I have shopped at Food Lion for years. I avoid Walmart even tho the prices are lower because the shopping experience is much more pleasant at Food Lion. That is until today. In all the many years shopping at Food Lion, I’ve NEVER been asked for a receipt after checking out. That in of its self is not the what made my experience today the worst, it was how I was approached by the young woman overseeing the self check out area. I definitely noticed the employee standing off to side of me watching closely as I scanned my items. Then as I went to leave, she blocked the exit from the self check out area and said in a fairly rude and accusing manner “I need to see your receipt”. She then REACHED HER HAND INTO MY BAG AND GRABBED THE RECEIPT. She SLOWLY counted every one of my items. I asked her if she thought I was stealing something…she ignored me and continued counting. She did this in front of several people as if she was trying to embarrass me. Guess what, everything I had was on the receipt! And without even an apology, handed me my receipt and went about her business. If this is where Food Lion is headed, I need to reconsider Walmart.

As far as discount grocery chains go this particular store isn’t bad if you really need something and there is no where else to go, because, there is in deed no where else to go for groceries. Positives: Always has a decent selection of canned, boxed, middle aisle foods. They have a great selection of ice cream and cheese. The produce is really hit or miss and most recently it’s been a miss. Today I was happy to find the garlic I needed, canned crushed tomatoes (not the brand I wanted but it’s not very common in the south) and of course ice cream. The clientele are quite seedy especially after dark. You’ll usually see a Carolina crawler or two in the parking lot. I don’t think I’ll bring my kids with me when I have to go after the sun goes down. This isn’t really a Food Lion issue, it just seems to be a place people tend to congregate after hours. I’ll be back, as it does serve it’s purpose in town.

I tried to get food from the deli. After I got the worker's attention, after a good 10 minutes without anyone else in line, I asked if they could get me chipped chopped ham. I was told that they do not do that. What deli does offer chipped chopped ham?

The best wings ever on their hot bar for an inexpensive amount and the employees are extremely kind and helpful each time I visit their store.

If I'm honest, I only go to this store because it's convenient. Employees stocking the shelves will not share the aisles. Deli will make a decision if they are going to wait on you. Vegetables are hit or miss. The bright spot are the checkout employees. They are always friendly.

We LOVE Food Lion and the people. They really train their people, especially the younger ones, to be very courteous and polite to their customers. However, that store has been laid out the same way for at least the past 16 years. Changing the layout was a TERRIBLE IDEA! I haven't talked to a single person who likes it. Also, people in our small town PREFER checking out with a human being at a register over a self-checkout machine. The wait time is also longer for checkout as a result of the remodel and adding self-checkout machines. Fix it back!

I believe this rating is about FL Rolesville. I was here Sunday. December 3rd in the late evening. As I passed through their produce section, I easily spotted several spoiled and heavily damaged cantaloupe for sale. I touched several avocados which were well beyond ripe, but spoiled. Please do better for your shoppers.The other foods and offerings were just right. I was able to buy enough clean food to create a dinner.

Ordering online is more of a hassle than it’s worth and they don’t answer the phone when it’s ready for pickup so you have to call over and over again to get your groceries you paid for. Two other people were waiting when I pulled up and gave up and left. You have to use the extension to speak to a manager in order to get a hold of anyone here. They also can’t find replacement items for common sense things so it’s honestly just better to shop in person. Also the app and website glitches and crashes often so just make sure you have an email confirmation of your order if your account gets charged. It’s just overall more trouble than what it’s worth.

Got my cake from the bakery custom made, the writing and color was all correct, but I asked for whipped icing. I can’t eat butter cream frosting. I was a little disappointed with that.

My diet consists of 90% organic vegan foods!I'm a Trucker so I don't have much time to look around so I go to whats nearest to me at the time!They didn't have much of a selection for my tastes but the story wasn't terrible.Plus the employees where very professional and friendly!Definitely good southern hospitality at this location!

On the way back from Duke Hospital, I stopped at this Food Lion location to pick up dinner. The prices were good in the meat section, the produce appeared to be fresh, and the store was orderly and clean. No cluttered aisles. Nice steak sale too! Very good experience.

Final visit I'll ever spend any of my dollars in this place . Sat in a long line at 1130 am 8/5/2022 . Over 10 min the lady on reg 7 I assume the manager on duty.?. We had 5 items light was on and we lost our spot in the previous line for her to say oh I'm closed I have to go to service desk. So then we left. Never have anything stocked . Pretty bad when the distribution center is less than a mile from the store. Harris teeter for me from here on out worth every bit more of my hard earned money

My first visit to this Food Lion in Creedmoor NC... It was clean, neat and employees were friendly!! We got what we needed without a hassle, no waiting in long, unattended lines, that's super👍👍👍 It's conveniently located and was safe also!!! I was there around the after work/dinner hour, so, positive experience!!! I'll definitely shop there quite often... Several times a week!! Plus, I'm an MVP customer and I love the savings!!!

I cannot believe the cashier no longer puts the bags in the customers cart. Bad customer service...and then proceeds to ring up the next person in line with your bags still on the counter. Will not shop at this store again. Will see what kind of service I get at the store in Creedmoor! Very dissappointed!

Always have great variety and selection, produce is fantastic, service is friendly. I particularly love the fresh deli cheese and meats, they are consistently above and beyond as far as taste and quality is concerned. Not a whole lot of health food variety, but I consider that par for the course if the place isn't Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Overall a solid grocery store.

Very clean store, but workers suck..hard to find someone who isn't 16 years old and can help you find something if u need help. They avoid helping you by avoiding speaking or looking at u as a customer...busy on cell phones and playing around. There is SOME good workers but the ones they have up front cashiering currently need a new job...

Pay very close attention to your receipt. I am regularly overcharged. Large and small amounts. Coupons aren't taken off. Prices ring up higher than on shelf. All with their expectations that it won't be noticed. They get attitudes if you do being to their attention. Buyer beware.

This visit to Food Lion was great. Cashier, Angie was pleasant and competent. A pleasure to deal with. Can't say the same for my previous visit... rude cashier.... Will not let her do my check out again.

Your typical small town grocery store but the staff generally seems unfriendly here. Except the overly friendly cashier that took it upon herself to touch my toddler's head. The aisles are narrow and the prices are a little high on things that aren't on sale or store brand. But it's more convenient than driving to Durham to get groceries. The one thing I like is they make an effort to keep cold items together and even bag them in a different color bag which is nice when it's 90 degrees out like it is much of the summer.

A small Food Lion but well maintain buy a very nice staff. A strange parking lot that's a little hard to get in and out of. This is not a larger store so you can only get about 85% what you're looking for. Or at least that's the way it works out for me. But it's convenient and the staff makes the difference.

After 8 years of great experiences, today was terrible. It seems, according to Josalyn (cashier 0167) that placing the bags into the cart after checkout is not part of the service any more. Not busy, seems just lazy with a "tud. . Enough to quit using this store.

I was in the area so I went in to get a few items for my dog at the foodlion in butner, NC. I found what I needed in the food isles but it was slim pickins in the meat dept. No chicken necks, livers, gizzards, or feet. However I did find a good deal on some beef ribs. Prices were about fifty cents higher than the foodlion in South Boston, Va. that I normally shop. One other thing, was the fact that one of the employees was blocking the isle restocking a bottom shelf. He had his cart on one side of the isle and he was on the floor on the other side. I asked to get by, he mumbled something and I had to wait until he got his shelf stocked before I could get by. The smart was for him and his cart to be on the same side of the isle so others could pass.

A filthy, horrible store. The managers are rude, and the staff in the deli have their masks hanging off one ear, or below their nose. I didn't stay home for seven weeks to get infected because Food Lion is unconcerned with safety protocol.

WORST CUSTIMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE! I was on hold for a total of 16.5 minutes ( 3 attempts at calling) and not one person picked up the phone again after putting me in hold nor did the person who's department I was trying to get to! When I called back the 3rd time I asked for management and she could have cared less!!!! All I wanted was to give them my business and order a cake but I will NEVER go back there ever again!!
