Healing Waters was invited to fish this River. We had a good time every time we come together it's always fun. Also very thankful for all the volunteers that come out to help the disabled veterans. I would like to say thank you to the Riverside canoe, we had a good time.

We didn't actually get to go tubing because we thought it was going to rain, but it was quick and easy to set up a reservation and cancel. We should have listened to their website which says to call beforehand with any weather questions because of how quick weather can change in the mountains. We decided we didn't want to take the chance of rain, and ended up going into town instead. And of course it ended up being a beautiful, clear day with no rain at all. But thank you for being so accommodating to an indecisive group!

I had the privilege of spending the weekend with the owners, and employees, of the Riverside Canoe, I was very impressed with there service, friendliness, and hospitality. Cabin #3 was a nice little cabin for my weekend, clean and very comfortable. Shuttle services for people with there own kayaks can sometimes be up in the air on service from the outfitter, but having used several services on a lot of rivers Riverside Canoe is my #1 so far. Thanks so much for making my weekend a pleasure!!

Went for a 2 hour trip as a family of 4. We called 1st and they were more than accommodating for last minute reservations. We had a great, lazy trip down the river & would use them again if we returned to the area. Thank you!
