We had picked a different restaurant for dinner but when that fell thru we picked Sundogs. I was skeptical but it turned out to be amazing. A little hidden gem! Can’t wait to go back.We had the salmon, blackened tuna and the seafood pasta. Not pictured was my daughters crab cakes. She LOVES crab cakes and she was overly impressed.The staff was very friendly and quick service.

This place was a pretty good place to eat. The staff was super friendly and the menu had a fair amount of options, mostly seafood. The crab dip was amazing, and I loved the French fries. I only gave it 4 stars because the fish was not that good in my opinion, but everything else was great!

I am very patient and appreciate the hard work of servers and management in restaurants but this place scored a big Zero!!!!!!!! It was not even the busy season and it sucked!!!!! Why should it take 1 1/2 hours to get burgers to a table, something in the management was seriously lacking… I am in this area about once a month and I will NEVER come to this establishment again

Absolutely phenomenal. I was expecting just another tourist place with generic food, but everything we had was excellent. We ordered take out on our first night and dined in on our last night. The first time I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese, not expecting much. However, the the mac and cheese was rich and creamy. Absolutely decadent. The barbecue was tasty as well. On our second trip, I got the beef brisket sandwich. It was so tender that it practically melted like butter in my mouth. Staff was great as well. Very pleasant and orders were accurate

Hands down, the best restaurant in OBX. My family and I have been coming for years and despite a new and different menu, the food and service has always been tremendous. Don’t bother with some of the more busy restaurants nearby as we’ve never had to wait for a table.

Well prepared food but the vibe was a bit off for me. Went for lunch. Tuna appetizer was very good. White Belgian Mussels were lacking seasoning but cooked well. Just wasn't the experience we were hoping for.

This place has a fun atmosphere and is a fine place for a cocktail or a beer.The menu is mostly seafood but you have burgers and some good salads.I got a "small"garden salad that was large and very good followed by the fish and chips that was good.I will go back again.

The food was amazing!The prices on the bar codes were not up to date, and when I asked about it they said it's been years since they updated it, yet when we ordered drinks they didn't have a drink menu but had us use the bar codes instead. Some drinks were 2$ higher than it originally said, and if I had known I wouldn't have ordered any.Food prices were reasonable though! Our waiter was a bit pushy about orders and a little judgemental if you chose to create something different but overall nice!

If you like raw oysters, and fresh local seafood this is a good place. It's a bit touristy, and the prices for market value food can be high. There was a 70$ plate on the board. It can be a bit busy, but it stays clean. There is a nice mixed drink menu. They share parking with a lot of other businesses in a mini mall area, so there is plenty of parking and lots of ways to spend time if you have to wait for a table.

Great food, especially the specials and seafood. I've been several times. My daughter loves the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese. I find the staff exceptional given the service and the number of customers. The area is vacation destination. Other negative reviews regarding staff service are from entitled _____ that have never worked in a kitchen or wait staff.Kid-friendliness: Good kid menu options

This reminds me of a sports bar. I was here in May, and it was busy nightly. It is in the lil charming downtownThe food was amazing, especially loving the coconut shrimp and seafood mac and cheese.The waitresses (i assume they were new)were not in tune with customers' needs or wants yet. But the food was so good we returned another night. This time, there were waitresses who knew this business, sharp, instinctive, and professional. (Like the back of their hands).I would recommend it for sure, hopefully the young staff will be ready for the summer rush.

God aweful food, crab cakes were completely bland with no seasoning once so ever. I was very stoked to try some seafood but was greatly disappointed. I would not recommend this establish to anyone who wants a decent meal.

Tried to patronize this place twice while vacationing in obx. Went a couple years ago and everything was great, both food and service. This year was completely different. Went later in the evening on Wednesday only to be met with nobody at the front area. Took them 10 minutes to finally send someone over to take our name and tell us an hour wait. Said oh well we’ll try again tomorrow. Thursday rolls around and we try to go early to beat the rush only to be now told “starting today” they close the kitchen between 4 and 4:30. They wouldn’t even seat us or put our names on the wait list. Apparently they just don’t want our money.

Sundogs is usually a place we will stop at once or twice during our vacation. In previous years, we haven’t had a great experience with staff members but the food is decent. We went there this most recent vacation for a late dinner. We looked at the late night menu online before ordering. From the bartender’s demeanor, I felt like a nuisance for ordering food so I regrettably ordered a $12 drink under pressure. I was told chips and salsa “weren’t a thing” although it was on their menu. I ordered two fried shrimp baskets and received popcorn shrimp that I could’ve bought frozen at the store. In past visits, we got actual breaded shrimp from their late night menu. On their menu, the shrimp were advertised as $11 but I was charged $13 for each of them. Overall, I just don’t get friendly vibes from anyone working in this restaurant and I really wish there were other places open late in Corolla.

We were hungry after visiting the Currituck Lighthouse so we decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed! I had the Cowboy Burger and it was fantastic and we had crab dip as an appetizer. Others in our party had Fish and chips and the shrimp Po Boy sandwich, and it was reported as delicious also. It should be noted that their fries are DA BOMB. Drinks and service was great thanks to Dax! We will be visiting again!

This place is delicious! We stumbled upon it while visiting the area on a family vacation. We went in for a late lunch. The service was great and the food was phenomenal! I had the Reuben egg roll appetizer as my meal. My fiancee and I split a side of French fries (he got the wings which he said were very good too). We wish we had a chance to go more than once while visiting the OBX. Next time!

My family and I (of cousins in our 20s and 30s) just stopped by to have a couple drinks during our family vacation. They had a $10 cash only cover for a band that had filled the place up about 25%. About three other groups of 4-6 people were also turned at the door for not having cash. The explanation was that “the band only accepts cash.”It’d have been great if someone had directed us to an an actual bar instead of this place. Let me recommend Ike’s for a really fun atmosphere without prohibitive barriers.

Definitely recommend this place. It not the typical bar food, but an upscale version of your bar favorite foodies. Good beverage (both "adult" and non-alcholic) selection.We went twice in the same week, which is something we've never done at any other eating establishment in the area.

We loved this little restaurant and highly recommend it. We had crab dip, salmon entree, and cajun pasta. I also sampled the Poke bowl, crab cakes, and fried oysters. Everything on our table was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back any day!Dietary restrictions: A friend has a peanut allergy and they made sure nothing was fried in peanut oil.Kid-friendliness: Our toddler spilled a cup of water and they were on it within seconds. No complaints from the waiters, either. They were friendly to our toddler and they were very patient when he took a while to order his own food.
