I want to sincerely thank Tamera, a Food Lion employee, who assisted me a few weeks back. I am truly so appreciative of Tamera assisting me both inside the store as well as back to my car, opening my hatch, placing the plants and groceries into my car & helping me manage my pup in tow as well.I have a debilitating terminal disease, Tamera was exceptional both in her understanding of my severe physical limitations as well as her compassion and kindness in what was a truly difficult day for me.It is exactly this kind of outstanding professionalism I see every time I shop at the Food Lion branch location in Columbus, NC. I’ve written so many employees and managers’ names down and am truly grateful to be able to finally write this review. Brava and bravo to you all!I’ve actually wondered, as u all seem to know me when I walk in, the warm recognition, and consistently I’ve been so well assisted or if looking bewildered, there is someone there, in any aisle, willing to help. I used to shop at a different grocer, tho for the last year, I’m returning to Food Lion solely, because of this remarkable team and the effort I see not a singular gesture just to me, far from it, I’ve seen the same kindnesses & professional above and beyond qualities extend to all customer interactions.Many thanks to you, Tamera, you really made a tough day easier, and I extend this appreciation to all of you working at the Food Lion Columbus branch, you’ve so much to be proud of, you are all truly wonderful people. I love as well, whenever shopping, everyone smiles and even at rush hours, not one employee looks pressured. Helpful! Nice! Pleasant demeanor. Decent selection, but they have NO HARD KOMBUCHA, maybe a niche' they have not explored. Also, I did not see any gluten free bread. Well, sour dough is tolerable for those who can't eat gluten.

I try to support local businesses but I just give up. I use the foodlion to go app. In theory it is super convenient but in practice you are left at the mercy of a rushed shopper picking up any item and not the best. Think broken eggs, rotting produce, dented cans, nearly expired items etc. Attached are some recent pictures of my produce

The selection isn’t real varied, but the prices are reasonable and the store is convenient to where we are staying for the next month. Join their loyalty program and get a few extra cents off.

By far the best grocery store around. I actually live in South Carolina right by North Carolina. And I drive the extra distance to go to the Food Lion. Always well worth it. Clean store always well stocked friendly people always glad to see you. I've been grocery shopping a lot in my life. I've run three different restaurants in my life. And let me tell you Food Lion is the best grocery store ever

Definitely will not be ordering chicken from this store anymore. How , just HOW do you mess up a 100 piece chicken order? If you were that confused , you should of called one of the two numbers that was given to you and asked. Not assume we said 200 when it was 100. Won’t be back after today.Rebecca hangs the phone up in my face.

2 stars because its very clean and organized. However, the yellow bleach blonde hair lady that works here for grocery pickup was CONSTANTLY telling customers, mostly elderly, to get out of her way and to move! Something needs to be done about her attitude!

One of my tires was way low and I pulled in to see if someone could put air in it! Erick was super helpful and checked all four tires for me... In the rain!! I had a long drive to make and he gave me the peace of mind knowing my tire was no longer low! Thank you so much!

I am very fond of this particular FoodLion store. I'm not sure why I feel this way about it. Maybe because it's not a mega-store and I don't have to walk a quarter of a mile to find what I came for. And the fact that they carry a few specialty items. Occasionally I drive from Hendersonville just to shop here.

It's a grocery store... they sell groceries. Conveniently located for us. Good prices. Fresh produce and even an alcohol section if you're into that. No butcher or seafood section, per say, but you can get those items prepackaged anyway.

Store was clean. Looked really good. The associates were very friendly. The cashier was on his cell phone while taking care of us at the register (the only draw back). Andrew even spoke to us as we were exiting the store which was very pleasant.

Very clean. Well staffed and constantly stocking shelves. Makes it tough to get down the isles sometime, though, since the isles are one direction only. [5-27-20] I also think the staff may be under a lot of stress ( like everyone ) because most seem irritated. Might have been just me.Sometimes parking is easy sometimes not. They have wipes for the buggies and the buggies are in good shape. Produce variety isn't the largest but they have everything I would need. Toilet paper is scarce, as are many frozen entrees, but the cleaning supply isle is half full and the meat selection is plentiful.
