I buy 2 bags chicken feed when open the bags see all feed wet and smell horrible we back to the store to return the feed for new bag of chicken feed when return to my house I open the new bag the same problem all feed wet and smell real bad and make one more trip to the store I speak with the manager the manager very angry accept to replace the feed for other chicken feed bag this is not right 3 trips to the store just to buy chicken feed not one say I'm sorry for me this is the last time in this store after 20 years good luck Southern states Creedmoor

This was a great store at one time but not anymore. The 2 cashiers are to busy looking at their phones. Never greeted me said hello when checking out or thank you. Go ahead and free up location for something better

I despise every Southern States I've been into. The staff is rude, not helpful, and their prices are typically higher than the big name store I usually shop. I'll pay higher prices, on the 1 or 2 items they may have cheaper that I use, for the customer service.

It's alright. Reliable feed supplier. Tom the delivery driver is the main man! If your looking for supplies, go to tractor supply instead. They got a much better stock.

Southern States should close this store. After the former, Army-vet manager retired, this store has gone downhill. Rude staff and management, lacking the necessary skills and knowledge to deal with the retail public. Incorrect and unreliable information is their norm.

Great store, great customer service, prices are fair.I usually get my chicken feed here for my flock of ~100 chickens. It's cheaper than other feeds, usually $1 cheaper per 50lb bag or so. And it seems to be better quality.We also purchased chicks here in the spring. The chicks were slightly more expensive than other supply stores, BUT the store employees actually knew a bit about chickens unlike other stores.The chicks were sold as pullets and they actually WERE pullets! Awesome! So many other feed stores say the chicks are "sexed" as pullets, when in actuality they're straight runs.Summary:Prices range from the normal to cheap. Customer Service is great. Employees are great. Quality is good too, lots of Made in USA.P.S Always make sure to check out the "Clearance/On Sale" table in the store. Good deals on useful items. I.E rope/pots/seeds/chain etc

This is my go to in the area for a lot of things around the farm, I dropped them to four stars because on my last visit to buy some fencing I got off work just in time to make in the store inside of an hour before close. The lady that helped was great above and beyond even, but one of the guys working there made me feel like I was more trouble than it was worth, rushing me and reminding me numerous times how it was getting close to time to go, and this made for a very unpleasant experience for me. Being a regular and loyal customer I expect a bit more respectful treatment. Sans the one disrespectful employee definitely one of me favorite places to shop.

Sadly, unimpressed. At least 6 employees in the store and not one even greeted me much less asked if I needed help. I even stood about 2 feet from 2 employees looking at a chainsaw for several minutes waiting for one to ask if I had any questions. Its a nice little store, but nothing you can't get everywhere else and the mark-up is high by comparison. Might be ok for the local clientele, but not worth my 45 minute drive.

Poor customer service. After shopping here many times we tried to return some pine shavings. First ever return. We lost our receipt. They refused to return or exchange even though it has their name brand on it, it was unopened, and not perishable. We will take our business to tractor supply.

For the second time to the store in 2 moths, I was cooly greeted by " hurry up and get what you want, we close in 5 minutes" . I arrived @ 4:55 PM. The website indicated that they were open until 6:00 and I was made to feel like it was my error. Customer Service is poor, to say the least. No greeting, or offer to help find what I needed. II work in a customer service health care industry, and I would eliminate anyone who greeted our patients in the same manner.Will gladly drive a bit out of my way to spend my money at the very friendly, helpful people at Tractor Supply in Youngsville. Gave one star, since it would not allow posting without. Otherwise, they'd have gotten none.

Went here for a chain saw and walked out a happy shopper. After browsing Facebook market and Craigslist, I decided to see what a new one was going for. I set myself a limit of $400 and left with more than online medias could have offered. I got a medium use, strong, 18" and carrying case for less than $400. The employees were kinda young but the guy I spoke with definitely knew what he was talking about. Very informative and had a quick answer to all my questions. Glad I went this route instead of getting a used one off someone online.

We visit here often. My husband buys all of his Stihl equipment from there. Chainsaw, weed eater, blower etc... Colton the Stihl guy is always friendly, knowledgeable, and as helpful as can be. He’s good at saving us money with deals. It’s a very nice small town place.

I usually get four bags of feed and four bags of corn for my chickens. They are all 50-lb bags, but they'll roll them out to your car and put them in for you. Friendly people and the best price on chicken feed then I found anywhere else

If your chain saw needs repairs, do not bring it here if you need it back. My husband left his here. Long story short, it took over two months and many, many phone calls, to finally get his repaired & returned to him. Cudos to Lisa and the manager, Holt, who actually did the repair. BUT, Businesses, do not blame Covid19 for your short comings. Covid19 did not prevent a phone call explaining why this chain saw was not being repaired for 2 months.

For a "Farmer Owned" business they sure do open late. I don't know a "farmer" anywhere who waits till 8:00 in the morning to get started. Other than opening late on Saturdays, Southern States is the best!!

Has most farm and garden items i've needed, and a nice seed selection in the spring. They need to upgrade the garden center though. The plants often don't look great.
