3.5 rating so it gets rounded up to a 4. The greens were the only let-down about this course but it's common to see aeration + slowness after Labor Day. The routing is absolutely fantastic. The front is a great blend of fair and challenging holes (primarily #4, #5, #6, #7 are the tough ones). The back nine also has some great variety (#12, #13 are testers). Playing this course when the greens have pace would be a true joy. I've never ran a golf course but providing discounts and/or notice about aeration I think is something appreciated by the entire golfing community.

This is a beautiful course. The young man who greeted us in the parking lot within a minute of our arrival took outstanding care to get my friend's clubs loaded into a cart and to arrange a second cart for our party of four. The staff inside was equally friendly and attentive, including the two young men in the pro shop and the bartender who sent us on our way.Unfortunately, the friendliness of the staff evaporated as we arrived at our golf carts. The woman who sent us off was very hurried from our first interaction, making it seem like we were bothering her.Shortly after teeing off on the second hole, she approached us in a golf cart and said that we were taking too long and that we needed to hurry. That was the end of our relaxing golf game and she went driving off to the next hole. As we were approaching the green, she came back from the next hole and said that there was no one there, that we should just move on to the next hole and she called our gameplay "sad."Admittedly, I don't golf a lot. But, my two other golfing partners are more experienced. One person in a terrible mood made it so that I couldn't really enjoy myself after that. I was out with family and I enjoyed that. But, the club employee didn't suggest that we allow the party behind us to play through. She made it seem like our party was disrupting the whole day and that there a lot of people waiting on us and only us.We finished the course and made it back to the clubhouse, expecting to find a backup of people and hoping that we could get some water. To our surprise, there was no one waiting. The bar closed. The clubhouse closed. The lady who harassed us on the course was no where to be found. We parked the golf carts near where we picked them up and I carried my friend's clubs back to the car.I probably won't come back to golf. I'm just not good enough at golf to golf there and it's not fun to have the staff mock you while you play. I brought friends for that.

absolutely gorgeous golf course! we just hit the range a bit but there was plenty of action. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely love to play 18 but we are here to repax, not stress out haha

Some members were arrogant - tee times were not honored. While playing some members were pushing my group even though we were constantly waiting on the group in front of us. The ranger attempted to maintain pace but there was not alot of cooperation.

Great shape and engaging layout. Good variety of holes. Challenging but not unfair if you’re a weekend player. Good rates in the fall and excellent pace. Lots of wide landing areas to let the driver eat. Greens were soft but still fast. Compliments to the grounds crew for the immaculate bunkers. I hit a lot of green side bunkers but the sand was so fluffy I was able to save par several times. An excellent course to play on vacation.

We played here on November 2, 2023. we were two foursomes. Course is nice and starter was very personable. There was a group playing as a 5 in front of us. It was very slow. When we got to the turn the ranger kept telling us they weren't holding us up. We waited on every shot. We got to the bar at 3:15am and ordered beer, the bar tender, who could care less we were there (was indifferent when I bought two six packs of 16 ounces) abruptly told us eventing closed at 4pm. We said OK we are just having one beer each and she rudly said "Its a hard stop we lock the doors". OK so we probably spent around $1,000 as a group, nice treatment.

The Currituck Club is in my opinion the nicest golf club/neighborhood in all of Corolla. We have stayed several times for a week and we always enjoy our time intensely. This review is for the golf course as we had a chance to visit while we were here! Me and my brothers were able to enjoy a VERY nice round of golf and everything from start to finish made the experience so amazing. We pulled up and immediately had someone come down to help with our golf clubs. He was very quick and attentive and took great care of our clubs. Colin, one of the golf pros who works there is AMAZING! He has such a great golf swing and taught us a few things as well. He has great energy as well and next time I come I’ll definitely take lessons from him!The course was very nice and well maintained. It’s well laid out and there is in a very nice gated community. The drink girl who served us was also great and helped refuel us while we played. They spaced out the players quite nicely as well so we didn’t feel like we were on top of anyone or anyone right on our tail. We will certainly make sure to make The Currituck Club a regular event for us every year we come. Thank you for such an amazing experience! If you are contemplating on whether or not to play golf while on vacation, go ahead and do it and you won’t regret it.

Currituck Club is a very nice course. It's February grass is dormit and course is beautiful. Some tee boxes are messed up. They did seed. But come on people use the sand and replace divots. Greens are perfect. Very fast. I would never pay the spring and summer rate but deals can be found.

One of my all time favorite courses! The views along the sound are incredible and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the Currituck Club if you are looking for top notch golf and a memorable round while here on the Outer Banks.

We held our wedding ceremony & reception here. We really loved working with Nicole (and Liz!) at The Currituck Club. I don't think they told us no - ever. If we wanted it to happen for our wedding day, they found a way to make it possible. I think the only thing I wasn't thrilled about was that my vendors ate before me & my groom, therefore my photographer came and grabbed us to go do sunset photos before we got to eat. We came back to cold food. I don't really "fault" the venue for this though - it was just a scheduling thing and everything tends to fall into place in its own way during an event rather than on whatever schedule you set no matter how hard you try to keep things "on schedule." But overall, our experience with them was amazing. Hurricane Dorian created some damage to their roof just prior to our wedding, and they had things cleaned up as if nothing had happened by the end of the week when we were getting married! Nicole was out on the property hoofing it with the rest of the staff and my wedding planner - she really helped make everything come together! We really appreciated our experience with these guys and highly recommend them!

This was the second year that we've vacationed at the Currituck Club. Both years we've had a wonderful time.It's a private club so there is no through traffic. The club has 2 entrance points- one of which is right next to a Harris Teeter. Super convenient!While it's on the sound side, the club provides trolley rides to the beach. The trolley comes very frequently us there's more than one. We were never waiting very long at all for departure or pickup.With pools, walkways, bike paths, a fitness studio, and a golf course, there are a lot of things to keep you busy and active.We loved it here and look forward to next year's vacation!

One of the best over priced courses on the OBX. Great staff, fun course, great accommodations. But a little over priced. Unless your stuck in Corolla venture out to Kilmarlic!

It's a challenging course with a handful of really scenic holes, but I felt like the course conditions and overall experience were underwhelming for a $190.00 round.As our tee time approached my playing partner and I were set to leave the range and head to the first hole. The starter, an elderly guy, told us to stay put until he found the other two we were paired with and released all four of us to the tee. I play a lot of golf and had never encountered that type of starting protocol before. As you can guess, the starter couldn't locate the other group, so we were just sitting there hanging out as our tee time came -- and went. It was obvious to us that the other group, unaware of this unusual procedure, slipped by the starter and was already on the tee. By the time the starter finally led us to the tee the other twosome had teed off, figuring we weren't going to show up, and were driving away as we approached. The starter mildly scolded them for their non-compliance with a rule no one had any reason to know about.The lack of GPS on the carts is a big drawback at that price point. I've played courses for a $100.00 less that had terrific GPS carts. Because the course is located in the middle of a vacation community, a lot of novice golfers seem to play there. That's fine, but you can expect the round to take longer than usual. Plan on five hours if you usually finish in four.The greens were decent. They rolled pretty true, but there were too many scuffed up areas and way too many unrepaired ball marks. I attribute the latter to the large number of inexperienced golfers playing there that never learned course etiquette.It would be a solid course at $120.00, but we probably won't play it again for the price we paid, even though it's a two minute drive from the house we're renting.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this course. I cannot understand how they charge $150-200 for a round for such a poor experience.The starter wasn’t too pleasant. Interrupted my range session to ask if I wanted to start early. I agreed. I had only hit 2-3 balls of my large bucket (which costs money btw) even though they charge you $150-200 a round. I gave the rest of my bucket to another guy on the range. I get in my golf cart, starter asks for my name, he confused me with someone else and said I am not up. No apology or refund for my range balls.In addition to this, no cart girl the entire round (apparently she left early that day our round started at 2:12).All water coolers were empty.The group in front of us couldn't be slower. No marshal either btw.Really wanted to like this course too!

More like a 3.5. Great layout , range and practice area but price points are a bit high especially when the carts don’t have gps. For premium greens fees I would think gps would be included. Some of the tee boxes were a little rough as well. Would be great if they could offer a limited membership plan like some of the other courses do in obx for part time homeowners living north of Duck.

Had a great round of golf here. Of course was well-maintained and the service was great. This is my first time playing here and I really enjoyed it. The greens had recently been aerated but they we're rolling true and it was not an issue. The course has a wonderful layout which takes you along the Back Bay for a number of holes and the rest of the course is laid out in such a way to keep you interested. If you're on the Outer Banks I highly recommend playing this course.

Course came highly recommended, I am very disappointed today. For this price point i expect exceptional course conditions. Saying the conditions are less than exceptional.Tee boxes are a mess, a couple greens had burned out spots, the bunkers were washed out in spots on a couple holes. The greens were a mess, pitch marks everywhere, I was repairing 4-5 per hole plus mine. I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium golf experience, this was not even close.Additionally, at this price point I would expect a GPS system on the cart, nope.. I could go on, but, I think we will explore other choices for our next round.On the plus side, the staff was very courteous.

We played last week and the pace was incredibly slow. We skipped the last par 5 and it still took over 5 hours. After we started, we never saw anyone other than the cart girl. Nobody was enforcing pace of play, or anything. You also have to pay for range balls, which is wild when you're paying $170 a round. Such a beautiful course, but left a lot to be desired in the customer service department.

Played this course last week. When we arrived we were told that the front 9 was closed for renovations and we would have to play the back nine twice. This was not mentioned anywhere when booking the round online. Putting green was unavailable. Greens on the course had just been aerated which was not mentioned before we paid for the round. No beer cart or GPS system. For the price you really expect much better. I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Very nice course layout. Overall well maintained. However the greens are so slow it is almost impossible to put on them. In addition there is no GPS on the carts and very few yardage markers except the 150 pole. For the price (expensive) you should expect and should receive more.

Great conditions and a really good track. More elevation changes than most courses in the area made it fun to play. Very crowded as expected with a round right at 5 hours but didn't deter from the experience. Great friendly staff inside and out. Would play again for sure when in the area.

Gorgeous layout and design. Love to hit off of this type of sandy floor. That being said, for $150 bucks it would have been nice if the carts had GPS and they would have repaired the massive ball marks left on greens from the day before. We teed at 0730

I played with a group of 3 here this week. When we arrived, there were no carts available as all were out in the course. Concerning, but no big deal. We had about 40 minutes til our tee time, so we grabbed a bucket of balls and hit the range to wait on our carts. With about 20 minutes til our tee time, we get carts brought to us, and asked if we were the 1:08. We said yes. We were asked to hurry over so play didn't get behind and that the tee box was empty. Feeling halfway guilty, we left 15 or so balls and rushed over only to find a 4-some about to tee off. We ended up teeing off at 1:15. Our round concluded at 6:15. The waiting for 5-15 minutes on each tee box was ridiculous, and it wasn't just us, it was everyone. Until the tee splits are widened, take your $160 and drive a bit further for a much better experience.

Excellent layout especially opening holes and finishing holes. The holes around houses are less interesting and don’t seem to fit with what the designer intended. Pace of play was a realIssue - 5 hour round. Waited on tee box every hole. I called golf shop to see if they would move a slow group that was out of position. They promised to come out, but never did. If the course will not enforce pace of play, they need to space out tee times.

Everyone is so nice there. Lunch was great. Golfing amazing nice clean golf course. Clean 🚻. Course is tough bring your game. Bar club house just what you think it should be. Nice spot no rush when you play. The cart people are great they work for tips they are great kids.

I have played this course before, but this particular round was extremely memorable. The course conditions were out of sight considering we had a hurricane come through here about 3 weeks ago! I guess they had to replace about 40 acres of sod on the course and that's why the conditions were so good. In any event, it is a really fun time and I promise that you will end up playing better and enjoying your golf more because of the conditions and excellent course design.

I had a 7:54 tee-time and had no issues with pace of play and finished round in 3:45 after being paired with three others. Course was awesome! Great conditions, manicured greens, and beautiful scenery. I’ll be back for sure! Pro-shop and starter were very nice.

Major let down….From being out of town I was really excited to play this course as it had been recommended to me by many… and usually any course that you are spending this much money on is in impeccable shape. Unfortunately that was not the case. The 3 Bunkers I was in were so inconsistent not to mention one of the crew member drove their mower tires through the top edge of the bunker right in front of us and left a huge 1ft deep tire mark on the lip. Tee boxes were fuzzy and uneven. And the greens were covered with ball marks and were soo soft and slow you had to blast all your putts and fly every shot right to the hole because the greens would grab and stop from any lie. The ball would not roll out at all. Save your money and go somewhere else. Overpriced. They should be ashamed for charging this much because it’s pretty obvious it’s not worth it, maybe it once was but not now. Wish i saved That money
