I recently had the pleasure of dining at Granny's Country Kitchen, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. We tried Granny's Country Kitchen on the suggestion of a coworker. It was a great suggestion! The service was warm and the food had nice flavor. I had the Philly cheesteak and was pleasantly surprised it was not HUGE! The bread and meat balance was spot on and it had nice flavor. Not overly seasoned at all. My husband had the countey fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. All had nice flavor and cooked well. We didn't try any dessert, but they seemed to several good looking options.We will definitely go back. I want to try the vegetable plate. I'm always looking for a good place to get fried okra and collard greens! I'm also curious about "Granny's Picnic" deal for family eating.

If you want a slice of Americana, Granny’s Country Kitchen is worth a visit. The locals gather here for the great, freshly prepared food. It’s a very clean and comfortable atmosphere with great service. My husband ordered a big bacon cheeseburger and fries and side salad with blue cheese dressing. I had the same salad with chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried squash. We had hush puppies with it. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and kept our unsweet tea with lemon topped off.We recommend highly to anyone who likes down home diners for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We got takeout for 6 people, and the order was placed over the phone. I did not place the order, nor did I pay for it, but it did not take long until our food was ready. I got the country fried steak meal with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. It came with white gravy. I thought that the meal was very good, and held up well after the car ride. We did the drive-through to pick up our order, and the person that helped us was very nice. I felt that the meal was priced reasonably, and the food was good. I would come back and try more of their menu.

The food is delicious! The staff is very nice and really take care of you! They have room for tractor trailers to park in the back so stop in and get some good food on your way through! If you’re not from NC then you really need to try the livermush because you can’t get it in any other state.

After waiting 45 mins on a call in order it was wrong called on interstate and told them I didn’t have all my food so I go back and waited another 15 mins to get to the window. Lady said yea we got it and handed to me I checked it and still wasn’t my order. They legit had my order in their hand and still couldn’t get it right. My other food was cold now I’m waiting on the rest of the food that was now cold. I had my handicap child pitching a fit cause she was hungry. After all this my food still wasn’t right. I want be back those people can’t read a simple damn order. I have her a $20 tip and want do it again

5 star breakfast for sure! We are here today and it was delicious. I had chicken and waffles and I couldn’t eat it all. Large portions, cooked just right. Really nice inside too. I highly recommend this place. We will be back. Great service as well.

Soooooo good! Coffee mug was large which was wonderful. God 2 eggs over easy, Tenderloin and hash browns with toast and it was ALL good. More than I could eat. So glad we found this right off I40 exit 116.

9 times out 10 this place has great food. Today it wasn't. I ordered the hamburger steak and it looked like a flat pancake when it came out. It didn't have any flavor to it. And if I wanted to order McDonald's fries I could have went across the street. The fries had no seasoning to eat and like I said they had McDonald's fries. My wife's food was the same way she ordered the granny's special and it wasn't that good either. She had to bring it home to season it up. I still give it four stars because we will be back but they better not have the food they had tonight again

These types of places are hit or miss. Today was a miss. Pancakes were cooked too long. Did not even finish them and I weigh 300+ pounds. I eat all my food and yours too! You will pass a Taco Bell and a Burger King to get here. Maybe choice one of those. This place is convenient off 40. Real easy to get back on, epically East 40. A local did come in for a to go seeet tea.
