I stopped in here to grab coffee and a snack while passing through, and I believe I've found a hidden gem. First, it's rustic and welcoming. The decor is very relaxed and it's like you're at Grandma's house. It smells like fresh ground coffee beans. The staff was very kind and made me feel 100% at home. NO chain coffee house has ever come close to this. I just love this place - I'll never pass through Creswell again without stopping here, for sure!

I've been traveling to the area frequently for the past 5 years now. I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Creswell. You could tell the town had a beautiful structural history that had fell into disrepair. I was hoping someone with the means would come along and open establishments like this! The coffee was not only good but reasonably priced. I'd come here over a Starbucks any day! We tried 3 different sandwiches which were all delicious. The staff was friendly and the food and drinks came out at a leisurely but acceptable pace. (Full disclosure, I'm from further north where leisurely is never the pace) They were not slow or busy when we visited. It seemed like they had a nice pace of customers. The atmosphere is beautiful. Open and welcoming. My 3yr old was excited to explore. I was surprised to see they offered adult beverages but will have to return another time to explore those options.

Darling local coffee shop with the best breakfast!What a treat to find Big Blue during my stay in nearby Columbia! I went in three times and honestly could have gone there every day. Friendly, caring and attentive owners and staff. Great atmosphere.Fresh coffee, delicious pastries (sweet potato pound cake- YUM), tasty breakfast sandwiches, and the waffle plate was on point. You can’t really go wrong unless they’ve run out of grits! 😂 Wish I lived closer, but now I have an excuse to take another trip to NC. Go early and enjoy the goodies!

I loved this adorable coffee shop! The owner and staff were very friendly and their pastries looked delicious. I got the carrot cake and it was extremely moist and not overly sweet. It was well worth the stop!

This place is worth the drive wherever you’re coming from!☕️💻Great wifi, vibes, coffee, and comfortable space!I camped out at Goose Creek State Park this past Tuesday and work remotely so I needed to find a place to work and let me tell you, nothing beats Big Blue 252 and the warm, friendly amazing staff and atmosphere. They saved my whole work day!They gave this 100 year old building a new life while providing a great place for people to get coffee, snacks, and there’s lots of space to work in the back.The owner (Frida I believe) was so kind and let me stay and work pretty much the whole day and it was so homey. Not to mention, she’s made a lot of the art in there.

Delicious and much needed coffee and breakfast spot in an area without a lot of options when visiting the wildlife refuges and Pettigrew State Park! The staff was friendly and had lots of great options. I had a tasty bacon, egg and cheddar biscuit sandwich and my son had a waffle with sausage. Highly recommend, will be back!

This adorable shop is THE one! We stopped here on our way home from the Outer Banks and everything was top notch! From the coffee to the breakfast, and the friendly service, you can tell that they care very much about you as a customer! Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and the croissant was “the best I’ve ever had,” according to my child. Wish I could give more stars!

Such an amazing, warm welcoming and great hospitality!! Felt like home, and writing on the wall was fun. Walked in around 8a.m. and within 5 minutes, it was crowded but happy to see how most people knew each other and how everyone was greeting and catching up. Ok, I cannot tell you how happy I am that this business is here!! Finally stopped in and got an iced matcha late, hard to find around here and it was soooo good! Found out they have a full breakfast and am going back for that for sure!! Most importantly the people at this place are so friendly and welcome you with a smile and the atmosphere is so cool, very cozy and moody, LOVE it!!Parking: Plenty of of spaces in front of the place and on the street and all are free

This is one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever stopped at! I highly recommend it! I ordered a Latte, a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a cheese danish and it was delicious. Very kind people and lots of choices in coffee, muffins, danishes, cake, bagels, and more! Accepts, Apple Pay too. Clean, fast service! Right off the interstate, Exit 558 and conveniently located on the way into Nags Head/ OBX/ Roanoke Island.

We only live about an hour away, but wanted a local shop for coffee on the way back home from the beach … when we stepped in with 3 boys, it felt like home!!! The atmosphere, the people, the love and the food. We just ordered some lattes to go, with a cheese danish and also picked up some tea bags from South Africa!It may become a “usual” place for us as we travel To the coast often for the summer!!!Kid-friendliness: Kind and patient staff !!

Found Big Blue 252 Coffee Bar on google map search for "coffee near me." What a pleasant surprise! Decided to eat breakfast there along with getting our coffee fix. Yum! Omelets were delish!
