Big shout out to Scotty, John, Walter, Jorge (I might have spelled his name wrong), and Kay. These people provide a lot of the parts that keep the boats on Lake Norman going every weekend. They won’t have everything but they can get it for you and show what you what you need if you don’t know the part number.Please bring your serial numbers for the motor and they will make it easier for you.Thanks again guys! Keep up the great work.

Pleasant, knowledgeable staff of mostly seasoned boaters offer good advice but inventory levels are overall, ehh at best especially for specialty items.... They can generally get product out of warehouse on a Thursday if you special order on a Monday same week. Challenge is Defender or even Amazon are same 3-5 days, and usually priced 30% less.

Pretty cool place. Has all your boating needs. Bought a propeller the kid said would fit perfectly on my boat. Turns out it's an inch and a half to big for my little mercury classic 50. I Live about an hour an away so guess ill keep it just incase. I Will go back again though I will just have to talk to not know it all adults!

Great staff, reasonable prices compared to other local marine stores. I live on the opposite side of the lake but drive past my local marine supply store to go to West Marine instead.

A nice little shopping center. There's a Dollar tree (and they normally have ice for $2.00 a bag) and a great Greek restaurant.

These guys are always friendly and helpful. Very easy to deal with Warranty issues. Seems like a pretty nice company overall. The Employees seem to be happy also which is kind of rare these days.

Showed up in store with an extremely limited quantity of what I was looking for (2) for the same item the priced ranged from $25 to $60, well of course they only had the most expensive one in stock. Being a frequent costmer I was seeing if they could do something about it and was told good luck. Gladly went to boaters warehouse where they actually had inventory to choose from and more competitive prices.

My battery failed at the ramp so I sent my wife to the Cornelius store for a new one. She came back 45 minutes with the brand new battery. I was stoked but the battery wasn't. It wouldn't even turn it over. Back she went with the new "dead" battery in tow but before she left she commented she hated dealing with Walter, he has the personality of a fire plug and acts as if you're bothering him. An hour later she returned with another new battery. She said that Walter was just as rude and condescending as ever. He told her that there wasn't anything wrong with the battery, it was her boat. If that wasn't enough she said no one bothered to help her carry the battery and when she struggled to lift it up that it made noise as it came to rest on the counter. Walter was on the phone and commented to whomever he was talking to that some woman just slammed a battery down in the counter. I've spent a lot of money over the years at this store but as long as they continue to employee rude inconsiderate individuals as Walter I'll be shopping the internet. The second battery worked perfectly. This store has lost its focus on the customer.

I went there for my first time with out of town guest. We parked and went in they knew of my reservation..got me my paper work , while doing that they called down for the boat.By the time I signed the paper work. My boat was at the dock.The staff gave us a quick but through run though.. we were off and running in the boat they promised. We had a great time and on return we were greeted very friendly Boat was as expected..staff was super pleasant..price was as quoted. You couldn't ask for better. My first time but I am a fan for life.

I looked online and saw that they closed at 7pm. I drove an hour and a half only to find they closed early and the closing times had been removed from the sign. So I wasted half a day driving , but returned home to order the part on the website. It took 3 days just to ship and now the tracking number saying it will be here in 2 weeks! That's ridiculous! I'm in NC, do u not have a closer hub than CA? I'm so sick of West Marine. I've never received good service, always overpaid for items, and wasted countless hours on them. Never again! I'm done with West Marine for good. Being a business owner myself, I'll never understand how this company stays in business.

if I could give zero I would. Walked in to look at buying an 1800 dollar perception kayak. First off no selection of kayaks they had one in front. I asked if they had more and the guy said no. So I was starting to ask him if i can order online from there and he answered the phone and completely ignored me. I walked out and happily will take my 1800 somewhere else :) thanks West marine for wasting my time but not my money.

What would I do without this store? I have a 25+ year old sailboat, so parts are wearing out. I always get excllent advice from the friendly staff here. They carry an amazing amount of items for a fairly small store, and have special ordered items for me many times. I can also order the more esoteric items online and have them delivered to the store without shipping costs.

It's good if you're in a pinch and can't wait for Amazon, but you're going to pay good💲 for it. They have just about everything, and the staff is helpful. The prices are not quite so helpful.

Been to several West Marine stores where no one was as knowledgeable with electronics as they were here. Helped me understand and select best items to fit my needs. Overall helpful with other purchased items too.

You are better shopping at home online. I have attempted to give them my business three times now...The shelves are 1/2 empty, (they actually carry the items I was looking for- just don't have them on the shelves) and they won't even order a $14 item (that they normally stock, but are out of) unless I become one of their "frequent member subscriptions". I suggest Cabelas online. Sad when the internet provides better service than a local store.

Pretty good inventory of most anything you need for boating. Prices are pretty high compared to Amazon of course but you are paying for the convenience. Staff was super friendly.

I ordered a replacement bowl for a fuel/water separator and when I called back 5 days later, when they said they would have the special order in, their story now is that it is now unavailable and they are looking for it in California!!!! I'm thinking I can almost surely find one east of California..
